Happy Halloween lads. On an unrelated note, was applying for a job and this was part of the application. I shouldn't be shocked but still and all.
Oliver Barnes
Almost indistinguishable from America! Thats so weird! its like every white fucking country is approaching a singularity, weird right?!
Nathan Nguyen
How long until the National Party becomes a mainstream political party?
Jaxon Ross
>Black Irish >Asian Irish
Dominic Cox
So lads, let's get down to business.
I mentioned it on the discord already, but I've heard that the National Party plan to hold their first Ard Fheis in November. Anybody have any more info on this? I'm sure the full video will be available on their Youtube page but I'd love to attend in person. We will probably get a first glimpse at their election candidates too. I'm guessing Ted Neville and Seamus Treanor will announce they are switching to the NP.
John Russell
I don't trust this man. Aren't deformed ears a sign of sexual deviancy?
Nathaniel Martin
Hold on, I just noticed that "white" and "Irish" are separate categories. Lol wtf. The eternal Anglo strikes again.
Dominic Powell
>Ard Fheis in November anyway we can hype it up for publicity, get notice to the party?
Easton Gonzalez
Hello again
Nicholas King
>Aren't deformed ears a sign of sexual deviancy Gay cunt, thats my whole family, immediate and extended
Joseph Hughes
Sorry, but Sup Forums proved it.
Kayden Flores
Sup Forums also proved that (you) are a gay space nigger, why don't we talk about THAT instead?
The mainstream media usually report on the Ard Fheiseanna anyway so it will get the National Party’s name out there. For the big parties like Fine Gael and Fianna Fáil the leaders speech is broadcast live on TV if I recall correctly.
Jace Johnson
They are all fuckin shite. Disgusting and smelly. I'd rather eat an actual spud thank you very much.
Justin Reed
>not sending your Army in to kill the strikers Mate....
are any of you in the defense forces, current or former?
Ayden Morgan
>aye halloween started in ireland I know that, didn't know your kids actually went trick or treating, I thought that was an American thing. Like how St. Patrick's day is a meme over here, but its treated more respectfully over there
Christian Moore
>more respectfully St. Patricks is just a fucking lower budget version of your memeshit here, same thing happened to Halloween.
Christian Baker
>happened when did it happen? I thought St. Patrick's day was still sacred at least, don't you guys have public processions and the likes, sometimes over the course of a few days or something of that caliber?
Noah Lee
You always see Leprechaun hats and green every where now. And Holloween is the same level of meme. Thanks Muryka
Jace Ortiz
Yes very similar tune.
And yes during the Troubles some regions were ungovernable on foot by the British so they used Helicopters. IRA couldn't have this so started trying to shoot them down.
>St. Patrick's day was still sacred at least People just use it as an excuse to get pissed and watch shite parades instead of working >when did it happen Whenever your shit media started bleeding over to the rest of the world. Halloween was dead over here mostly and it resurfaced as the plastic american version.
Julian Martin
>You always see Leprechaun hats and green every where now. >And Holloween is the same level of meme. >Thanks Muryka how the fuck does that happen? I hope you're joking about the green leprechaun hats on St. Patrick's day.
Benjamin Long
I'd guess it caught on in the 80's or 90's. I don't know for sure. Sad really
Henry Hughes
just gonna leave this here
Eli Wood
>I hope you're joking about the green leprechaun hats on St. Patrick's day. usually guinness hats in my expeirence
Caleb Walker
Nope, not a joke. Monkey sees monkey does. We always have to do what US does because we are not confident in ourselves as a nation. We can not just simply do our own thing. You could blame globalism too.
Asher Nelson
holy fuck >Whenever your shit media started bleeding over to the rest of the world when would you say that happened? honest question.
thats a damn shame, really is. Was there any protest from local media over this? How heavy was the "bleed over"?
Lucas Sanchez
>when would you say that happened? Marshall plan.
Aaron Thompson
>how the fuck does that happen? The same reason continental europeans wear "wacky" t-shirts with english phrases they don't understand or pictures of fast food they never eat. Americanisation my friend.
>because we are not confident in ourselves as a nation thats what confuses me the most, you read into Pearse, Collins, the likes of them and they're oozing with confidence in the Irish Nation, its people and culture. In "A Path to Freedom" Collins sounds borderline "We Wuz High Kangz" how did you all lose confidence in yourselves?
They were always the minority, slave mentality is prevalent here
Luis Lopez
I wonder what leprechauns have to do with saint Patrick... Oh yeah, nothing, its just us doing what US does and they do it because "hurdydur St Patricks day is an Irish holiday! All i know about Ireland is Leprechauns and green!"
I brought this up with my ma and she says "ach its just a bit of fun for the children" Big children they are.
Thomas Robinson
>how did you all lose confidence in yourselves? I think we know (((why)))
Blake Thomas
I don't mind the wearing of the green but Leprechauns are dickheads in actual folklore and only fuck with people to keep their wealth hidden. fuck all to do with a holy day.
Jaxon Foster
Even still, I would think the works of Pearse and others would be a "cure" of a sorts to this type of mentality, its right and inspiring I just don't get it >Big children they are Powerful. To be fair, the reason why St. Patrick's day is such a meme in the US is because it was started as a day to "instill Irish acceptance" or something of that sort way back in the 19th century It started out as a proto pride parade
Brayden Jackson
it's a lovely thought mate, but look around do your people read your patriots works and inspire themselves on mass to save themselves or are you surrounded by ignorant people who don't care?
Camden Rivera
well how would one go about restoring pride in a people? A nationalist movement can never be successful if there is no nationalist sentiment to begin with
Austin Young
>no nationalist sentiment to begin with Im pretty sure there is a nationalist in every true irishman and irishwoman, i feel it in every convesation i have with family, friends and coworkers, they're just misguided.
Elijah Bailey
This pretty much the main problem is the mentality of "tis shite but it's grand leave it be"
Nathan Wood
Great. So we were the gay pride parade of the time.
Joshua Jackson
I see your point. I often wonder if it Was like this at the time of the rising, or the time of my revolution for that matter. It's often said Paine's "common sense" was very popular in the colonies, but what is "popular" when only 5% of the population actively participated in the revolution?
Have people always been this apathetic? I think history is the greatest instiller of pride, but the question is how to get people to care? Perhaps its the school system, the way its taught?
Logan Hernandez
St. Patricks day in the US looked nice in the 1940's
Jason Edwards
Yes. And how can this attitude be changed, is there anyway to do it?
Carson Russell
A lot of things looked nice before WWII
Robert Anderson
Yes, you are right. Even our Marxists are nationalists but stupid ones at that. They were just lead down the SF path. Misguided is certainly the right word.
Oliver Perry
It was. the people were quite content to not be content under the brits pretty much until the brits fucked it up by shooting people.
Josiah Reyes
>tis shite but it's grand leave it be
You've hit the nail on the head right there. I absolutely hate this sentiment we have and I see it everywhere, and it's always hand in hand with the "oh that's cringy" or "what are you like" snubbing as well. I have no one irl to talk to seriously about these kinds of things except my dad, and to be honest sometimes I feel like I'm talking to one of you lot with the stuff he does come out with. I hate to say it but we're a nation of whingers.
Went to the shop to get some druids earlier and passed by about 40-50 teens mostly lads in small groups all Irish and local. My town of 1200 ppl is still almost entirely homogeneous and massive youth population that's about 60% under 18 iirc. Feels good to live in a place untouched by immigration. I wish every town, and the city and village in Ireland was like mine. Éire abú.
Owen Wood
Massive recessions and the EU
Michael Martinez
The Blood sacrifice. However, in today's world I feel as though the problem is made even worse by the amount of terror attacks throughout Western Europe and no response. I fear as though people no longer feel anything when an attack happens anymore, desensitized, thats how I feel at least.
say a revolt against the govt were to take place today, and some of the rebels were killed by the government. Would that rouse public sentiment? I don't know anymore
Tyler Bell
My dad's a Connolly socialist it's funny how much we agree on regardless and how we even still talk to each other but I wouldn't have it any other way great fun to debate with him Didn't see that one actually but glad someone else said it.
Dominic Lee
Imagine, that's some man's fucking son. Sad!
Wyatt Davis
Not anymore he isn't we both know full well that "thing" has been disowned it just doesn't know it yet!
Jeremiah Green
>An abomination before God and man alike
Jackson Davis
>It's about time somebody bloody reacted YES!
Justin Gutierrez
I could deal with a son being gay so long as he behaved like a proper man should but why in the name of fuck to lads behave like in that picture or worship female singers and act like women. Ireland seems to. Have extremely camp gays
Charles Sullivan
The Jews are to blame for all this.
Easton Clark
Most US historians accept that colonial society was roughly 1/3 patriot, 1/3 loyalist, and 1/3 didn’t really care either way, but leaned increasingly pro-Patriot as the war wore on.
