What does any of this have to do with religion?

>that poster

utter propaganda. My grandpa found Christian stuff in every house he walked into during the invasion

...

This isn't Nazi propaganda, this is anti-Nazi propaganda.

Translated literally: "God with us."

> Having to do what a book says simply because it's a book
> One cannot argue with a book
> Danger of a bad book / interpretation / interpreter

I've always said on the Day of the Rope we need to clean out the churches even before the mosque or synagoge

People like you are the absolute worst, not only do you make an abhorrent post under a non-geo flag but you also show how little research you do into anything by posting a picture that isn't/wasn't remotely true. Op should have been swallowed.

HAHAHAHAHA

...

it is true though.

That phrase has been used since early 1700's in Prussia. Not necessarily a Nazi thing.

THE THIRD REICH AND CHRISTIANITY:

"We will have to deal with Christianity in a tougher way than hitherto. We must settle accounts with this Christianity, this greatest of plagues that could have happened to us in our history, which has weakened us in every conflict. If our generation does not do it, then I believe it would drag on for a long time. We must overcome it within ourselves."
-- Reichsführer Heinrich Himmler; Speech to top leaders of the SS, June 9, 1942 Berlin

“National Socialist and Christian conceptions are incompatible. The Christian churches are build upon men’s ignorance; by contrast [National Socialism] rests upon scientific foundations. When we [National Socialists] speak of belief in God, we do not mean, like the naïve Christians and their spiritual exploiters, a man-like being sitting around somewhere in the universe. The force governed by natural law by which all these countless planets move in the universe, we call omnipotence or God. The assertion that this universal force can trouble itself about the destiny of each individual being, every smallest earthly bacillus, can be influenced by so-called prayers or other surprising things, depends upon a requisite dose of naivety or else upon shameless professional self-interest.”
–Martin Bormann

Many people due to misinformation, mistakenly believe that Nazi Germany was friendly to Christianity. This is not true by any stretch of the imagination. For those who are utterly confused, this ebook proves beyond any doubt that not only were the Nazis anti-Christian, but the Third Reich Leaders were actively working to destroy Christianity, both the Catholic and Protestant Churches.

Morality is the belief that murdering the right target makes you a good person.

Is it Pagan? By Joseph Goebbels
youtu.be/u_LHwKxcOIM

This poem was written by Adolf Hitler in 1915, while he was fighting in World War I.

I often go on bitter nights
To Wodan’s oak in the quiet glade
With dark powers to weave a union –
The moonlight showing me the runic spell
And all who are full of impudence during the day
Are made small by the magic formula!
They draw shining steel – but instead of going into combat,
They solidify into stalagmites.
Thus the wrong ones separate from the genuine ones –
I reach into a nest of words
Then give to the good and fair
With my formula blessings and prosperity.

Shirer, William L., Rise and Fall of the Third Reich: A History of Nazi Germany, p. p 240, Simon and Schuster, 1990: " ... under the leadership of Rosenberg, Bormann and Himmler—backed by Hitler—the Nazi regime intended to destroy Christianity in Germany, if it could, and substitute the old paganism of the early tribal Germanic gods and the new paganism of the Nazi extremists."

>"Bolshevism is Christianity's illegitimate child. Both are inventions of the Jew. The deliberate lie in the matter of religion was introduced into the world by Christianity. Bolshevism practises a lie of the same nature, when it claims to bring liberty to men, whereas in reality it seeks only to enslave them." -Adolf Hitler

>"It's striking to observe that Christian ideas, despite all St. Paul's efforts, had no success in Athens. The philosophy of the Greeks was so much superior to this poverty-stricken rubbish that the Athenians burst out laughing when they listened to the apostle's teaching". -Adolf Hitler

>"Pure Christianity—the Christianity of the catacombs—is concerned with translating the Christian doctrine into facts. It leads quite simply to the annihilation of mankind. It is merely whole-hearted Bolshevism, under a tinsel of metaphysics." -Adolf Hitler

Hitler was just using Christianity to rise to power, he never was a real christian.
Adolf Hitler (1889-1945)
While he would sometimes claim to be a Christian to the religious public, Hitler also declared, "Our epoch will certainly see the end of the disease of Christianity," and claimed that "The Christian religion is nothing but a Jewish sect," and that, "One is either a Christian or a German. You cannot be both." Joseph Goebbels affirmed that Hitler was "completely anti-Christian" and said the best way for them to deter the churches from fighting the Nazi government was to "claim" to be Christian while gradually "strangle any attempt" of religion from interfering with the state. Hitler said that he used the term "God" to refer to "the dominion of natural laws throughout the universe" (and said that he was opposed to "atheism" if it meant denying that). However, he was against any religious conception of God, saying that priests have exploited people's feeling, and that "In the long run, National Socialism [a.k.a. Nazism] and religion will no longer be able to exist together." For such reasons, there have obviously been historians who have classified Hitler as an atheist.

If I had to decipher this, I'd say they certainly viewed themselves as christian but not divine. There may or may have not been naysayers but all this is subject to hearsay, the vast majority of German speeches of the era had a very positive view of Christianity, for what they said in privacy or "undisclosed" is easily misconstrued by half truths or outright lies.

This isn't to say that Germans of the era were a holy people, take it at what you will but to cohort onto this propaganda that Hitler was a secretive peepee poopoo satan worshipping fetishist off of a few sparse accounts after the fact is certainly tedious information at best when his outward and recorded expressions say otherwise.
It would be as if we took current news as fact in my opinion and trumps history were defined by peepee tapes and a dossier which never existed, rather than his own recorded speeches or actions.

>very positive view of Christianity
only reason he did that was for power that is all. All the catholic shitheads voted against him and to keep them happy he said those things. however by the way he acted and what he said and other high german officials it is proof enough Hitler was not a christian. Was he pagan? I'm not even sure about that he may have been agnostic desu.

I actually have an original copy of this poster hanging in this room.

nice its an original?

Do you, or any user know about a story I came across, that Hitler circa early or mid 1920s received some sort of occultic "blessing" (may not be the right word) from an occultist, an older man who died within a couple of years of doing this?

Take the Christ pill
It does you good

RELIGIOUS VIEWS OF ADOLF HITLER

Numerous private statements to confidants denouncing Christianity as a harmful superstition, and his strenuous efforts to reduce the influence and independence of Christianity in Germany after he came to power, Hitler's major academic biographers conclude that he was irreligious and an opponent of Christianity

Historian Laurence Rees found no evidence that "Hitler, in his personal life, ever expressed belief in the basic tenets of the Christian church".[2] Hitler's remarks to confidants, as described in the Goebbels Diaries, the memoirs of Albert Speer, and transcripts of Hitler's private conversations recorded by Martin Bormann in Hitler's Table Talk, are further evidence of his irreligious and anti-Christian beliefs; these sources record a number of private remarks in which Hitler ridicules Christian doctrine as absurd, contrary to scientific advancement, and socially destructive

Once in office, Hitler and his regime sought to reduce the influence of Christianity on society.[16] From the mid-1930s, his government was increasingly dominated by militant anti-Christians like Goebbels, Bormann, Himmler, Rosenberg and Heydrich whom Hitler appointed to key posts.[17] These anti-church radicals were generally permitted or encouraged to perpetrate the Nazi persecutions of the churches.[18]

Although he was prepared to delay conflicts for political reasons, historians conclude that he ultimately intended the destruction of Christianity in Germany, or at least its distortion or subjugation to a Nazi outlook.

Can you please take a picture of it and post it here? I'm sure it will trigger christfags. Thanks in advance user!
