How dare you safe wrongthink goy?

So apparently google deletes documents from your googledrive when they violate the TOS

damn it I just started to like the software too after switching from open office. This is some fucked up shit

why are they killing their own platform?

The big problem is we can change it specially boycotting, but people are too confortable using joogle. So few people would boycott them or help in a major hit.

>Google is now evil after getting a tech monopoly
What browser should I use besides chromebotnet that can still use tampermonkey, userscripts, and adblock? Is there some cracked version of chrome that doesn't farm my anylitics and use 6 gigs of ram if you run more than 15 tabs?

>using jewgle drive for doing actual work in "the cloud"

smhtbqhfamalam everyone knows superior notepad is all you need

better eat your sopa de macao then monkey boy

>liking anything from google at all
are you new here by any chance?

its sad really. they had one job and failed it

brave browser, duckduckgo search engine. Microsoft office mobile is free. problem solved.

>not using your blackberry that isn't even on the internet to type up your manifesto in a Memo doc.

the answer i would like to give is
"they are so powerhungry and drunk from their own power already that they dont realize"
the sad real answer is probably
"they dont. people are far too blind for them to make this any change and they will continue using it regardless"
though

IF ONLY THERE WAS SOME HISTORICAL PRECEDENT THAT COULD HAVE WARNED US

>62 tabs open
>only 5.4GB ram used

I didn't even notice. It's 2017 you should have minimum 32 gb

waterfox, chromium

I use Yandex Browser with DDG search engine and Protonmail

Any serious source

>using jewgle products

Dumbasses deserve it.

>It's 2017, you should have at least 32
Oh he fell for the RAM Jew. Did you fall for the fire in the memory factory jew too?

>storing important files solely on the cloud

lmao

this really. but its still fucked up google just denies you access to them. no idea which is worse

>2017
>not encrypting your shit before uploading it to joogledrive.

>minimum 32gb of ram
You probably only use like 25% of that, it would be usefull to have like 320gb to make RAMdisks but beside that you fell for the ram jew
Is it ddr3 too kek?

Why would you even make documents on a cloud server?

what is TOS?

google docs is great for group work in my college classes
the group never has to meet up or even send files back and forth

Terms of service

thank you

>be a writer
>write via cloud-based service
>be a fucking retard

@all of western Europe. 1984 was supposed to be an instruction manual

>Not using real software like Word or Pages

Pleb

Pages and Word both offer the same thing.

oh thats cool
what is pages?
i had no idea that word did web based docs

Pages is free for Mac/iPhone/iPad/iCloud users. Its an Apple alternative to Word, as of a few years ago I switched from Word and Excel to Pages/Numbers after constantly dealing with subscription issues with MS.

Yep Word online as well as Pages allows for all the same cool collaboration etc without using Google.

bump

"wrongthink will not be tolerated"

bumping for this
>and some c-c-cocaine

Same.

this shit better not be true. (i knew it was true before i started typing. hold me)

my publicly-viewable ERP collection is still up. weird. i suppose ill save a doc on my hdd now

Microsoft Word costs a fuck ton of money and hasn't been proper cracked for almost a decade.

who in the fuck uses mac?

the only real alternative is Open Office and Google Docs. Google docs apparently spies on you, which i guess isn't really a surprise. so we're stuck with either Open Office or notepad/SublimeText/Notepad++

Libre Office bros

breh, 2013 has been cracked since 2012. it's the only way a couple of my excel addins work

>Libre Office

is this good? can you customize UI colors? does it have powerful spreadsheet like excel?

yahoo can match their massive server structure.

i dont bother with google drive though.

it gets the job done.

Kek.

You get all of office for ((((free)))) if you're a student goyim

i just saw the thread by chance.

Holy shit, Sup Forums is a fucking cuckhole

use libre office

I don't use anything but google and youtube. Can somebody explain to me how google docs works? Do they literally look at what I write if I write an essay or something?

Real question what's Google docs? If I use software that's free ill make sure that's it's open source and the company making it isn't the devil so I have no idea what most of these meme services are

>Google drive

They have algorithms that will look through it for wrongthink.

>I don't use anything but google and youtube
Lurk more before posting, newnigger

>121 tabs open
>10.1GB used

are you guys measuring chrome memory or system memory? because windows uses like 6gb

Yeah I don't understand this, how does running internet applications require more than one gigabyte of memory to do the same shit internet browsers did a decade ago. If you ask me it's just a conspiracy by RAM card manufacturers to encourage computer programmers to bloat memory requirements to insane levels to justify needing more RAM that no one could actually ever justify needing. I ran out of RAM space using MSpaint in Windows8 once, it's fucking MSpaint, how much memory do you need?

I imagine it's like a cloud service for documents. Or like a in browser office suite normies use.

>I switched from based /openoffice/ to literally the botnet
Sup Forums would be disappoint

Opera has a built in VPN and adblock

I think chromium hasn't been pozzed yet, just don't sign into google

Or it's just part of the botnet and google or whatever use your computer to save money.

Microsoft office (word, excel, PowerPoint, publisher, access) is like $100 a year for 5 computers(most expensive option) and comes with 1tb of space on onedrive for up to 5 accounts. So my whole family has their own giant cloud even without using an office license. Hell, even has Skype to phone minuets included if you are in to that stuff.

How poor are you?

Use vivaldi

what are some good alt to google drive to store shit? Im guessing i should encrypt the files before hand too right?

Waterfox
And startpage, don't use memememego as it's owned by (((them)))

>Using anything other then your own storage devices.

These people deserve everything they get.

There is no reason not to use libre office.

>implying the stupid goyim will care or notice

you realize microsoft has been doing shit like this since windows 98 with internet explorer and no one has cared. They don't even hide that windows 10 is just one big spyware OS.

uma delicia

>they trusted (((cloud))) closed source software
laughinggentoomen.png

C:\

I'm just using Internet Explorer with six tabs open.

Total memory used: 780 MB

Why is this much needed? The average webpage is only like 17 KB of information.

what kind of mouth breathing nit wit uses google platforms for their actual work???

>Software as a service
Kill yourself desu

>So my whole family has their own giant finger of Redmond up their digital whatever.

Cool story, bro!

Turns out your browser is driving google cars in real time.

this is the joogle version of msft office, so word text editor online

And this is why I don't use cloud shit. I like to have some control over my computing experience and I can only have that by storing things locally on trusted systems.

Libre Office is pretty good.

>Is there some cracked version of chrome that doesn't farm my anylitics
Chromium is an open source version of Chrome. I'm not sure if it's botnet or not but I guess it might be worth a look. If it has the same analytics bullshit then someone has probably forked it by now to remove that stuff.

>notepad
Do you even basic text editing? Use GNU Nano if you're going for something minimal.

>he uses inefficient and optimized software
I'm Fedora 26 with XFCE and Firefox open and I'm using like 800MB of RAM. I have 4GB installed and I never use all of it. What the actual fuck are you using 32GB for if not virtual machines?

>Microbenis and Applel
You sound like a moron eating shit that's really proud of his mouth full of shit because he paid good money for it.

Not useful if you're trying to use Google Docs to edit it.

This is a thoughtcrime. This is fucked up. We need to stop this. Or at least fix it. How do we fix this?

Stop using Jewgle services. Install uBlock Origin and Cookie AutoDelete to fuck with advertisers.

Daily reminder that white people are disgusting degenerate creatures.

>Trusting (((Google)))
Why? Why? A thousand times, why?

...

#breakupgoogle

maybe a larp, but definitely possible and kinda related

>using a google drive
100% deserved. Make your own FTP server you lazy cunts.

>google banning socialists and animal torturers

Why should I be mad at this?

I don't understand
are these private or public docs?
if they're private how the fuck is this not a huge breach in privacy

>wanting muslims to be able to hide terrorism plans in private docs

why

Scrivener is the best word processor available, it's available on PC and Mac, it doesn't cost much ($45), and it backs up incrementally to Dropbox or wherever you like while keeping your originals on your own machine. By this I mean it backs up to a second location on your computer, and the cloud bullshit is up to you. My backup directory happens to be in my Dropbox folder.

In addition to conventional writing, it's great for organizing projects with no main text. For example, I use it for songwriting and for outlining the screenplays I write in Final Draft, and I used to use it for journaling. I also have a Scrivener project called Big Meta which I use to keep track of everything I'm doing.

Syncing between Mac and PC is a pain in the ass, and you have to pay separate fees for both apps. If you spend time on both platforms I recommend Scrivener for Mac, which is better than the PC version, and MS OneNote for jotting down ideas while you dick around on Steam. OneNote syncs nicely between platforms without fuss, and it provides an escape from what with Scrivener can sometimes be a little overwhelming.

A nice thing about both Scrivener (also the company's mind-mapping product, Scapple) is that the demo is fully functioning and it's good for 30 days TOTAL, so if you forget to try it out it doesn't give you the finger 30 days after the download - i.e. if you only write two days per month, it will last you 15 months.

There's a 50% off challenge right now for people who "win" NaNoWriMo (write about 120 pages in November, doesn't have to actually be a complete novel.) It just started this Wednesday, so that's about 1800 words a day. I'll add that I've been using this software for 7 years and apart from the separate Windows purchase I have never once been asked to pay for an update or other DLC.

I suspect it's probably more likely due to the presence of highly efficient East Indian diversity code.

It's just so amazing how far it's possible to shove your own head up the ass. They must have tsar level arrogance.

Personally I go with Iridium + ublock, https everywhere and more.

a last bump before sleep

Don't forget what else Google controls.

I remember people unsble to post here for like 2 hours because captcha fucked up
