Hey, I visited your country once. I thought it was nice. The public transportation was much better then from where I am. The air quality was a bit bad though. There are a lot of nice architecture and temples. The way people were driving there seemed a bit crazy, but partially I think that was because the tour guide was driving crazy on purpose.
I've been reading a lot of Chines fantasy novels online lately. It's a lot less PC then american fiction which is a big relief, and I kind of like the whole cultivation thing.
I don't really know much about Chines culture other then what I see in the fiction, and I'm not sure how real any of that is so hopefully you can correct any misunderstands I have.
From what I gather face is very important in China. I guess face is basically how most people see you, but it seems more complicated then that. Family is very important, and some families can have a lot of power within certain small regions or cities. Local governments have a lot of autonomy most of the time, but the Chinese government can come in and tell them what to do if they feel the need to. Chinese people's views on the Communist Party varies somewhat, but regardless of that people tend to be very patriotic towards China it's self. Are these perceptions correct?

If by pollution you mean pooluttion, or literal human waste being everywhere, okay sure, but in terms of industrial wastes like fossil fuel emissions of the worst kind (like unfiltered coal-smoke) or other industrial wastes, no fucking way is the worst city in China only 60th on the list of worst in the world.
