Ive been in Germany since August 2015 - and it is certaintly not a paradise, but neither was Australia..
For standards of living (house costs,weather, food, entertainment availability, internet, etc) i think they both kind of equal out.
For the Daily Disgust Factor of having to wake up everyday and without fail either see a Nigger or Muslim Refugee leeching off the system - Australia certainly has Germany beat.
Mind you, Im not living in a Big City in Germany, I live in a small city of about 10,000 people in West Germany.
