Christian General (Evangelizing Sup Forums Edition)

>"No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them, and I will raise them up at the last day." - John 6:44

Jesus loves all anons, this I know, for the Bible tells me so.

I was brought [back] to Christ because of Sup Forums, I even stopped masturbating and got a job and now my life is heading in a much better direction. You can come to him too. He's calling you right now. Receive his grace. He loves you. He wants to save you from your sins.

THE POWER OF CHRIST COMPELS YOU

Baptise me in the warm salty piss of Christ

The Christian way is the only way

...

I agree,
I excluded myself from Christendom years ago.
Now I confessed my sins and startet to read new testament.
I not in vegetative state any more, I feel like I live for real now.
Prise Jesus Christ, and pray to holy trinity.

Sup Forums and Catholic generals led me back to the Church. Restoring our civilization begins with restoring our metaphysical foundations, which means returning to a broadly Aristotelian-Scholastic conception of nature, substance, cause, change, and essence. All Sup Forumsacks are encouraged to read Edward Feser's blog, which you can find here edwardfeser.blogspot.ca/

Still having some trouble accepting the Church's position on immigration, especially with the pozzed leadership nowadays, but I am hopeful that we are seeing the beginnings of a rebirth. God bless!

Bless this thread, the best of pool and Sup Forums.

Praise be and good polfession.

Anyone here have family members with cancer? My mother died of it two and a half years ago. I'd be willing to talk and share advice with anyone who wants it.

Nice of you to offer but I don't. Cool of you though,to help others

Pathetic.

true

It's the best way to evangelize my dude, take care though

Any other Lutherans here? I'm not really much of one anymore, but that is how I was raised.

Is there a better way to worship besides being in a room full of massive faggots? Church is the biggest thing holding me back form Christianity.

Welcome back.

Thanks for posting this.

If you are going to have the wife and the family that you want to have, that starts with you being the spiritual leader of the household.

You don't want to finally meet a church waifu, but have her (rightly) reject you because you have rejected God.

Becoming serious in your faith should be part of /sig/

A woman worth marrying will not follow you until she can follow you to Christ. Plan accordingly.

The Church is the body of Christ. The eucharist is one of the most important sacraments, you can't really reconcile with God without it.

Jesus was called son of David and son of Abraham, meaning he was a jew. Why even post here if your just going to act like a dick?

Christ indicted the Jews moron.

Sounds like you haven't found the right church. Also it sounds like you're not really a believer.

>Is there a better way to worship besides being in a room full of massive faggots? Church is the biggest thing holding me back form Christianity.

It may take you a while to find a church family that feels right to you.

Part of that is because you need to find the right family, and part of that is because you aren't who you will become yet.

I very much enjoy going to a small rural church with many farming and homeschooled families. It feels right to me. I am excited to go to church every Sunday morning. That wasn't always the case for me.

I was raised one and still practice as one myself

But when a church is led by a meth addict that sits on mens' dicks is it really a church? Is a guy that collects shekels and gives you advice on being self-righteous really a servant of God?

I just see the men trying to lead me to Christ as being shitty examples. Wouldn't studying the Bible by myself be a better alternative?

Stop going to Protestant Churches. Find a traditional Latin mass community, its the only way to have a properly reverent worship experience in the modern/postmodern age.

Christianity is the only way to end hate between us brothers. May God bless you all, white, black or yellow we are all the same children of God.

I think I'm going to stay in my own hermitage. For now all I see is people pretending to be Christians for social status and financial gain. They see God as only a justification to indulge in their own egocentric desires.

I have found very little community in the various churches I have attended.

>Wouldn't studying the Bible by myself be a better alternative?

No.

Even Monks live with other monks.

I find that it's very helpful to have historical context and understanding of jewish custom when looking at scripture. I tend to prefer educated pastors who can provide these details during discussions and sermons.

But you could become very wise and well-read on such matters, and lack nothing as it pertains to your rational knowledge of the pertinent history and facts.

But you'd still be missing out.

God wants you to love people the way God loves us.

It's very, very difficult. You won't get better at it without practicing.

Your church should eventually feel like family to you. Not a dysfunctional family, but a family as it ought to be. You should care about their well being. You should invest in them. They should invest in you. You should forgive each other.

If you truly hate people, you aren't living the life God wants you to live. This is very convicting for me personally, since I have such a strong Judging characteristic in my personality.

The nice thing about finding a church with people who are similar to you, is that it gives you the best possible chance to start to learn to love other people.

>worshiping a jew on a stick

Yeah you're welcome to study the Bible on your own, but after you do so I'd recommend discussing your thoughts with a professional, like a priest or a minister.

The church is about coming together and worshiping, which may sound archaic, but it's just what you do. It's like a test of faith. A church is a good way to get insight into your daily readings (which is the best way to read the Bible) and to come together with other Christians and discuss what you think.

I can't speak about pedophiles in churches, I've never been to one that was led by a pedo, but there are genuinely good churches out there.

Maybe you should read the Bible and search for a church and then decide if Christianity is for you. It might feel uncomfortable at first, but if you're proactive about it you can actually have fun.

>>There are literally no young people in church here, it's all boomers and pensioners.
>That was my experience with church until I went to the Latin Mass. Something about traditionalism draws the younger crowd.
This is the advantage of the new world and urban areas: You have rich set to choose from and you worship whatever you want.
In Germany the Christian church is under control of the state. Pastors are paid by the state, all their charities are too, so they do whatever the government tells them (means they are completely pozzed).
Church membership is also registered with the state and leads to additional taxation. This is also the main reason why people leave church (a rather clever Jewish trick to kill Christianity).
Which kind of denomination you are part of more or less decided by were you live (outside of atheist urban areas). If you live inside a Catholic village, you are going to be a Catholic or live as an outcast. This is has more to with social pressure and much less with real faith.
Of course, Muslims are free to do whatever they want, that has to be "tolerated".

>le green letters
Thanks for another insightful post. Since you're done here why don't you just leave? much appreciated.

But they only love themselves.

I hear you man church sucks, how holy is the baptism someone received from a kid fucking priest

worldnewsdailyreport.com/catholic-priest-wakes-up-from-coma-after-17-months-converts-to-islam/

>His conversion to Islam took most of his church followers by surprise, but interestingly enough, already half of his christian followers have showed interest in converting to Islam. “If Allah is the true God, I don’t want to be misled in the wrong direction on judgement day. I trust Father Eduardo. We all believe in him” explains one of his followers.

That feel of high morale and bliss is really something. Not even pantheism and the Buddhism experience comes close.

Wow honestly that is pretty pathetic. Idk what to make of that. My gut instinct is to think that if they could be so easily swayed then they really didn't care to begin with. That's tough to read tho

Singing in the Church (depends on church) is a powerful experience. Especially with the chanting and echoing effects. What is yours even like?

>I just see the men trying to lead me to Christ as being shitty examples.

The only perfect man died a long time ago.

Everyone else will eventually disappoint you somehow.

That said, there are better and worse men. You should flee from those who share false teachings. You should flee from those who proclaim sinfulness as Godliness. You should flee from those who continue in lifestyle sins.

God has said that those in positions of authority and teaching who intentionally deceive his people will pay a terrible price.

If there are none around you who will speak the word truthfully, and none around you who try as best they are able to live a holy life, then perhaps YOU should lead?

PS: the bible outlines, in matthew 18:15, how to handle conflicts with other members of the church. Always try to act in faith, and be open to the possibility that someone interprets scripture differently than you. Doesn't mean they are correct - or that you are correct. Seek the leading of the spirit in such matters, in good faith, with a desire to align yourself to God's will, not to be "proven right".

Holy shit.

Here's some OC, guys

...

>If there are none around you who will speak the word truthfully, and none around you who try as best they are able to live a holy life, then perhaps YOU should lead?

If you don't have a sparkling smile and movie star looks no one in this society cares what you have to say.

I understand. I believe, but the only assembly that accepts me without all the gossip and pride is online.

>Wow honestly that is pretty pathetic. Idk what to make of that. My gut instinct is to think that if they could be so easily swayed then they really didn't care to begin with. That's tough to read tho
That's what lifestyle churches are nowadays: Places for weekly pensioner entertainment and for meeting up in the district.

That is just the weakness the church gives you , imagine a church you go to your whole life and then the most religious of them all who you hear preach each week turns to islam , it would be as confusing as hell.

>I understand. I believe, but the only assembly that accepts me without all the gossip and pride is online.
That's a sad state to be in as a believer.

Is that the fault of the believer or the weakness of the church?

>If you don't have a sparkling smile and movie star looks no one in this society cares what you have to say.

It is easy to get discouraged in our world.

But what you're written is false. For instance, the pastor at my church is bald and in his 60s. He is well liked and provides solid teaching.

You posted a pic of Joel Olsteen. You should be suspicious of any church leader who is allowed to be "popular" in our depraved culture. No man may serve two masters.

But for every Joel Olsteen, there are 1000 pastors you have never heard of, who will never be famous, rich, or loved by the world.

Anyone else /agnosticchurchvolunteer/ ITT?
It feels wholesome to be a part of the community and actually help in a tangible way, and being able to see the entire money trail from donation to spending is very refreshing in a charity sense. I think Christianity, or this particular church, is my conduit to traditionalism even if I lack faith.

I'm sure there are true believers out there somewhere. But if I'm stuck in the pozzed world am I better off doing it alone?

>Is that the fault of the believer or the weakness of the church?

It's not the church's responsibility to justify you to God.

Only Jesus can do that.

I encourage you to look over the Bible and find obligations on the church, or obligations that the church should bear on your behalf.

I don't find many.

tl;dr - you need to serve the Church; the Church doesn't need to serve you.

Certainly would be confusing, but I don't worship my minister. An old guy has a near death experience? Yeah that can make anyone go looking for answers. No one said it was easy. The church didn't give anyone a weakness. In fact it takes strength to be a believer in today's society. You make look at it one way, like the half leaving the church, but I look at it differently. I look at it and seeing many people have the strength to stand up and stay strong in their faith even when everyone around them was leaving. To me their something beautiful in that, and I feel very sad for the other side.

>Is that the fault of the believer or the weakness of the church?
That's a good question. What happens if you go to a mass in an urban church and happen to be the only believing person in it? (While the rest is just looking for a fancy place to meet inside, so they're not alone at home and enjoy the marxist stories the pastor tells.)

According to our nazi here, you have "serve the church".

I don't know how it is in Germany, but I haven't had that experience. Certainly church numbers are slimming, but that doesn't bother me. I will keep going and I will keep being a Christian. I'll do what I can to stop it, but I'm just a man.

>I'm sure there are true believers out there somewhere. But if I'm stuck in the pozzed world am I better off doing it alone?

Where are you?

I find it hard to beleive there are no acceptable churchs in your area. But were that to be the case, i'd recommend

1) leaving the area, and going somewhere with a healthy church, and spending time there, and becoming who you need to be..growing strong in faith, and learning to share the Gospel with others...
2) discussing the terrible situation of the place you are in now, which apparently has absolutely no bible-beleiving churches
3) becoming a missionary, and returning to the destitute place you are in now, and ministering to people - perhaps even starting a church

>Anyone else /agnosticchurchvolunteer/ ITT?
Over here you can volunteer in the white genocide. That's great, isn't it?

Pretty good bro, she's a cutie

>tl;dr - you need to serve the Church; the Church doesn't need to serve you.

But if that church is corrupt or the leader has decided to make it into his own personal shekel machine should I serve it?

It's a meme flag (probably a leaf) larping as a Christian.

>But if that church is corrupt or the leader has decided to make it into his own personal shekel machine should I serve it?

No.

Find (or start) one that glorifies God.

>I don't know how it is in Germany, but I haven't had that experience. Certainly church numbers are slimming, but that doesn't bother me.
I described it in People are leaving Christian state church here in masses to save taxes. You can estimate how much faith they had before.
I don't think the people staying a strong believers either. More like the people who don't pay the tax (like pensioners) and don't want to feel alone at Sunday mornings.

Stop being Protestant.

What kind of churches have you gone?

>I think I'm going to stay in my own hermitage. For now all I see is people pretending to be Christians for social status and financial gain. They see God as only a justification to indulge in their own egocentric desires.
Sounds familiar.

Good luck Germanbro. I hope that you find your path to God when you are surrounded by mudslimes and Godless Marxists.

Ah, OK thanks I didn't see your post before. I can say I'm happy I live in the USA where church and state are separated. I can't imagine what it would be like to have the state have oversight on what the church does.

It makes me sad to hear about the state of your churches in Germany. Sounds like the tax is made almost specifically to drive down church goers. But I can't really know what it's like.

Here in the USA (at least where I live) there are many churches and many people attend. Some weeks the crowd is bigger than other weeks, but the numbers are usually the same. In my town the church is one of the foundations of our community

The Pope's opinion doesn't necessarily reflect the teachings of the Church unless he proclaimed it ex cathedra.

tfw no south korean christian wife

...

How do you guys reconcile the vast majority of "Christians" being utter degenerates?

Catholics, lead by a literal socialist who wants whites to have lower birth rates.
My grandparents' Lutheran church, with a lesbian pastor married to a woman.
Countless other shit protestant sects like mormons.

I would like to eventually join a church, while not entirely believing it just to have some sort of morals for any children I have, but honestly 90% of them are old women, degenerate, or catholic.

I guess orthodoxy would be ok but I don't want to roleplay as a slav.

>It makes me sad to hear about the state of your churches in Germany. Sounds like the tax is made almost specifically to drive down church goers. But I can't really know what it's like.
I don't think people mean bad, but my impression is that most of them are essentially LARPing for social validation and virtue signaling.
The only churches properly separated from the state are the baptists ones, which is by membership numbers essentially fringe group in Germany (less than 100k members in the WHOLE of Germany). That also means you going to eat lots of miles to actually reach one for worship.

>I guess orthodoxy would be ok but I don't want to roleplay as a slav.
ORTHODOXY IS NOT SLAVIC FFS!
Infact two of the oldest nations that are Orthodox (Greeks and Georgians) arent even slavic.
End this meme, NOW!

It's not a meme. The only orthodox church in my broad region was literally Russian and has been disbanded now, as most of their members returned to Putin after 2015.

I see this all the time. I can't speak for everyone, but generally if your follow the teachings of the new testament you should be fine.

Yes Christianity has been bastardized and twisted by many people to meet their own sense of morality. I look at them and I cringe, but I'm powerless to stop them. I can try to tell them that what they're doing is wrong, and some may be persuaded, but in the end it is God who has final judgment. Just because you profess yourself as Christian does not mean you are guaranteed heaven. Jesus said that he is the way, the truth, and the life. If you live your life like him and follow his teachings then God will judge you accordingly.

In the end, everyone will be judged accordingly.

That's disgusting, user

Hahaha fucking baptists man, of course they're the only ones separated from the state.

And yeah I don't think anyone means bad, I can see why you would think they're larping, but if they genuinely go because of their faith then more power to them.

One thing I think that drives down church numbers is online sermons. If I have to work early on Sunday I will watch the recording of the service my church uploads online. It's not the same, but it's better than nothing.

Literally the only orthodox churches in america are slavic, sorry.
I know there's separate churches for the caucases and ME, but still.

>Literally the only orthodox churches in america are slavic

Antiochian Orthodox and Greek Orthodox Churches of America aren't Slavic.

What is /sig/

your mistake was assuming I had a greek orthodox or antiochian orthodox church near me.

But yes, I am speaking in overgeneralizations, sorry.

>Qt

>Hahaha fucking baptists man, of course they're the only ones separated from the state.
Is something wrong with baptists?

God bless you

Nah, they just have a reputation for being wild in the US.

Can someone explain to me what /sig/ is?

Self-Improvement General. It's a thread that gets posted in Sup Forums about healthy lifestyles, healthy diets, being active, and sometimes religion.

>worshiping a kike and the kike god
Good goy

reminder religion is neither politics or news
you have a board for this shit now, take yourselves off to it

Christianity is political incorrect and there on topic here.

lol

Christians are the most persecuted people of the world.

Yeah good point user. Real original. You can show yourself out now.
