>The west by comparison, broke their car in the 30's, bought a new one in the late 40's, they broke the new car they bought after that one in the 70's, and may have bought yet another by the 90's. Okay now you're discussing something completely different but it's worthwhile to discuss anyway because this is somewhat true. The difference is that the western system HAD to change. The capitalist system is always in flux and that's why it works, the communist system is stagnant and only takes in past figures and not current ones, that's why it failed. In capitalism you are always incorporating new information about demand and supply and adjusting accordingly to it, you also have democracies where people vote in different people who interpret these economic signals in different ways. So yes, the system does change a lot, but is inherit in the capitalist system in order to thrive. Communism's folly is that it sees itself as the end all be all of all material history so it can't react to actually economic demands because it pretends they don't exist, that's why communist nation either fail or convert to market economies like China did.

Ending the "Communism for retarded Central European folk" discussion here. Kid legit had 4-5 people showing him how his Down's is affecting his understanding of the subject. His only reply was "you retarded shitty troll hehe me so smart hehe no counter-argument btw hehe" Won't be participating in this autism shitstorm anymore, you're free to continue to if you like.

More accurately it's a merger of the remaining, with the !Al-Nusra at the centre.

Fun fact: RuMoD didn't buy the rebranding and call them Jabhat al-Nusra in the official statements and documents

Makes sense. All the renaming and rebranding will be very confusing to anyone not actively following the conflict.

>My "vague" statement that you avoided because "gremmer herd" was that a certain aspect of the political system doesn't have to look the way that it actually works for it to be. >Meaning you can have "elections" in a country like Syria to silence international media, make them believe you have a democracy running, while continuing to run a tightly held dictatorship in reality. Yes in the same way China postures itself internationally and domestically to it's own citizens as a communist state yet it follows a market economy. It's funny you make this argument because it's exactly what you fail to understand. China supposedly is communist and believes in the principles of collective ownership yet people have private property and business, there are shareholders and anything that isnt privately owned is state owned and sometimes leased which is in itself capitalistic. They preach a classless state yet they have a larger class divide than most capitalist nations and people can be divided into identifiable income or class levels. So yes, it is very similar to Syria claiming to be democratic when it is not.

>Okay now you're discussing something completely different no i am talking about the subsystems that underpin whatever society. the term 'capitalist' is very broadly used - but they are not the same system, they are philosophically different and they have different effects.
the west went from state capitalist to corporate capitalist all the way through to the financial capitalist system we have today.
financial capitalism, for me, is a system which is closer to feudalism than the original capitalism - the one people like to imply we have today.
but in fact financial capitalism is a fuck up - for instance it holds that the majority of profits should go to the holders of assets rather than to the operators of assets.
i.e. this means bank loans, interest rates etc all collude to prevent the operators from getting value. This drives inflation. What is worse is that it artificially means that the majority of 'value' in economies is not measured by actual production and productivity, but on the notion of future production.
It's not all bad. But it means that actual productivity and production is less well rewarded than being a bank that issued the loan for that factory. If you take out a loan, the loan will be more profitable for the bank, than whatever activity you will undertake as a result of getting the loan.
think about that.
Camden Brown
Well, it can't really be real *ideology* if it's not actually that ideology. Communism has never existed, because it's a retarded ideology and every attempt at it has failed.

I imagine myself in Europe, leading my Platoon. Our mission is to stop wh*Te dogs from advancing. We mow down wh*Te dogs but they keep coming. I shoot wh*Te dogs but I run out of ammo so I draw my sword and begin slaughtering wh*Tes, since wh*Tes are way more psychically inferior to me, I slay them by dozens. Then I get shot, but I didn't fall, I kept fighting. Then shot again and again. wh*Tes were shooting me from a distance like a cowards they are. I lie down, facing up to sky and I see God he smiles at me, I smile back… Then I woke up, in africa, my homeland. My BLACK brethren gave me a warm welcome to heaven. I finally made it, I finally made it into heaven

It's a mixed economy. Syncretic and takes aspects from both, but there is very little communism if any being practiced. I"m not saying it has to be either capitalist or communist, I'm just saying it's just not communist.
I hope you realize that most of it was directed towards you.
Only one person agreed with you and he was a catalonian meme flagger
Since Communism is being discussed here and since it's related to China as well, why doesn't China change their children policy so that families can have as many daughters as they want but can only have 1 son? Seems like it would be a good policy to me in the long run. China would no longer have to worry about it's aging population and Social welfare payments as much and most, if not all, of the men are guaranteed at least one wife in their life.
Xavier Smith
bottom has a pretty russian cutie in the thumbnail so gonna watch that first.

Nah, not that radical, just taxation. I remember some time ago (not sure about now) families in China who had more than one son payed much more taxes.

This drives inflation. What is worse is that it artificially means that the majority of 'value' in economies is not measured by actual production and productivity, but on the notion of future production. This is the best way to drive the economy although I understand why it worries you. For example in yugoslavia they had the workers elect managers of the companies. Instead of investing in the company itself the managers would always just pay out bonuses and raises to the worker. This created unproductive companies and stagnant economy and it didnt prevent inflation either because the state controlled banks had to keep printing money to support the failing businesses. A little inflation is good and in the US it's around what it should be for now, our productivity is also much higher than in Jugoslavia when workers managed the companies.
>This is what the Syrian "China is socialist" guy actually believes

inflation and growth that outstrips the growth of the market is unsustainable and can only lead to a crash. normal healthy growth of the market is 2% - roughly the rate at which normal societies reproduce. it gives a doubling time of 35 years ( i.e. if u invest $1 in year 0, in year 35 it will be worth $2).
growing faster than this means that the 'growth' is fictitious - nothing at all underpins it. it's just a confidence game pyramid waiting for the next crash.
I am surprised how few people are concerned when growth outstrips this rate.

just listen to this. the words mean something they bubble and bounce to the beat
Yes and right now inflation inflation is where it should be at a little under 2 percent in the US. Meanwhile in Yugoslavia(I use it because it's the only country that didnt have shareholders or was state managed) where workers managed companies the inflation was over 100 percent some years.
Hunter Young
sure. but what is important is the interplay between inflation and growth. i guess u could say that real growth is the difference between the two figures.
in an inflationary scenario growth is hidden and or consumed. you can hide a lack of growth for instance behind a high inflationary cycle and you can hide growth behind deflation of the economy.
if u have 100% inflation things are seriously fugged - either someone is manipulating the economy or it has been mistreated for a long time.

Brody Garcia
I'm just giving an example where an alternative was tried and they had less growth and worse inflation than we did. Honestly a variation of it could be tried, where there are independent rather than state owned banks and limits to how much a firms manager can pay out to employees but in practice the system most of the west has now is way more efficient and working fine.
Christopher Gonzalez

Lebanese Army and other security services in the country denied Prime Minister Saad Hariri claims that there have been plans to assassinate him.
In a statement released by its Directorate of Orientation on Sunday, the Lebanese Army said: “Based on investigations, arrests and information there have been no plans to carry out assassination attacks in the country.”
Earlier on Saturday PM Hariri announced his resignation from Saudi Arabia’s capital, Riyadh, citing fears on his life. Just two hours after his announcement, Saudi-owned TV network Al-Arabiyah, reported that the Lebanese security services had foiled an assassination attempt on Hariri.
However, Lebanon’s Internal Security Forces (ISF), denied such claims also on Saturday, saying it “had no information on this”.
