Hi Sup Forums, what do you think of my non-fiction collection?

Hi Sup Forums, what do you think of my non-fiction collection?
Is there anything or a particular author you would recommend?

It’s stupid and I hate it

Why?

He's a dumb nigger.

Well well well
That sure is an ironic accusation

Pretty good comrade. Needs some Jared Diamond though.
If your thread is still up Wen I get hole I’ll share mine.

missing Republic and 1984

1984 isn’t non fiction.

I have a paperback copy of "Veil" I got 20 years ago
>Nica-wah wah :-)

Platos republic? meh
as for 1984, this is non-fiction
And its very easy to look at the Soviets and see it was a dungeon
Much harder to look at ourselves
Orwell wrote something about this in his introduction to Animal Farm, which the publisher did not print ironically

originally it was fiction. but if you look at the state of the UK it has clearly become a non-fiction piece - a plan or a prediction

The synagogue of Satan updated version and E Michael Jones culture wars

I find that whole era fascinating
America staging an entire war in secret against Nicaragua, working with drug cartels to get it done, aiding the friendly dictatorships in the rest of Central America fight brutal counter insurgencies against their populations, proxy war against Angola, Argentina staging a coup in Bolivia with cocaine money and Nazi war criminals providing the muscle, etc

Like, what the fuck?
And people complain today about Russians and emails, get real motherfucker.

Culture of Critique and Gulag Archipelago unless I've missed them from the photo

No rightwing works please
As an Australian you might be interested in the works I have on the Nugan Hand Bank

unimpressive
let's see your fiction collection

>The Culture of Critique series is a controversial trilogy of books by psychology professor Kevin B. MacDonald claiming that evolutionary psychology provides the motivations behind Jewish group behavior and culture, asserting Jewish behavior and culture are central causes of antisemitism and of alleged Jewish control and influence in government policy and political movements.
user, pls.
>Gulag Archipelago
Why would I need a book about Soviet crimes? Should I get one about Mongolian crimes too? Babylonian too? How about a book about how wet water is?

Any Nietzsche, durkheim's elementary forms of religious life, The Golden Bough, Robert price's Pre nicene new testement, Some sort of summary or commentary on Kant because hes sort of boring to read. Jung

Karl Popper
Thomas Kuhn
Plato
Descartes

Start with the fucking greeks, learn why You're dumb, de-dumb yourself.
Phase three takes a while, It's been 15 years and I'm still at it.

Look at all that fucking dust

Read some books on austrian economics, learn about blockchain technology/cryptocurrency, get rid of the "communist" part of your anarchism, and you'll be a more reasonable person.

I recommend reading:
Individualism and Economic Order by
Friedrich Hayek

And watch some documentaries about bitcoin/blockchain technology.

Good luck user, and may god save you from your retarded ideology.

>start with the the greeks
there are three greek works there + robert graves greek myths

>Read some books on austrian economics
About its failure?
>become a lolbertarian
no
>Hayek
kek
>bitcoin bitcoin bitcoin
autism

...

Read data and goliath.
Redpill yourself on privacy and surveillance.

I like Kingdom of Fear.

t. edgelord

>redpill yourself on privacy and surveillance
theres a lot in The Assassination Complex about what they've been doing with drones in the USA and tracking mobiles and accessing their data
The Intercept has written more about this too

Hope this is bait. Show this to /lit/ they'll hate it even more.
>shitty penguin paper backs of Ancient Greek texts
Should've got Oxford desu.
>literally that entire bottom shelf
Burn it all.

>Is there anything or a particular author you would recommend?
What are you actually into?

mein kampf

>No rightwing works please
Let me guess you have a mirrored version of Sup Forumss attitude? Everything I don't like is a shill/leftist, Everything I don't like is Hitler.

>not liking Penguin Classics
why?
>Burn the entire bottom shelf
Why?

ur mums hitler

>Because they tend to have bad translations and poor quality paperbacks.
>Pleb garbage.

Whats wrong with Fagles?
>inb4 FAG-les

"Leviathan and its enemies."

Have fun being broke sad and wrong

>broke
dont most americans have little or nothing saved?
>sad
well so much of the alt right is powered by a misplaced sense of injustice that they aren't getting ahead
>and wrong
35+ years of neoliberal economic reform deregulating industry and the economy and rolling back social services and cutting taxes on the wealthy sure have been a proven success amirite?

Half of that shit looks like cheap ass no name author books, Ancient Greeks ain't that bad. Why do you waste your time on gay Political bullshit rather than classical literature?

>alt right
You fell for that? It's a term popularised by Hildawg.

what do you mean by "cheap ass no name author books"?
>Why do you waste your time on gay Political bullshit
its interesting and relevant
did I trigger you?

No I don't have ptsd.

Hoppe.

the bible

I buy charity books too

Hoppe's A Theory of Socialism and Capitalism.

non-fiction pls
I do get quite a few second hand, only way to find old out of print books
cheaper too

What does it matter what Sup Forumsacks are called as a collective? We might just as well be called alt-right.

Fuck off spammer cunt.

The Myth of the Twentieth Century
Revolt Against the Modern World
The Prince
Thus Spake Zarathustra
Gulag Archipelago

There is no collective here and the concept of alt-right is sketchy at best shill bullshit at worst.

>Dont most americans have little or nothing saved?

Im literally rich and never have to work another day of my life because I took the time to learn about and invest in cryptocurrency in its early years (but according to you that is autistic and should be ignored)

>well so much of the alt right is powered by a misplaced sense of injustice that they aren't getting ahead

The alt right is a meme. I could care less about it.

>35+ years of neoliberal economic reform deregulating industry and the economy and rolling back social services and cutting taxes on the wealthy sure have been a proven success amirite?

>assuming the federal reserve, working in tandem with the government to ensure profits to multinational banks and corporations is in any way capitalism.

wew lad

>all this dust
clean up your fucking shelf
REEEEEEEEEEEE

>There is no collective
Of course there is. Otherwise people wouldn't say "go back to Sup Forums". Otherwise there wouldn't be clearly distinguishable thought patterns here, like hatred for redistribution of wealth, love for beauty and innocence, constant self improvement, pursuit of knowledge etc. etc.
>shill bullshit at worst.
I don't see how a label could be that. Unless it were derogatory, but it's not.

Atlas shrugged.

>I inherited my wealth whats wrong with the rest of you plebs
>I could care less about the memes I parrot
okay
>wew lad what we need for it to work is EVEN more deregulation and tax cuts for the rich because when it doesn't happen the first, second, third, forth, or fifth time, the sixth is bound to work
wew lad indeed

>Mein Kampf - Hitler
>Protocols Of The Elders of Zion - user
>Annals and Histories of Rome - Tacitus
>12 Caesars - Suetonius
>History of the Jews - Josephus
>The Jewish War - Josephus
>The History of the Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire - Gibbon

Gibbon use of the ancient sources in his multivolume set makes for a cohesive read - i've listed a couple of his sources above that are easily digestable. Julius Caesar wrote a couple of books regarding his conquest of france and the civil war but they are very dry and make for a difficult read

busy sorry
non-fiction

>>I inherited my wealth whats wrong with the rest of you plebs
You also inherited your genes. You redistribute my wealth, I'll redistribute your body parts.

>meme kampf
lolno
>protocols
I said non-fiction, not hoaxes
>classical greek/roman
maybe
>moar ebil jews
this is called transference, it provides an easy enemy to blame so you don't have to think critically about your own society - instead its just being subverted from within by outside forces and if it weren't for that everything would be hunky dory

campaigns of alexander, the prince, sun tzu, metaphysics of war, conquest of gaul

...

>comes to Sup Forums for reading suggestions
>only accepts Greek and Roman texts
Why did you come here?

Great argument. 8/8

This is shit, it's like you went to half-price books and bought as many books as you could off the clearance rack for the express purpose of looking smart for internet points.
Pathetic.

Howard Zinn

I'm not accepting obviously meme or biased works

>biased works
Might as well stop reading altogether then.

>inherit wealth
>its mine you cant tax it
>make huge profits off of the government investing taxpayers dollars into hightech R&D and funding the research the market wont and providing a market for the technology until it becomes profitable
>this is my money I worked hard for and you cant take it
pretty sure the bulk of this shit would not appear such a discount store

You mean only books that aren't biased towards your own politics. Please, do read the Greeks and realize why you're retarded.

Well no because what is required is reliable sources and lucid analysis and interpretation

So when Alfred W. McCoy or Peter Dale Scott or Bob Parry go through the record of American government and intelligence involvement in narcotrafficking, you have something reliable

When Cletus explains the reason why he isn't a winner is because of the 2000 year old conspiracy of the Jewish Overlords
Thats not reliable

>>inherit intelligence
>>its mine you cant tax it
>>make huge profits off of the government inventing hightech and researching technology
>>this is my money I worked hard for and you cant take it
You commies are such a disappointment, honestly. You simply can't argue.

I saved my money while I was in the navy and invested it. My mom is unemployed and my dad has been working the same factory job for 30 years. I bought them a house 3 years ago.

Capitalism allows for communism. Communism doesn't allow for capitalism.
If communism is what you really want, you should be rooting for capitalism.

(((((((((((((((((((((((((((((Diamond)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

fuck off sputnik shill

Perhaps not the top three books (not that they're any good, but I know that publisher and their prices) but those aside, these are exactly the kind of books that end up not just in the discount store, but on the clearance rack of that discount store.

Do you read nothing but pre-digested opinions and sensational punditry? Shit nigger, get Euclid's The Elements and some Herodotus, some good tomes of world history, anatomy, physics, Knuth's Art of Programming. Get some Kant, Russell, Plato,Aristotle. Your library is like the cheetos and pepsi of education.

You are using a computer, spun off from the technology developed for military ICBM trajectory plotting mainframes and ICBM guidence computers and the Apollo space program
Its diodes were invented by Bell when it had a government monopoly
The automated manufacturing of its circuit boards was invented by the Pentagons MANTECH program
Your computer is connected to the internet, this was developed from the Pentagons DARPAnet program
The satellites used to relay our communication were developed by the military
The rockets that launched them into space started life as ICBMs
Are you using a tablet device? The LCD screen was developed by the British MoD, the touch screen by the French government funded CERN, and the WiFi by the Australian government funded CSIRO
The containerised shipping that brought all these parts together was developed by the Pentagon in the Korean War
The GPS tracking that keeps your new orders location up to date, that was developed for the Navys nuclear submarines

Much of this you will notice has been done as a result of military expenditure
Much of the military budget exists as a way of transfering public wealth into private hands
Its hightech R&D spending provides a cushion for technological developments that the free market is incapable of because of its focus on short term return

Sputnik?

>pre-digested opinion
what does this mean
>sensational punditry
Would you care to deny the content of The Politics of Heroin?
>and some Herodotus
Ah I get it, trollin'. Well meme'd good sir.

I'm not an anarchocapitalist. I realize that there will always be a state, and the state will always need to take care of the military. That is one of the only functions that can't be privatized.

Well done for not answering my first argument, though. Second message in a row. Anyway, I have better things to do than to enlighten brainlets. No point in casting pearls before swines, as they say.

>non fiction
>greek mythology
Kek

The book of five rings
The art of war
Jackie stewarts principles of performance driving

>>moar ebil jews
>this is called transference, it provides an easy enemy to blame so you don't have to think critically about your own society - instead its just being subverted from within by outside forces and if it weren't for that everything would be hunky dory

what the serious fuck are you going on about? are you some bluehaired septum pierced faggot that journeyed out of his safe space? these are books that were written by a judean general that participated in/observed the hostilities from beginning to end. holy fucking christ dude - get a fucking grip and actually read some books.

Where did you hide your porn collection?

bumping this thread because i want faggot OP to answer this question

>shelf for books
>not AAA ps4 exclusives

You dun fukd up son

where's your kropotkin and stirner and possibly even rothbard if you also want to sound clever on economics? you gotta read some more classics my dude, will make for better shit-posting fights.

>no Lauren Southern
Loomershills please leave

Actually OP on second thought, I've read your posts ITT and they're all dismissive and arrogant, so I'm left to conclude that you don't want to learn anything but only reaffirm and defend your anarchy edge. Such and such are evil, such and such are good, such and such are irrelevant. You should probably stick to sucking the dicks of your leftist overlords instead of pretending to read. Why the fuck are you even here? Shouldn't you call us all retarded for being "right-wing"?

>No Nietzsche
>No Stoic Philosophers
>No foreign language philosophy

Pleb.

Where is Mein Kampf?

The Ascent of Money - Niall Ferguson
Money: An Unauthorized Biography - Felix Martin
Albion's Seed - D.H. Fischer
Antifragile - N.N. Taleb
Shopcraft as Soulcraft - Matthew Crawford

Yeah OP you need to get:

Meditations - Marcus Aurelius (obv pleb choice in terms of Stoicism but still awesome)
Handbook - Epictetus

A History of the Arab Peoples - Albert Hourani
A History of Islamic Societies - Ira Lepidus
Descent Into Chaos - Ahmed Rashid
The Blank Slate - Steven Pinker
The Better Angels of Our Nature - Steven Pinker
The 10,000 Year Explosion - Greg Cochran

History of the World in Twelve Maps - Jerry Brotton
Beauty, very short introduction - Roger Scruton
Engineering, very short inrtoduction -David Blockley
Fourier Transforms and their Applications 2nd editioin - Prof Pajeet and Dr Pajeet
Naval Warfare: An Illustrated History - Richard Humble
SAS Survival Guide

Good.

>And people complain today about Russians and emails, get real motherfucker.
Indeed. The reaction to this sort of thing beggars belief, that's for sure.

Can't go wrong with a bit of Scruton. Pretty sure I've got a copy of SAS Survival Guide on my shelves from when I was young and about to join Army as well!
>Fourier Transforms and their Applications 2nd editioin - Prof Pajeet and Dr Pajeet
The authors made me kek - I've been spending way too much time on /biz/.

Integral transforms and their applications rather. I've read a lot of Niall Ferguson, including The Ascent of Money and Empire. Took out his The Square and the Tower: Networks, Hierarchies and the Struggle for Global Power from the library but only managed 20% of it, intense vast collection of data, data and more data.

Can't be bothered typing everything out, so I'll put up some snapshots of my shelves and maybe you'll spot something you like look of.
