Hey there lads.

>tfw my redpilled friend his dissapeared off the face of the earth after going to university

So what are the paid protestors whinging about this time?

So what are you all waiting for lads?

Anything interesting coming up?

>university
>redpilled friend
He might just no longer be talking to you after bluepilling.

Anyhow iktf, one of my good friends isn't replying to anything either. Maybe the autism finally pushed them away.

Exchange Elizabeth II and May for Merkel and that kraut lesbian politico. Good trade for the bongs.

>Anything interesting coming up?
The collapse of civilisation followed by the creation of something new.

Probably not so redpilled anymore.

Death.

Just plowing through university, trying to make something of my life desu. Not particularly happy at the moment but giving it a chance

Think I'm just gonna do the classic replacing of depression with exhaustion when I hit work

can you homos still read Redwatch/Nocewatch or did the jews at Searchlies take it down there?

Who even gives a shit about a few karp? It's retarded how the tiniest thing Trump does gets so much attention.

>Muh 2 scoops

Do you do any extra curricular stuff?
I'm worried that I'm final year and didn't do any

What is the event in pic?

This Numale on DP right now needs to die, or at least dragged to sleep rough
Also why aren't they talking about the Paradise leaks?

This is why I fear another general election. In the event that neither Labour or the Conservatives gain an overall majority, all the lefties will pile on Labour to forge some monstrosity.

The damage done by New Labour over the span of 13 years will pale in comparison to a government headed by Jeremy Corbyn, Nicola Sturgeon and others. Literally my worst nightmare.

they still update redwatch poland it seems:

redwatch.info/

I strongly encourage you all to look deeply into the changes proposed (and largely passed) by successive blairite governments in the areas of welfare and family law.
Some of you reading this may consider New Labour as a centrist movement, but don't let the liberal economics fool you (though they were similarly a disaster, but that discussion is for another thread), under the surface a radical social agenda is made plain.

I'm not convinced however that this agenda was planned in advance, I suspect it simply fell into place as certain apparatchiks of the Labour Party machine pressed their pet policies, but it's effects are the same regardless.

What internships and shit? Don't have the time nor the money. Every break I have to go home to save cash. I'm also final year and barely had a chance to enter a competition because the workload is intense

But you know what, if I don't get a job I'll just go home and go on the dole. I made a good fucking attempt, worked my butt off and am aiming for a first and an excellent portfolio so if they don't want me then I'm out

I've gone through enough shit for this worthless society I don't care for anyway

I wish he would get a state visit just for all the glorious lefty tears it would cause

Honestly they would be better than New Labour in my mind.
The same radical social changes sure, but we'll at least get the nationalisation of good, British institutions and services.

WHERE DA WHITE WOMEN CABINET MEMBAS AT

New Labour are a neo-marxist movement dedicated first and foremost to that cause and don't hold the UK in particularly high regard. Reminder that the security services had purged all documents relating to Labour politicians activity with Communists some time around when Blair came to power. I suspect that it is less of a taboo thing to be part of now that the cold war has long since been over and people forget what it was like for those living behind the iron curtain.

...

In what way is new labour Marxist?

...

>Reminder that the security services had purged all documents relating to Labour politicians activity with Communists some time around when Blair came to power.

I actually wasn't aware of this, interesting.

>I suspect that it is less of a taboo thing to be part of now that the cold war has long since been over and people forget what it was like for those living behind the iron curtain.

You're not wrong, unfortunately this has made it particularly attractive to young.
Rampant globalisation, mostly driven by elitist neo-liberal faux capitalist drivel (Europe is the exception to this trend, with the EU being a socialist conglomerate) hasn't helped either - if you're a youth desperately worried about being able to get a job, a strong socialist government guaranteeing you a job or other income suddenly seems worth any inconveniences to liberty or national wellbeing.

They eat da poo poo

Work's going ok, got the last VAT return out the way with no bother, only for the auditors to ring up and ask how I'm doing for the company's year end. Bugger.

I was going to do a few shoeboxes this year to help my mum, but this lot are a right bunch of non-Christian twats so I'm finding a less evangelical or secular group, or really reading into it maybe just make a donation somewhere because shoeboxes are inefficient as fuck.

The owner got jailed for 6 years for that website.

im aiming for a 2:1 and barely put any work into the first two years outside of assessment periods
So I ended up with a high 2:2 borderline 2:1

I've been consistently working hard this year however
But I'm worried it'll be harder to get a job as I haven't been involved with any societies or volunteering

I'm applying to as many graduate schemes as I can right now
Hopefully one of them will take me on

>America apparently had no problem letting a former ISIS member settle

WHY does Peter always bring up cannabis specifically in his tv panel drug debates? He must know it would diminish his argument in the eyes of most people, even if he is right. If only he would replace it in his examples with heroin.

They don't believe in borders.
Egalitarian to the point of ignore people's actual difference.
Running deep throughout New Labour's core beliefs is the idea that if someone is rich and successful it is at the expense of others.
Many Labour MPs have been literal self declared communists in their past, even under new new labour McDonnel held up Mao's book in Parliament.
That's a very basic outline of why but I'm a bit busy right now.

Does 2:1 and 2:2 correlate with a certain percentage? Never been able to figure out your Brit grading system.

We can't afford the nationalised services we have at the moment the NHS and education sector are a complete fucking mess

Blairism is just Gramscian Eurocommunism.

>mfw a Britcuck got indoctrinated to hate a Polish shopkeep and not the elite tax dodgers

I socialise with people but I don't think joining any of the societies means anything, I try to go to the open lectures /job things but I often make a fool of myself (extrovert)

It's basically grades, A is 1st, B is 2:1, C is 2:2

First is 70+
2:1 is 60 - 70
2:2 is 50 - 60
Third is 40 - 50

>But I'm worried it'll be harder to get a job as I haven't been involved with any societies or volunteering

Societies are useless. Volunteering helps if you don't already have a part time job or something as it shows you can handle the basics of employment.
Networking is a bit of a meme truth be told, the only way you'll ever land a job just from knowing someone is if they're literally your best mate or a relative - that dude you met 1 year ago at a networking event at university isn't going to help you out.

The best thing you could do to boost your chance of employment would be to try something entrepreneurial, especially if its charity based. Employers love to see that you can be self directed and won't need babysitting.

It was around 40-60% for a 2:2 and 60%-70% for a 2:1 and anything higher was a first when I was at uni a few years back. Those are rough numbers though I think it can change depending on the uni and course. Also some course don't take into account anything but the last year.

He's right about cannabis, it's one of the most commonly used illegal drugs and I don't think I can recall one time when he has been apologetic about his beliefs. If he didn't mention cannabis to focus on harder drugs, I think he would feel like he would be acknowledging that it was less harmful.

Blairist "New Labour" is different from the New corbyns labour

70%+ is all you need for the highest tier in the UK? To get the absolute highest ranking (in GPA) here you need to get 80% plus in every unit you ever took throughout your degree.

>The best thing you could do to boost your chance of employment would be to try something entrepreneurial
This. Even if it's just investing in some safe bonds. The average normie isn't going to be doing that type of stuff, it really makes you stand out.

How much work do you actually have to put in for the first year of university? I never went to university when I was that age but I hear that you can pretty much do feck all in the first year and it only requires work and focus in the second two years.

youtube.com/watch?v=9hjH-DUaACM

hitchensblog.mailonsunday.co.uk/2015/03/why-the-blair-creature-wasnt-my-hero-etc.html

I completely forgot about a third even being a thing.
Yeah uni here is just a reason to drink and get laid for 4 years before you go into work life at least that's what it was for me didn't even have to study to get a 2:1 but then it was an IT degree do it was easy

Yes but even though it's a percentage it's not really a normal grading percentage. You can make an excellent piece of work and still only be confined to the 70s - to get 80 or above is incredibly rare.

Don't ask me why, I've no idea, but a first in UK universities (70+) will be pretty much equivalent to whatever the top band is under any other system rather than the percentage.

Depends on the course, I pissed around loads first year and went out at least 3 times a week if not 4. My brother on the other hand is doing Chemistry with a load of maths modules at a university higher in the league tables than mine and is pretty hard pressed.

Im starting to think youre nothing but a BBC and DM shill.

>EVERY FUCKING LINK YOU POST IS DM / BBC

>tfw trying to reduce your online footprint of old accounts and stuff

Probably in vain as Facebook probably knows more than all the Warhammer and atheism forums from ten years ago added together.

Interesting, I'd be heading for an equivalent of one of your 2:1's at the moment. I fucked around in my first year but here that carries along.
Thankfully it shouldn't really matter as I'll be doing an extra postgrad year which comes with its own GPA. If I nail that my undergrad GPA will be pretty irrelevant when I head out for a job.

With Pubic lice gone looks like I'm the new daddy in town...

Technically you only have to work hard in the years that contribute to your final grade. But the thing is they start second year on the basis that you understand the material from first year, so if you fuck around in first year and do the bare minimum to pass you're going to find it much tougher going forwards because you won't have a grasp of the fundamentals.

You COULD do nothing in first year, work very hard in second year, work extremely hard in fourth year

OR

You could work reasonably hard in first year, work reasonably hard in second year, work quite hard in third year

>atheism forums

It's too painful to see the embarrassing and cringeworthy shit I said years ago on various forums.

Too late to stop now.

Lads is Hendrix's music degenerate? I know the culture surrounding him (60's counter culture) is but is the music itself? He's my favourite artist by far.

Man your tiers are weird.
Tiers here are:
Pass: 50% to 67%
Laude: 68-77%
Magna Laude: 77-85%
Summa laude: >85%

I have two masters, one with laude and the other summa laude and both are First in Brit-tier. Weird. But good to know for job applications.

Oh and anything above pass means you basically put in some work. We only have a 30%-50% success rate for first years at most. Summa is very rare and something usually for Asians.

fuck off virgin

I fucked up big time in first and second year think I got a 2:2 in both. I just put no time or effort into my work and instead spent all my time going out or smoking weed round my gf's. I put a load more effort into my third year though as I didn't want the shame of coming out with a 2:2. Quit smoking until all my assignments were done and spent a lot of long nights in the library, managed to get Firsts on a few modules and in the end came out with a 2:1 so I was happy all in all.

Starting my first full time job in 2 weeks as well.

Seriously though I'm considering joining the Australian Labor Party and getting into its social conservative faction.
The Liberal party (Our 'conservatives') are Blairites, the Green Party are radical socialists, and One Nation (our far right party) are legitimately retarded with an absolute dolt of a leader.

If in 20-30 years Australia gets a proto-fascist Labor PM it might just be me.

You're on the right track, but it goes further than that.
The Conservative party was also infiltrated by communists as well, however they took on the persona of "Neoconservatives", like Thatcher and others.
They were Troskyite jews who used Saul Alinsky tactics to seep their every being into all corners of western civilization.

>Where did the myth that they were some racially pure, ultra masculine and straight proto-nazi society come from?

It didn't, never heard the vikings described that way before.

Yeah 80 and above means it's publishable
Or something
That's what we get told anyway

On hard science/ math type subjects I think it's easier to get above 80 though
As it is graded differently
And tests are often a percentage

On my course you can't get above 80 on most tests for some reason
But you could potentially on an essay
Just a weird system I suppose

youtube.com/watch?v=xkXR8PH2yC0

I'm only half joking, I was a member of the British Humanists as an edgy teen.

Yeah, going through my early facebook posts was bad. Even worse, they were all Public since privacy settings weren't a thing at the time, so anyone searching for me probably saw a load of "ugh soooo hungover XD" posts and then radio silence 2010 onwards.

There's a quick option of privatising all your old posts now though.

Yeah I know that feel, my tripname that I don't really use now is also my music name, unfortunately I can't think of a better one.

Nice mate
That's the same situation I'm in
Just shitting myself hoping I can get a 2:1

What job?

Also, Theresa May is a bad pm lads

alright dave

Academic that has to deal with setting these bloody exams here. Note that the structure of the exams is very very different to those in Europe.

Firstly, almost all universities recurve. Consequently we shift the normal distribution to reduce 1st class degrees. Exams are very rarely recurved up, only down.

Secondly, exams are short, closed book, and typically designed to be uncompletable within the time available. So, in mathematics for example, you are likely to have a 2 or 3 hour exam at the end of a semester, which could very well be 100% of the module grade, perhaps 80-90% if the module has coursework.

A 2:1 student isn't likely to even finish the paper, 1st class students tend to get most of the way through it, and the rest is a matter of how much they got right.

There's also a non-linearity to the score, papers are supposed to get exponentially difficult, in part as there's a philosophy of not failing the worst performing students (instead they get a third class, or even an ungraded pass). So the first 40% of a paper are typically definition oriented questions, the sort of thing that would be trivial if you had a book open, and is just an exercise in memory. 40-60% is a matter of completing rote questions, so long as you understand the structure of the problem it is doable, the complexity is increasing, and the degree of information that guides you to a method decreases for the higher mark questions. Above that you typically have questions that you have the general tools to understand, but presents unseen material; split such that the simple parts can take you through the 2:1 grade 60-70%, and the complex elements take you up past the 1st.

To put this into context, for a while I worked in Denmark, and set exams there, and indeed the higher grades required substantially higher %, but I wouldn't say that the exams were harder. The format and type of question was very different, and the availability of marks was more linear.

It's completely possible, I just stopped fucking about and actually put some effort in 3rd year. You can have it graded on that year alone if it works out better.

Got a job as a Collections Assistant in a museum up north, always wanted to work in a museum so this will be a good start to hopefully a long career in the heritage sector. Pays shit but I enjoy it so that's something at least.

Mate, the grade isn't that important. I hire CS graduates a lot and dont care. I dont put my grade on my own CV and have never been asked for it (or even proof I actually have a degree)

Stop calling pakis and arabs "Asian".

Which university allows you to select years you're graded on?

Sounds like a really cosy job. I study Physics so the chances of getting a job in my field are near 0.
If I can't find anything else I might like (such as working as an intelligence officer in the military or a security agency) i'm going to go back to uni and get a masters in education so I can become Year 11-12 science teacher. They're in very high demand down here so the pay and benefits are pretty good, plus I'd be guaranteed to find employment.

I agree that enjoying your work is more important than money, especially up north where it's cheap
It's a good opportunity to prove yourself as well, so I wish you the best

A lot of the grad schemes I'm looking at specify 2:1s though
Maybe I should just drop out, do some code academy and pretend I have a 2:1 in CS

They are to us. We don't really have my other kind of asian so we dont need to distinguish

Yes don't be doing no nuaghty right wing stuff
Fuck this place

In the UK you can get massive bursaries for teaching STEM
They are in very high demand here
I would hate to do it though
Seems like a horrible job

I would be afraid to work for the government though, in case my politics would ruin me
I think they are under a lot more scrutiny

Didn't let you select it, I imagine it's the same for all university's but in my case all my grades from 2nd and 3rd were reviewed in different ways such as mean, mediun and shit like that. In my case the highest they came out with was basically only due to my 3rd year grades so I was only graded on that.

I'm sure I've done an awful job of explaining that as I didn't really understand it myself at the time. But basically I was only graded on my third year.

Typical subhuman grekoniggers
