New York State Elections and Constitutional Convention

Hey, fellow NY anons. How are you guys voting on the NYS Constitutional Convention? I'm for it, since there's near zero chance Albany will ever reform anything on it's own.

Down here in the City, there's a LOT of money being pumped into advertising against the convention, and almost none into promoting it. The liberal politicians here seem convinced it's going to be dominated by upstate Republicans. Is the same thing true where you are?

Also, if you don't want your tax dollars paying pensions for politicians convicted of corruption, vote YES on Prop 2.

Also, be aware of Prop 3:

This one doesn't affect me down here in the City. What do upstate Anons think of it?

Western suffolk here
Voting Yes no reason not to we could vote no on the actual proposals

I've had some problems with this. I work for the city and everyone is saying Vote No. they're gonna take away our pensions. But these are the same union dildoes that did a slowdown during the hurricane relief efforts just to make the president look bad. Is it possible for them to take my pension? I don't want to work for 30 years and get fucked out of a decent retirement

Nothing will affect your pension

Manhattan here voting YES, how many of these clowns in Albany getting arrested will it take for people to realize you DON'T do what big union money (which owns Albany anyway) wants. They're scared of the only means in this state for the people to bypass the Albany swamp. Every individual issue gets voted on, no reason not to vote yes. Sadly people at my college are voting no since the union professors have all been told to shove "no" down our throats. Big labor (mafia) has been pulling the strings here for decades and not even these hip new transplants seem to be against that.

I personally hope this leads to legal weed, term limits on Albany and ballot initiative so things like weed that Albany straightup refuses to act on won't be an issue ever again.

bingo

nysaflcio.org/noconcon/

This is precisely the problem. The union doesn't care about you only keeping their cronies in power. Nothing will happen to your pension, even if it were to come up and an amendment changing pensions put up to vote, each and every issue to be changed goes up for an individual vote. So inevitably some of the amendments will pass, some won't.

I don't care how bad it looks everyone here in the City needs to vote against DeBlasio, if for no other reason than our shitty subway system. Him and Cuomo are more interested in turning the city into a sanctuary city than they are about getting the trains running on time, both need to be thrown on their ass.

Also if the city unions are against the Constitutional Convention, than that's reason enough for me to vote for it

That paper screams bullshit propaganda to me. Us vs Them and all that shit. I don't exactly have faith in the people who are gonna rewrite the constitution. But I also don't have much faith in the people that run the unions. Don't know what to do.

Would NY anons suggest moving back to Long island? Haven't been there since the 90s and soon have to move from where I am now.

New York is new york. Nothing will change. The socialists rule here even though the majority of the state is at the very least cuckservative, The nigger and spic welfare dependents in NYC overpower us in every political action. New York and California are hopeless and beyone redemption.

don't take the black pill, New York, yes even the city for all its shit, is still worth fighting for

It says 50 reasons, but that link only gives 3 reasons.

>each and every issue to be changed goes up for an individual vote

As I understand it, it's up to the delegates to decide how the amendments are presented to the voters. The whole thing could be presented as a single bill with a single up and down vote.

It's nice out there, but the taxes are even worse than in NYC, and the laws almost as repressive.

Voting against. All a CC in this shit hole state will do is consolidate more power in NYC and Albany. The numbers are way to skewed in favor of the city for any other part of the state to benefit.

>Down here in the City, there's a LOT of money being pumped into advertising against the convention, and almost none into promoting it. The liberal politicians here seem convinced it's going to be dominated by upstate Republicans. Is the same thing true where you are?

Holy Hell. Rural and suburban retard (outside syracuse) here. My man, everyone here is against it, everyone has signs in their yard, but for the opposite reason. They all think NYC liberals are going to run the show.

Sounds like everyone is going to get what they want at the end of the day tomorrow.

The state is all but dead. Schenectady, Rotterdam, etc. Are cesspools and have been since industry moved out. IMO it ought to be bulldozed and rebuilt.

how much representation can there be from the city when compared with all those red counties?

Delegates are apportioned by State Senate districts, and the Senate is gerrymandered in favor of upstate and the Republicans.

All the Democratic party operatives here are against it because they're positive that the Republicans will dominate it. Every machine candidate has spoken against it, and they're the people most likely to get elected to the Convention if it passes.

Those red counties are largely rural and have very low populations. I grew up in Cattaraugus county the square one south of Erie county where Buffalo is I know. The niggers and spics in cities like Buffalo overhwlemingly vote democrat across the board and what whites are there are yuppie liberals anyway. It works much the same as how 2016 worked out Trump won almost every state but NY and CA have so much more population that it almost didn't matter. Same goes for the rest of NY when Buffalo, Syracuse, Rochester, Albany and of course NYC are against you.

The party does not matter. In general Policies in NY hang to the left like a old limp dick regardless.

rochester reporting in, all i see is signs going against it, but im sure you know (((((WHY)))) that is. they can't afford to split NY cuz it is what makes jews powerful in the house.

Don't you mean the Senate? The House goes by population and area, people will vote the same if they're in NY or a state with a different name.

Buffalo and Rochester are the same They are quickly becoming mirrors of NYC. There is some tepid economic growth that is blown out of proportion here in buffalo by the Democrats. However this is all fueled by tax break scams and high and jobs that require masters degrees or more. It will mean more tax money for the politicians, but will do next to nothing for the city's economic woes.

Indeed.

remember to vote for Nicole Malliotakis tomorrow, we need to get rid of de Blasio

NYC will vote blue no matter who is up, she has no chance against an incumbent.

yeah but the incumbent is de Blasio, no one likes him, we can use their apathy to win

Tell that to Guilliani and Bloomberg.
How quickly people forget that NYC had 25 straight years of Republican mayors.

Unfortunately, the Republican party isn't funding Malliotakis enough. If she had real money, she'd win this easily.

Albany like him. NYC will stay blue until we get a new governor and NYC doesn't get as much of a free ride.

how come they aren't? This is their election to win

Cuomo and DeBlasio don't get along at all.

I wish I knew. It would be a huge feather in their cap if they could take NYC again, and DeBlasio is weak.

On a local level, tho, part of it is that another Republican candidate in the primaries, Paul Massey, sucked up millions of dollars in campaign donations from his rich buddies that could have gone to Malliotakis, only to drop out halfway though.
And the week before he dropped out, the rumor was that Malliotakis would drop out, because her campaign was flat broke.
I guess Massey's real estate buddies were only donating because they thought they'd get access if he won, not because of any party loyalty or dislike of DeBlasio. (who's a real estate whore himself.)

>greeksarewhite.jpg

teacher here.
voting a hard no. sorry.

Bad political game theory check.

I always need to be reminded now and again Republicans suck just as much as Democrats; still, anyone is better than de Blasio, fuck I'd vote for Hilary against him

NY teachers are a disgrace

looks like a sand nigger to me.

I’m also Rochester and have seen nothing but no ads. Makes me think....also, fuck West siders.

please elaborate
also, blow me

She's Greek, so close.

Why? The unions are the exact sort of special interest that people fear would dominate a Convention.

Clinton was surprisingly good at constituent services as a Senator, she might make a decent mayor.

I am afraid she'll run for mayor in 4 years, crowding out actual local politicians.
On the other hand, none of them manned up enough to primary DeBlasio this year, they deserve to lose their chance in 4 years.

Southern tier here. The mercedes Marxists are against the cc therefore I'm voting for it. I do miss Saratoga and hope to get to track season next year.

I know a lot of NYC teachers. I honestly feel bad for them. They're completely powerless to stop the kids from going apeshit and half the time can't teach cuz the class is disrupted. They get hit and cursed at. And the parents are garbage people who don't care and just use the school as daycare for 8+ hours a day. My kid is in private school for these reasons. It hurts my pockets even more cuz it's NYC but you have to.

NYC here. Will not go to vote. Both candidates suck, voting is useless, because they cheat with mail in votes. I haven't voted in ages here. Will probably move to a sane state where my vote counts eventually. If it wasn't for the wife I wouldn't even be here.

than leave you black pilled fuck

what, you don't like the vote scanning machines that don't give you any receipt of your vote so results can't be challenged?

Pennsylvania here.

Blese secede from Jew York City so we can be bros with upstate

newamsterdamny.org/

I truly believe they would have been better off not running all the anti-convention propaganda. I know more people that wouldn't have even heard about it if it wasn't for that.
Can we just make the city (probably Nassau too) it's own fucking state or something. Why can't we make it a district like DC. Then let upstate and Suffolk be a state together, like Michigan and the upper pinsula.

My dad signed up for this election monitoring. He claims you can't cheat on the actual vote, but suspects they cheat on mail in votes. The numbers tell me they cheat, so I would assume I vote every election by mail. I don't believe people will actually vote for DiBlasio, because he is so terrible, every dem I know hates him. If you drive you hate him. Watch him win in a landslide.

The school system here is the epitome of communist clusterfuck. Only thing you fucks have is your not peddling faggotry to preschoolers yet like California.

If only it were possible my friend.

Long Islander here, Niggers and Spics are taking over Nassau and Suffolk too.

Can confirm. The entire 4th grade in humanities is niggers in NYC. I think my daughter is full on racist after that and visits to a mosque. I'm not telling her shit, but she didn't like the subject matter.

Long Islander here, School district taxes are raping Nassau and Suffolk. Most of it goes to the Superintendent and the Teachers.

Checked with sadness.

If you guys can get a convention going it might be a possibility though

Albany/Schoharie reporting in.

upstate is best state.

Makes sense. A dem I know that is going to run for state senate is pushing all-week voting as one of his main points. That would allow them to change as many votes as they need with the luxury of extra time and plausibility of many more mail in votes.

Upstate sucks, there's nothing for miles between the Tapan Zee and Albany.

oneida county here
get me the fuck out of this fucking state. christ

maybe nothing for you, nigger. plenty for the white man.

You want urban sprawl? go swim in the sea of niggers then.I prefer cleaner surroundings.

Amazing that at a time when the city is boasting about plummeting crime rates, Long Island is being inundated with section 8 voucher waving niggers.

>because they cheat with mail in votes.
>He claims you can't cheat on the actual vote, but suspects they cheat on mail in votes. The numbers tell me they cheat,

Explain.
And remember that politicians watch voter demographics to know which groups to pander to, so your vote does count even if your guy doesn't win.

> I don't believe people will actually vote for DiBlasio, because he is so terrible, every dem I know hates him. If you drive you hate him. Watch him win in a landslide.

The polls say DiBlasio is winning, but literally no one I know is voting for him, and that includes Democratic party operatives.
He's lucky most people walk to their poll sites, cause anyone who drives that day will remember why we hate DiBlasio.

NYS was forced to abandon lever machines thanks to the BS "Help America Vote act". But we have scanning machines that save the ballots; a recount is very possible.

Funny you say that; Universal Pre-K is one of the few things DiBlasio did that I like.

Even less between Albany and the Canadian border.

Nassau is too retarded to be it's own state. Too much country club corruption in government businesses. Everyone in Nassau works in the city for a paycheck.

That "nothing" is called country, cityboy

There's no high paying jobs on Long Island aside from working at any of the area hospitals like LIJ, North Shore, or Winthrop. Niggers are being priced out of the city because Deblasio is gentrifying their neighborhoods.

I don't want urban sprawl, but at the same time I don't want fucking deer running on the roads.

(OP)
Unfortunately, voting doesn't matter in NY. Too much fraud and control coming from NYC.

Globalist city and stronghold. Only thing that could fix is Trump taking over mayorship, governorship, or something like that after his 8 year stint.

To "Make New York Great Again" would require mass deportations, tearing down the "One World" trade center, controls on foreign $$ buying up real estate.

Basically, a political will which cannot succeed here, conditions being what they are.

The numbers don't make sense to me. I live in a neighborhood that I can see voting for Clinton, but even here it shouldn't have been this ridiculous landslide. We have no niggers to speak of either. I also know that a lot of republicans here register as dems to vote in local elections. The numbers for Clinton tell me they counted all registered dems. And that's bullshit., because it's a common strategy to register as dem, because repubs have no primaries, and local elections are decided by the dems. So I don't believe those numbers. Even my retarded building had a good chunk of people not voting Clinton. I could tell by no tears in the eyes the next day lol.

Again, you know that even dems hate DiBlasio, and dems didn't like Dinkins either. Dinkins lost. But watch that fucker win this election. And I have total confidence he will win. He will also go to jail eventually like the other fuckers he was scheming with.

I didn't know king could do a kick reversal into a chain throw! How do you do it?

voting no
t.eerie county

I'm from the suburbs. city folks don't really understand the appeal of country or suburbs and less you use the nearest mall.

erie*

Only old school Dems and Bernie supporters hate DeBlasio. The yuppies who live in Upper Manhattan, Bronx, Queens and Brooklyn like him.

Vote yes. The people in this cancerous state are terrible, so let 'em suffer.

I get the number not making sense to you, they didn't make sense to me either. Though I only can directly observe my neighborhood, and my neighborhood went to Trump, to Sanders in the primaries, and to Albanese in mayoral primaries last September. So if there's fuckery, it's happening somewhere else.

How can they cheat using mail-in votes?

>at the same time I don't want fucking deer running on the roads.

Encourage people to hunt more.

Bullshit.

Why NO?

So, basically the hipsters transplants from out of state, the very people who are pricing us out of our own neighborhoods, are the ones backing DiBlasio, who's helping them gentrify.

NYC has lots of republicans. Which is what I'm trying to tell you. They are mostly registered as dems for local elections. Most of Wall St is republican. Lots of people won't admit it, but they vote repub. Staten Island is republican too. DiBlasio wouldn't win my building, and they are as left as you can go. They hate him too.

i dont want people changing the ny Constitution

It's worth the risk though and individual proposals can be voted down

At work when someone brings up topics like themselves or family members owning gund they always preface it with "don't worry Im/there extremely liberal" because there afraid to be outted or be their own person. It's sad.

I live in a heart of Darkness. I even saw Hillary stickers on one or two cars. But even here the numbers shouldn't have been as skewed. Most Asians and Wall St voted against her, and there are lots of Asians and Wall St people here. Not what the vote implied at all.

My dad claims you can't really cheat in numbers at the polls. He could be wrong, but he says he can let people without the names on the list vote, but that's about it. He is convinced cheating happens with mail in votes. He's done a good deal of work with statistics, so I believe him.

thats fake news

Leftists hate DiBlasio for being a fake progressive. The right has a good candidate in Malliotakis. Who the fuck is voting for Mayor Zero Vision besides his cronies?

This guy knows whats up. Plenty of closet conservatives wearing "D". Also I have almost never heard anyone speak positively about DiBlasio, even among the most liberal folks I know.

Exactly. He doesn't need any actual votes to win. I'm pretty sure he will win, though.

Changing the NY constitution is the only way to throw out the NY Safe Act

i like it
>i hate guns

Funny

716 here, voting yes to prop 1 but too many retards for it to pass.

>He could be wrong, but he says he can let people without the names on the list vote, but that's about it.

They can vote by affidavit ballot, but those are actually scrutinized carefully. Or at least they used to; I went to the wrong polling place once when I didn't know it had been changed, and had to vote by affidavit, and a few weeks later I got a letter telling me that they checked it out, and since I was at the wrong place, my vote was discarded.

I'm really curious about cheating by voting by mail - I've heard people complain that those votes aren't counted unless the race is close, but not the other way around.

Changing the Governor would work for that, too.

...

Queens boy here. Voting yes. Why not?

That's what I'm saying amigo. Let the city have them, they can part of Jew York DC.

git gud at driving pussy faggot

I'm voting no. The same people who messed up the state to begin with shouldn't be the ones rewriting the constitution.

585 voting yes prop 1

What are people voting on Prop 2 and 3?

They both seem to be no brainers for "Yes". Are there any counterarguments?

Hey fuck you too bud

Probably gonna vote yes just because there's a massive shill campaign against it.

I asked my dad, according to him, the mail in votes are always counted. He seems to be convinced that's how they cheat.

518 voting yes for the memes

Nassau resident. Expensive AF. 5br house on half acre around $1mm, taxes 20-35k... thats for a nationally top notch school district if you have or are having kids? Night life is DOA if single.
