Hello Comrades. This general is for the discussion of Marxism-Leninism, the ideology of revolutionary socialism and communism.
Communism is the next stage of humanity following the capitalist stage and the socialist stage.
What exactly is communism according to Marxist-Leninists:
>Communism is a stage of society in which the productive infrastructure is socially owned, and goods are produced not in order to sell for profit, but in order to meet a social need. >Communism in it's full form is a stateless, classless society that follows the maxim "From each according to their ability, to each according to their need." >To achieve such a society Marxism-Leninism teaches us that we must replace the capitalist state, which is controlled by the capitalist class, by a socialist state, which is controlled by the working class. Then, a period of class struggle follows in which the capitalist class is liquidated by the working class. When the capitalist class has been completely vanquished, there will be only one class, the working class, and eventually the functions of the state will become indistinguishable from the functions of the society as a whole, and the state as such will 'wither away' as Marx said. marxists.org/archive/marx/works/1847/11/prin-com.htm marxists.org/archive/marx/works/1848/communist-manifesto/
A bloodless insurrection occurred with a final assault against the Winter Palace, with 3,000 cadets, officers, cossacks and female soldiers poorly defending the Winter Palace. The Bolsheviks delayed the assault because the revolutionaries could not find functioning artillery. The Bolsheviks also prolonged the assault for fear of violence since the insurrection did not generate violent outbreaks. At 6:15 p.m., a large group of artillery cadets abandoned the palace, taking their artillery with them. At 8:00 p.m., 200 cossacks left the palace and returned to their barracks. While the cabinet of the provisional government within the palace debated what action to take, the Bolsheviks issued an ultimatum to surrender. Workers and soldiers occupied the last of the telegraph stations, cutting off the cabinet's communications with loyal military forces outside the city. As the night progressed, crowds of insurgents surrounded the palace, and many infiltrated it. While soviet historians and officials tended to depict the event in heroic terms, the insurrection and even the seizure of the Winter Palace happened almost without resistance. At 9:45 p.m, the cruiser Aurora fired a blank shot from the harbor. At 2:10 a.m on 26 October Bolshevik forces entered the palace, and after sporadic gunfire throughout the building, the cabinet of the provisional government surrendered.

>At the other end of the spectrum, at about the same time, the liberal internationalists of the Trilateral Commission published their lament over "The Crisis of Democracy" that arose in the "terrible" '60s, when previously apathetic and marginalized parts of the population -- the great majority -- began to try to enter the political arena to pursue their interests. That posed an intolerable burden on the state. Accordingly, the Trilateral scholars called for more "moderation in democracy," a return to passivity and obedience. The American rapporteur, Harvard professor Samuel Huntington, reminisced nostalgically about the time when "Truman had been able to govern the country with the cooperation of a relatively small number of Wall Street lawyers and bankers," so that true democracy flourished.
This is the reason they push for socialism/comunism. (((democracy crisis))), too much power for the goym.

>Communism is a stage of society in which the productive infrastructure is socially owned, and goods are produced not in order to sell for profit, but in order to meet a social need Why? How is it that the natural progression to coins to ease the transactions is a bad thing? Money that represents real goods and services is a bad thing cuz...?

Ethan Rodriguez
It is not a problem of stolen or not. It is not "stolen", because the results of production are of everyone but not solely of anyone. The capitalists are not stolen anything, but used their position in production and political power to control the surplus labour (profit). This of course is necessary for large scale production, but have a downside.
The main problem of capitalism is that the capitalists only invest the surplus profit for the sake of more profit, but not for the well-being of society.
So in early-communist society, we remove the private property of capitalists and put the control of production and surplus labour into the hand of economic planning council, aka. state. Of course the state can still degenerate, like Soviet Union under Khrushchev and Gorbachev, but at least the state must answer before workers, while the capitalists are not. The main thing is that workers still need to struggle to keep the state clean.
Hudson Kelly
A communist economic system would be characterized by advanced productive technology that enables material abundance, which in turn would enable the free distribution of most or all economic output and the holding of the means of producing this output in common. In this respect communism is differentiated from socialism, which, out of economic necessity, restricts access to articles of consumption and services based on one's contribution.
In further contrast to previous economic systems, communism would be characterized by the holding of natural resources and the means of production in common as opposed to them being privately owned (as in the case of capitalism) or owned by public or cooperative organizations that similarly restricts their access (as in the case of socialism). In this sense, communism involves the "negation of property" insofar as there would be little economic rationale for exclusive control over production assets in an environment of material abundance.
The fully developed communist economic system is postulated to develop from a preceding socialist system. Marx held the view that socialism—a system based on social ownership of the means of production—would enable progress toward the development of fully developed communism by further advancing productive technology. Under socialism, with its increasing levels of automation, an increasing proportion of goods would be distributed freely.
Tyler Brooks
No since the means of production will be communally owned the workers in the factory who will get their rightful labor rewarded and the ones who built the factory will also get their building labor paid for. Your implying if a group of builders built 100 factories they get x% of all the goods from 100 factories despite not even working in the factories themselves.
Their labor payment is for building the factories and the profits that were once generated by the workers which went towards the owner of the building company who made a profit off of materials used and worker labor now in fact go towards the builders. So they have seized their means of production which is in fact producing other means of production
Alexander Anderson
>The main problem of capitalism is that the capitalists only invest the surplus profit for the sake of more profit, but not for the well-being of society. Would individuals become unable to decide for themselves what the well-being of society constitutes, and are instead forced to adhere to what the consus of well-being is "for the greater good"?
>The main thing is that workers still need to struggle to keep the state clean. I think this asks too much of people. I don't think humans are capable of keeping a complex state clean for very long, and communism seems to accellerate that degeneration.
Sebastian Jenkins
>Why should I share my work with some stranger? But what is your work?

Early communist society are pretty much like late-capitalist society without capitalists. State cadres, professors, engineers, hard working workers (Stakhanovites) earn the most. The more lazy, the less earning.
But there is no millionaires and billionaires, and there is no super poor. Unemployment or living off from welfare don't exist, because the society don't want anyone to not working (aside from unlucky people who cannot work, but that is an insignificant minority)
Asher Hill

Yes, from what I see after 1991, the individual capitalists pretty much cannot think for the sake of society.
The wonderful invention of Internet, is use for adverting craps and promoting degenerate culture. Machine learning, which can liberate people from mundane tasks, is used for spying on people, this spying is not for the sake of Big Brother like of people afraid, but actually just to sell more advertisments.
On the marcoscale, the central banks keep printing money to save the capitalists. But the capitalists didn't know what to do, they turn to war and other destructive things.
Capitalism during when Soviet Union existed was actually decent, but now it is crap.
