i'm sure whatever town you live in has a local republican's club that meets once a month to discuss things like school board or who to vote for for governor. these places are usually filled with old people who are low energy. half of them still listen to glenn beck and most only watch hannity to get their news.
they love young people, and a young high energy person who is in tune with politics beyond fox news could completely change the dynamic and course of that local party. just start attending meetings, a single voice in a room full of only 9 or 10 people makes a huge difference
