no social media means the world was automatically better

After the 2008 crash, America looked like shit, particularly the cities. Homeless trash everywhere, crack heads, niggers, communists, prostitutes etc.

Then the Democrats got elected and set out to rebuild the whole fucking thing. And they did. In 2016, American cities were the pinnacle of human civilization. Ultra high IQ people, record levels of education, thriving multinational billion dollar corporations, young, good looking successful people everywhere, amazing culture that shaped and indeed changed the entire world in a few years. It was beautiful.

The only problem was that in order to achieve this, they had to get rid of the trash. All the niggers, low IQ subhumans, old people, prostitutes, crack heads etc. had to be kicked out. And they all ended up in the rural and suburban ghetto shitholes at the outskirts of the cities. But some people couldn't be kicked out because they had too much money. Trump was one of them. Being a gambling enabler, tax-evading, nigger-like pervert rapist with the vocabulary of an 8 year old, he didn't belong in the new, modern, ultra high IQ cities built by the democrats, and he wasn't happy about it.

So he set out to become the leader of the rural and suburban retards. He realized that some of the people who got kicked out by the democrats did not overdose on meth and still had just about enough brain cells left to vote. By appealing to their low-IQ, primal instincts, he managed to rally up enough of them to get elected and buy himself some time.

better, definitely

Things were much better. Social media has doomed us all.

Yes, they were factually better.

FPBP
Social media was the worst thing to happen to us since giving women the right to vote.

it was better

social media broke our brains

What a shitty copypasta, as expected from a leaf.

>"pedophilia is the pinnacle of civilization"

These.

this. oh, but the opposite of everything you just said.

You're a dumb liberal, I guarantee it.

The 90s was the afterglow of the glorious 80s, but the turning point was around 9/11.

I was a kid so I'm biased by the warmth of childhood. But my feeling is that the lack of internet/social media made people more community and family focused.

The world feels kind of spiritually cold now. It feels like things like love, family and community are kind of dying off. Now most marriages end in divorce and many people are atheist and liberal. Back in the 80s people truly loved God and country and believed in higher ideals than getting high and seeking physical pleasure with no higher purpose.

We won't go back to those days until the collapse.

Of course leaves love aussies. They're the biggest shitposters on this site.

Yes, it was better. Oldfag here.

What can we do? A first step could be some laws against astroturfing, e.g. Twitter and Reddit mustn't be allowed to secretly push or hide posts to influence the public opinion.

Without fast internet, information did not go around fast. Now it's just easier to realize how fucked up the world really is.

Yes. Social media killed humanity.

found obama leaf. Jesus christ I haven't been to Sup Forums in like 8 months but you're still here. What the fuck is wrong with you?

all of the modders were concentrated into a few games so video games were way more fun

I miss custom team fortress so much.

Is that Timothy McVeigh in the background?

True, however now it's also much easier to stage outrage and spread fake news.

It was better. Downloading MP3s and ROMs for the first time...mindblowing. But outside of technology it was great too. I could be a retarded teen dickhead around town with my friends and there was no record of it anywhere except in our heads. Plus there were still some vestiges of a community feeling, and people had actual hope.

i miss video games before i could google what to do

9/11 and Iraq broke the optimism we had on the new millennium. I'm old enough to remember how it felt when 2000 came. The technological things people expected are happening, and more, but there's a moral unease that we didn't have before.

Far better. Kids actually played outside.

It was way better senpai. Everyone I knew had a great paying job, family life was pretty solid, friends were close, social media didn't make us hate becky because she had a different opinion, dick picks weren't a thing, computers weren't in everyone's hands (just the smarties), college wasn't required to cook fries, college was actually as sign of being smart, h1bs didn't invade the tech scene yet bringing 3rdworld shitting streets to computers, terrorists hadn't scared us all, welfare state wasn't fully developed, obongo didn't lie to everyone and make obongos mad, computer games didn't suck, work was fun, christmas was celebrated, global warming wasn't the focus of everyone, prius didn't exist, f150 was actually awesome, football had big hits, porn wasn't blacked.com, mtn dew was still good, keyboards were still good, cucks hadn't taken over, music was great. I could go on but I got shit to do.

Everything turned to shit post 9/11.

Also this.

Yes, because you weren't constantly told to apologize for your race, or watch what you say. The funny part is that the early 2000s is when the ADL really started to go after people on the internet for "hate speech" and other offenses. Basically, Jews ruined the internet for everyone.

Civilization was better off before social media, identity politics and smartphones integrated with everyone's lives

Its amazing how different life was before 2007 when everything took a nosedive

HAAAAAAAA that was a nice story

anybody notice the (((twistys))) logo is a pedo sigil?

>Were things really better in the 90s/early 2000s, or is it just nostalgia?
It really was. Even driving around in USA was better because half of the people weren't busy texting on their smartphones.
I swear to God, we may have been missing the mark of the beast this entire time. Smartphones + social media = basically mark of the beast because you need to have a gmail or facebook or linkedin in this modern day and age and if you don't you are automatically shunned and questioned whether you are a normal individual.

ASIA FOR THE ASIANS, AFRICA FOR THE AFRICANS, WHITE COUNTRIES FOR EVERYBODY!

Everybody says there is this RACE problem. Everybody says this RACE problem will be solved when the third world pours into EVERY white country and ONLY into white countries.

The Netherlands and Belgium are just as crowded as Japan or Taiwan, but nobody says Japan or Taiwan will solve this RACE problem by bringing in millions of third worlders and quote assimilating unquote with them.

Everybody says the final solution to this RACE problem is for EVERY white country and ONLY white countries to “assimilate,” i.e., intermarry, with all those non-whites.

What if I said there was this RACE problem and this RACE problem would be solved only if hundreds of millions of non-blacks were brought into EVERY black country and ONLY into black countries?

How long would it take anyone to realize I’m not talking about a RACE problem. I am talking about the final solution to the BLACK problem?

And how long would it take any sane black man to notice this and what kind of psycho black man wouldn’t object to this?

But if I tell that obvious truth about the ongoing program of genocide against my race, the white race, Liberals and respectable conservatives agree that I am a naziwhowantstokillsixmillionjews.

They say they are anti-racist. What they are is anti-white.

Anti-racist is a code word for anti-white.

yep

>Wages were higher relative to inflation
>Employment was higher
>People hadn't had their jobs shipped overseas yet
>there weren't spics everywhere
>it was a time of peace and looking forward (pre2001)
>We had economic benefits from NAFTA but not the disadvantages because the job losses hadn't hit us yet.

we also didn't have internet-connected phones with cameras

>obamaleaf
Anyone that responds to this troll without saging should kys.

9/11 broke the hope of the 90's and gave government the boogeyman they so desperately wanted since the Soviet Union collapsed.

Social media is stunting the youth of America. There's an entire generation growing up that has no idea how to talk to people in person.

There's no going back until it all collapses.

Not a surprise.

I remember when the company I worked for got email accounts for everyone! Very not exciting

Nigger I don't know how to talk to people in person and I'm 36.

80s kid here. What I would do to transport me and my family back to the good times. I'm fucking sick to death of today's society. Social media has destroyed the little hope we had left. When I was growing up kids would dream about becoming fighter pilots, doctors, engineers etc today the only thing on their mind is why didn't my pawg selfie get 150 likes on Facebook.

A single spiral isn't anythign to be alarmed about. If they use more symbols and are genuinely creepy then yes it means something. But a single spiral in a logo doesn't mean much.

>Rural and suburban retards

Long time no see, old friens.

I bought a pager and my parents thought I was a drug dealer. I was but it had nothing to do with he pager.

The internet was literally a million times better when it was comprised of 95%+ white males. I am old enough to vividly remember the internet around 2000-2002 when "there are no girls on the internet" was more factual than a meme(this stupid word wasn't even in use then btw). And minorities were literally unheard of online. If they were on the internet, they never referred to their ethnicity or brought up race related garbage.

I wonder about this. I can tell you that everyone got along a hell of a lot better in the 90's. Yes, it was better.

Being so gay or autistic that you find a pedo symbol from that picture.

YFW

WAY Better in the 90s as far as the social complex goes. it wasnt the age of LGBT, SJW, BLM, and other assorted faggotry! and o yea.. girls weren't complete feminist cunts!

>fpbp
social media is absolute cancer

I'm 39. I lived through the nineties as a teenager.

It's difficult to say. For me personally, I think it was better. The shit kids/teenagers are subjected to today that I wasn't when I was younger is quite staggering.

I attribute the widespread adoption of the contemporary Internet as being a large contributing factor - specifically the 'social' element of it and how it permeates behaviour in the real world.

The emasculation of dudes is also something pretty striking to me, and the overall softening of media, music, movies, news reporting and opinions/speech in general I find incredible. Feelings are easily hurt, or more specifically people seem to go to great lengths today to let me know how hurt or offended they are at inane bullshit, and this seems to occupy large chunks of people's time.

In the 90s we had our share of stupid bullshit and there were plenty of dickheads and wankers around, but we had no trouble telling them to shut up and for the most part, they did. People's egos weren't near as fragile, which set a very different social tone.

At the same time, many of my generational peers are raising kids today (I have none of my own) and I find it pretty fucking insane some of the ideals they are pumping into them that sits at complete odds with how I would expect my generation to raise kids.

Every generation has its dickheads and good people, good aspects and bad. As time stretches on, I find new generations/eras to be more uptight and incapable of relaxing. The 90s and early parts of the 2000s might well be the end of a long running era. The 80s had a different tone again, though I was a pre-teen during that period, so my participation is perhaps a lot less critical as a result.

It was way better. Literally the entire world's policy nowadays is somewhere rooted due to 9/11.

Everything was better. Unless you wanted to beat off to pictures of your niece on Facebook with your cell phone. That was tough. But everything else was better.

both

for the most part there were no girls on the internet until about 06-07

...

Spoken like a true 26 year old. This is false. If anything, if you don't count plebian bullshit like Facebook, there were more women than there are now.

better, in the sense that everyone was asleep and didn't know any better

Cause their scanners “broke”

this

Everything was better in the 90s because overstimulation did not yet set in and the U.S.A. was for the most part on the up and up economically.

Toys were everywhere, movies were putting out amazing cinema, video games were reaching a new technologic revolution, music was pushing the edge away from the preachy fem rock of things like The Beatles and hippie messages.

It wasn't just nostalgia, it was in general better.
Maybe not the best, but having lived from the 80s till now.
It was the best time frame by far.

>Then the Democrats got elected and set out to rebuild the whole fucking thing. And they did. In 2016, American cities were the pinnacle of human civilization. Ultra high IQ people, record levels of education
Also none of this happened, exactly the opposite.

hardly any mudslimes, everyone bluepilled on the subject and race seemed to matter less, most immigrants integrated into society, people much less politicised. Social media really is cancer and has been subverted by propagandists who saw the power of it. I still shun it to this day.

Women still stay away from most of the internet. They just isolate themselves to social media for the most part. For a group of people that are always glued to their phones they are actually pretty fucking retarded when it comes to anything else internet related.

>2005: snitches get stitches
>2017: Hate speech is not free speech, report Islamophobia to the police REEEEEEEEEEE

Yeah, strangely enough when I keyed out my response this was among the first things to hit me too.

I don't use social media. To me it's the Woman's Day Magazine of today. It's complete shit. I get the appeal it has on the masses, but fuck that. The signal:noise ratio that comes with that shit is mind blowing.

When it is adopted it erodes relationships like rust spreading through the husk of an old car. It makes friendships weaker, thinner. When it factors into relationships, it fuels some of the most petty and emasculating bullshit I have ever bared witness to. Virtue signalling is out of control. Dudes getting whiff of digital pussy is an embarrassment to the gender.

I'll admit that I am perhaps considered old now, but I'd wager that my social interactions have a bit more heft and meaning to them because I don't scratch a chunk of my participation in them out over a piece of slipperly plastic and glass. I won't deny a new generation fosters friendships and so on just fine the way they do these days, but I do know from experience that there's definitely some sauce missing.

Social media's distraction from reality and the here and now is quite strange for me to witness. There's an absence of presence among I suppose what someone my age would call 'young people'. There is a great wall between the generations that is quite obvious to me (and perhaps them), though every now and then I bump into some younger people who haven't been as heavily indoctrinated and it truly is refreshing.

This is wonderful, thank you, saved.

The 1990's are Pax Americana. We reached our peek. Overwhelmingly White, neighborhoods were safe, lots of interesting niche subcultures and most of the stuff we have available today was still available then just a lot less polished.

I still have vivid memories of being able to ride my bike with my friends around our neighborhood from the time we left school and only had to be back at sun down. There was never any worries about anything.

I live across the country from the midwest town I grew up and my mother had to relocate to a new city because she had to get a new job and she tells me that the past halloweens are nothing like when my siblings and I were kids.

The parents don't let the neighbor kids outside on their own and we hear about criminal Mexican/Black gangs slowly moving in on the working class white communities.

It's a shame. I wish I could go back but I know I never can. We just have to prepare for the war ahead so we can save this world and create a safe place for our posterity.

Yes, it was better.

If you didn't experience it, sucks for you. The 90s were the last great decade. Technology is better now, but the intrusion of social-media isn't really an improvement for society.

I'm 37, our generation more or less straddles the pre/post 9/11 divide. Half of the people I knew in high school turned into luddites, still reading newspapers and jacking off to print media. The other half are practically cyborg.

The infection runs deep, my friend. This is something that can only be cured by forcing yourself to do it. (It really helps to be around people that are good at it, too)

exibit A: millenial Leaf
dont be this guy

life before social media and smart phones was awesome

The playstation was the only thing i ever wanted in the 90s.
I had hated facebook ever since it had spawned into existence in 2008.
I liked it when games were actually games and not half finished pieces of crap which were hastily copied and pasted to fill the space on the CD.

>this is fucking p2p
Peer to PEER
you dont get any mor social than that.

this other shit is spyware
its spying
from myspace, to facebook, they added pretty much spyware plugins
oh yea maybe think about that

I'm 33, I lived through a lot of the 80's playing with toys but I remember the 90's really well. Quake 3 LAN parties were a thing, everyone had a cousin or cousin's friend who played so you could quickly fill a 20 man party. As far as it being in general better, I'm 100% sure that 9/11 fucked everything for everyone who wasn't a millionaire. If you were a normal person, your parents got political as shit overnight, the internet cost per hour rather than a flat cost for the early 90's, there were fewer places to be social so it was online + IRL rather than just online the way it is now. We also didn't have Facebook and Twitter so college campuses weren't idiotic criticism factory that taught people to criticize shit instead of analyze. A lot of shit went wrong on 9/11 but overall, I think it's the rose tinted glasses that fuck most people. Getting older, knowing shit is getting worse, experiencing violent and abrupt change in their lives.

I miss the 90's. I miss the 80's. I miss not being an adult. I miss people not being angry at all times.

>ok ok
hang on
so you got mp3 sharing. thats like sharing, files

its like every reply is a file

then you had like, mIRC. thats chatting. so we could,
go on napster, download files
thne go on mirc and discuss it

what the fuck is this facebook shit?

90s was like, before facebook

before facebook in the 2000s was the 90['s but without the stupid september 11th / 9/11 bull shit.

not hard to figure it out

This
People now like to rat each other out.

are you a nigger

fuck dude, pic related looks comfy af

But for real, you know what? I miss not being sexually abused. I miss not having had a daughter and losing her to her meth head mom. I miss not being alone all the time. I miss not needing alcohol and drugs. I miss a lot of shit but more than anything I just miss feeling anything but grief and anger.

>you can never go back
FUUUUUUUUUUUUU

brother you have nailed it here

Leave it to a leaf to make a post like this

1957 reporting in
>really miss my childhood

the terrorists literally won, and that’s a good thing

I-it'll all be okay user

Better.........we had fucking tank car chases in Los Angeles.......look it up on youtube. It's real. Oh and MTV was kicking ass and played everything from Prodigy to Biggie to Dee Lite to Billy Idol to Tom Petty. Yeah.......new millenials can fuck right off...........anddddd we had STREET FIGHTER 2 mania at the arcades. Yeah fuck off.

This

I hate life but don't wanna off myself

Yeah pretty much. There weren't these massive attacks on suburbia like we see today, And overall people were friendlier. There was more Alcohol and Tobacco use back then which kinda sucked so long as you stayed away from blacks, smokers, and drinkers. Things were good

Is that a midget?

Geee, such an intense post you have there.

>Those LIMES though!

facebooks been around since like 2005
