Insects are freakishly powerful for their size and some are remarkably organized.

Now just imagine how terrifying it would be if an insect grew to human size and had human (or above) level intelligence.

strength/size is a deminishing return. Insects would lose most of their proportionate strength if scaled to 180 lbs.

...

Terraformars?

cell could die by a nuclear bomb?

Dragonball doesn't even have nuclear weapons

>Now just imagine how terrifying it would be if an insect grew to human size

Crushed under there own weight?

Are you the narrator from Terraformars?

Togashi just wanted to show how shit Toriyama was at creating villains so he created his own bug to draw comparison.

Toriyama then came out of retirement to show how shit Togashi is coming off hiatus

To bad for them insects are limited to smaller sizes because of their tracheal breathing system.

Giant insects existed according to the fossil record. The biggest problem would be supplying all that bodymass with Oxygen.

Exponential increase is energy needed to move massive mass.

A small insect can do it easy because atmospheric pressure and the gravity cancels most of the requirement. But as it scales up, this becomes a problem.

Look up Giant Weta, its one of the biggest insects and its slow as shit and cant be agile like their tiny cousins.

...

Well if you're engineering bugs to be humanoid, you'd obviously give them lungs, or some other form for increased oxygen intake.

>Saiyan DNA for SSJG
>Frieza & King Cold DNA for Golden
>Namek regeneration
>All of the above for suicide-bomb zenkai boosts

Shine some nuclear radiation on them to evolve them into super powered kaiju bug.
It worked for godzilla.

what the fuck is that real

It's called "insolence". One of the seven deadly sins. Or "pride" if you barely speak English.

PURGE SINNERS
oh wait-

We'll it use to be

in ancient times before dinosaurs and mammals, yes

There used to be more oxygen in the atmosphere.

Bugs had to grow large to avoid being poisoned by it.

Centipede's 2.4m great grandpa in Murrica and Scotland.

Yeah, also, an insect as big as a horse would have an exoskeleton far too heavy to even allow it to move.

It does, actually.

Or rather, without major land predators, there was no reason to remain small.
