Why most villains from this show are far more interesting and likable than the "protagonist" cast? The secondary citizen general, the general with wife, the commander who use stealth technique and Dressler himself, hell even the racist human guy is hinted to have more noble motivation than what he show. The protagonists however are bunch of boring Mary Sue with thick than metal plot armor.
