I have said this multiple times: genes must result in a physical trait. There no known physical, genetically caused trait that distinguishes a person as a homosexual. If genes can denote someone as homosexual, which I highly doubt, then that is proof of a genetic disorder.
For homosexuals to pass on genes that denotes their children as homosexuals, then as it is same sex attraction then the reproduction must occur within a male/male, female/female copulation. This also would require the sexual organs to be naturally altered from normal human anatomy to accomplish this - no surgery required. Since this would be the case, one can argue that for genes to create homosexuals, then homosexuals are another specie of humans. Since that's not the case in reality, then it's rightfully classified as a fetish, an unproven genetic disorder, or a mental disorder.

We don't know exactly what genes, yes, but we know at least some of the influence is genetic, from twin studies. And we have a fairly recent study I linked showing (again) linkages at the X chromosome at region Xq28 for identical twins, as well as at chromosome 8. There's no reason to believe inherently that sexuality is less genetic than other conditions merely because people don't like it.
