Usagi Drop

Remember when you hgggnnned, Sup Forums?

Guess not

S2 WHEN?

You don't want it.

The ending fucking ruined the entire manga retroactively for me.

Don't tell me what I don't want.

At this point I want season 2 just to piss off the normie redditors that shit up Usagi Drop threads.

You know, I haven't seen anyone able to justify the ending without basically saying:
>It pisses off normalfags therefore it's good

Imagine if the same thing was to happen to Yotsubato. Sup Forums would go into meltdown.

That's because when people do you plug your ears, I see it every thread.

You also don't have to "justify" the ending of a work of fiction. It was set up, contrary to what "people" like you choose to believe it had been set up for a long time. It wasn't incest, in the first half of the manga it was established that Rin didn't see Daikichi as a father, Kouki grew up to be a scum bag and the Daikichi missed his chance with the milf. All were very human scenarios and I applaud the author for setting this up in a not very idealistic way. Of course people were going to hate it, people hate real world problems because they remind them of their own problems. But from a writing stance it was all sound. You hate it because you are incapable of seeing the first half as anything but fatherhood porn, which is never was.

This.
I just want some more comfy adult Rin/Daikichi moments.

>But from a writing stance it was all sound. You hate it because you are incapable of seeing the first half as anything but fatherhood porn, which is never was.

>hey Daikichi, I want to fuck you
>w-what?
>Yes, 'daddy', I want the D
>Okay, give me 2 years to think about it
>(2 years later)
>Sure thing baby. Let's get married.

Cute ending

>Trivialisation
2 years is an incredibly long time and after that he was still hesitant but willing because he wanted to make Rin happy.

She also never said "FUCK ME WHILE I CALL YOU DADDY XD", stop citing that parody page.

Daikichi never lusted after her,
it's never clear why he said yes, after losing the Cake he figured he was going to end up alone anyway.

That's not why he said yes at all though. He said yes because he forced Rin behave as she always had for 2 years and in those 2 years he tried to stop thinking of her like a daughter since she never thought of him like a father. And his response at her graduation gave the impression that he only just barely managed it.

Part 1 is heartwarming and Hnngggg

Part 2 is not for everyone, but I admire the mangaka for pulling off something like that.

Was the milf ever into him?

Why did people hate the ending, did you want her to marry some no face?

people got too attached to daughteru stuff from the 1st part. Specially since Daikichi was used as a self insert.

Yes, but her son was into Rin so she just gave up to give her son a chance for romance (an elementary schoolkid). Too bad Kid got shot down tho TopKek. Sucks that she immediately dated some other dude, she's pretty cheap if you ask me

>2 years is an incredibly long time
Hahaha, what the fuck. How old are you, user?
You do realize marriage is usually meant for life, don't you? We're talking about a woman with zero experience in love matters, one that has had literally two romantic interests in all of her life: her daddy and a kid that was discarded when she was 15 or something.
>oh, but it happens 2 years later
The problem was never the amount of time given to ponder the decision. It's a life changing decision that will probably mess up all their relationships with other people.

Just how did Daikichi switch his fatherly feelings to romantic ones in a 2-year span of having a woman act the same way she used to for all her life? For all the originality of the twist and the development in their relationship, Daikichi ends up being the stereotyped respectful, cold and distant husband.

I'm gonna dump a few pages of "sound writing". Disregard the watermark.

...

...

Rin didn't call Daikichi daddy, dad or father, he was her guardian not a Father.
Yotsuba calls Koiwai daddy from the beginning, as a proper adoptive father

I don't get your point with these,
at least we can agree that he had morals and felt really creeped out that her pseudo daughter had feelings for him.
he's not cold and distant at the very end.
(if ever)

(he blushes when they talk about the milf, whom he no longer has a chance with, but not when his daughter confesses to him like 2 chapters earlier)

this a manga user, not real life

...

(literally 3 panels)

(the infamous source of I want to ride you edit)

(crying because she says he's made her happy as a good guardian/father)

Years later, I'm STILL mad. Fuck you, fuck this series.

>tfw no daddy bf ever

Rin is living the dream.

Those 2 years where he had time to think were skipped all together, as shown here (, ). All the romantic bits expected of newly weds are skipped.
>and felt really creeped out that her pseudo daughter had feelings for him
It's not a matter of being creeped out. He's hurt but her feelings (). A chapter later, he even says she'll always be HIS CHILD ().
>he's not cold and distant at the very end.
What I meant is he keeps acting the same way he's always did. Looking the other way when embarrassed. Not teasing her. Not acting like heels-over-head in love or anything, that is, not showing any sort of physical affection for his bride.

Which is the whole problem with this mangaka as a writer and artist. She depicts Rin's changes, but Daikichi is one day okay will all this. There is not a single change in his expression (visually) or in the way he talks (might be lost in the translation, but doubt there are telltales anyway).
Remember how that first part were so devoted to Daikichi's feelings of inferiority when it came to parenting? You're delusional if you think this story was centered around Rin. Nothing of the whole end is sound writing.

*hurt by her feelings
*that first part was so devoted
*the same way he always did
Fucking typos everywhere.

It's fucking weird you pedo.

>normie redditor

You don't seem any better.

Regardless it's not like manga is some obscure thing no one knows about.

>Where did I go wrong?

> tfw good guys finish last ending.

feels good.

What are the worst supporters for the ending?
>fuck off normie (contrarian shitposters)
>the man is a genious, he raised his own waifu (pedos)
>hehe I knew it all along she had the hots for him because she never called him 'daddy' (keikaku doori)
>the author gifted him a daughterfu for his life of sacrifice (the weirdos)
>he knew he wasn't related by blood from the start (the deluded)

Let me just remind you he saw this orphan girl and decided to adopt her on a whim. He grew to love her (as a child) and he raised her for 10 years, sacrificing his job and his energy. All this apparently changed him deeply, it made him more stable to name one thing. Then he's faced with her feelings. He obviously tries to reject her by pushing the decision 2 years into the future, hoping she'll find some hot new bf. Deadline is over, she's still a virgin and he decides to fuck her.
It's not even a matter of it being like real life or not. It's just messy writing. I can understand that maybe the author did plan it like that the whole way, centering part 1 around Daikichi, and part 2 about Rin. But it's just so poorly executed it hurts. Even the fucking extra chapters devoted to bullshit are painful to watch.
For people on this board that shit on so many series due to >muh shock value, this double standard is so stupid I'm embarrassed to even point it out.

so much butthurt in this thread,
I hope S2 gets animated someday.

daikichi made the right choice

Yeah and she blamed daikishi for not going for her
