The recent 35th Anniversary Urusei Yatsura stream was fun, so why not watch some good mecha next?

The first Patlabor OVA episodes start tonight at 9 Eastern, showing episodes of Astro Fighter Sunred (toku parody) until then.

And we're go!

No enthusiasm for Patlabor?

I'm disappointed in you Sup Forums

Sup Forums sucks and has shit taste, thats why.

I love Patlabor. The idea of giant robots using giant revolvers and a specific scene where the humans are reloading the giant bullets into said giant revolver.
Also, one of many animes where tomatoes play a prominent role.

>tomatoes
oh shit, I forgot about that episode, can't wait until we get to it

Aw Yeah, Patlabor time! Been a long time since I've seen this.

I got aus innanet m8, I'll be there in spirit

What about the Patlabor TV Series?

>The recent 35th Anniversary Urusei Yatsura stream was fun
No it wasn't. Casual fucks on Sup Forums don't deserve to know about that great show. I kinda hate that guy for doing that stream.

Patlabor TV is my favorite slice of life show.

we'll get to that after the OVA and first movie

Patlabor is shit

Objectively bad taste: the post.

Leona Ozaki better version of Noa.

>absolutely generic mech designs
>retarded main character that needs every single other character's help to do anything right
It's like Yui except 20 years ago, I couldn't agree more with you

>what I watched
Patlabor
>what I expected
Crazy mech fights
>what I got
enthralling police drama that just happens to be in a mech universe

>what I expected
Crazy mech fights
>what I got
enthralling police drama that just happens to be in a mech universe
>what I really got
wacky hijinks - tomatoes, alligators, and monsters

Wasn't Oshii only involved with the OVAs anyway?

That's some great taste.

Oshii was involved in writing the manga, then he directed the first OVA, films 1 and 2, and Next Gen.

...

Can you stream One Punch Man?

Kanuka is love
Kanuka is life

So how many UY VAs are in Patlabor anyway?

No it isn't.

No, it should be Re:Zero.

>streaming

>being a newfag
Sup Forums livestreams several series. Lurk more.

it's not the best way to watch anime, but it's the best way to watch anime as part of an audience

...

only watched the first ~14 episodes of LUM in the stream, you guys went way too fuckin fast and i'm NEET

Are you sure?

Different streamfag.

Finished?

Yeah cause a board like Sup Forums where nobody ever knows what the fuck they are talking about to the point where even post waifus threads which are about the only thing the modern anime fanbase can even remotely comprehend seems like an epic struggle to it is going to be hype for a reboot of a nearly 30 year old franchise. I mean we could make this a thread about why the modern anime fanbase sucks a bunch of dicks and has terrible taste that is dictated to them by conglomerates they aren't even aware of but might as well just leave them to shitpost about Kyoani and Shaft all day thinking that it matters at all.

Patlabor 2?

Wait a minute. I haven't seen any of the OVAs or movies and I'm working through the TV series currently. Am I watching in the wrong order or does it not matter?

production order is: OVA1, film1, TV, OVA2, Film2, WXIII, Next Gen

But the various parts of the franchise are in different continuities, so you can watch in any order you like and not miss much.

Oshii seems to love taking Shirow's work and toning it down.

DAKISHIMETE! MIDNIGHT BLUE!

Good thing he didn't get Dominion Tank Police.

But that's basically what Patlabor is.

GReco stream when?

Orly?
