I'm stuck on the east coast.. nothing much to see.. been through the Appalachian trail etc..
The church is next to it. It's a temple which we really shouldn't have as Christians. But we call it a cathedral when we are talking to foreigners. The Cult of St.Sava was really influential once. We even managed to spread it to the Russian court.

Hram = temple , it's not our fault it translates that way to english katedrala = cathedral , they are 2 different things from the aspect of architecture

i'm glad that this design didn't make it(even though i like the way the guy who made that project invisioned the city). it looks more like a mosque than a church.
that's actually a pretty decent building, they fit it in the surroundings pretty well. however, behind it is the rest of new belgrade and i'd prefer not to ruin this comfy thread by posting a picture of the abomination.

It's actually in Bruges, Belgium. Pic related is the real building I think

Oh boy. It seems I didn't fully explain it in such way that you could understand. As Christians we are forbidden from having temples. There is a reason that right next to the Temple of St.Sava there is the church of St.Sava. The reason we call it a temple is because that's what it is a Temple to St.Sava. We are not supposed to have temple worship of a mortal man. It's basicly a pagan temple. So when we speak to foreigners we call it a cathedral. Because calling it a temple would a bit on the nose.
