One of the problems, that we're seeing right now, is that promotion and obtaining a new status at the same job is becoming increasingly harder due to individuals getting into a very comfortable role, say, store manager, which pays decently and allows them to live a good life, so they refuse to continue moving up the career ladder, so everyone under them either suffers or is forced to look for new employment. I'm not sure why this is the case these days.
