What's the last GOOD manga that you've read?

What's the last GOOD manga that you've read?

Just finished Naruto, man what a wild ride.

I read both parts of Zero last week. I want more.

I'm reading angel densetsu right now

>Emanon will never have a significant impact on your life only to leave you behind to remember her for your short life while she is forced to remember you for eternity

why even FUCKING live

...

...

>GOOD manga
why would i read shitty manga?

ULTRAHEAVEN

You won't know if a manga is good or bad until you've read a chapter or two

Because sometimes you don't know that it's shit till you start to read it.

Strange concept I know, but it's actually true.

I literally just read all 25 chapters of Instant Bullet in one sitting.
I came to Sup Forums to vent.
Thanks for introducing me to work through Kaguya-sama and "wanna watch some porn" reaction image, Sup Forums.
It's like the whole manga was nothing but 25 chapters of concentrated edge and character exploration, and I enjoyed every second, every fucking page of it. And these kinds of works usually bug the hell out of me.
Damn, despair really is great. I want more now.

...

kare kano

Taiyou no ie.

A Zoo in Winter.

It seems like awkward, brooding yet kind monster with young girl is my new favorite trope.

Dungeon Meshi is fun, but I'm not sure if I would call it good.

Hajime no Ippo
Sure it stumbles at times, but at the same time it has some great hype moments. Really want another anime season for it.

>wanna watch some porn

yes I do

I just reread this pretty good

It's nice to read something that is above high school for once.

We're a volume from completion but it's been a great couple of years reading this series.

cruising halfway into Homunculus. This manga sold me into using CG in manga, the paneling and visual creativity is impeccable and never loses me in the action even when I don't know what the fuck is going on

Just read half of GTO today, pretty fun.

It's been so long since I finished something and thought it was good...

Saturn Apartments.

DOROHEDORO

Kind of past that time of year now, but still fun.

I actually just finished Akumetsu. I mean JUST finished. It was pretty good. I've read much worse at least, and I was pretty surprised how the general tone of it managed to stay the same through the whole thing. I don't really see that much with stuff 100+ chapters like it was.

Mermaid Prince

>Those eyes

That's horrifying

Is there anything else like this?

Yee.

You could read the rest of the author's stuff. It's all good.

heard good things about this. got any pages of this you could use to sell a fence user?

I recently read through Japan Tengu Party Illustrated. That was quite a ride

I fucking remember when Sup Forums discovered that. Has it really been years?

Go read Scientia and Hotel.

Try Futari no Renai Shoka.

what is the boku no pico of manga?

Geiger Counter.

I am a Hero is pretty good
I enjoy it

Totsukuni no shoujo. It's comfy.
Oh, so I'm not alone.

Again!! from Kubo Mitsurou

it's just one of these mangas that just WORK for me

Finished Shigurui.

It was good.

...

I think it's seriously overrated honestly

I want to go browse zombie 2ch

I said it was good.
Not great though.
Still, solidly good.

>I hate the word overrated

...

Screaming Lesson.
Ghost girl is cute.

kokou no hito

Cradle of Monsters was quite good, much better than that cuckshit of his that got animated.

Omg i was searching fór this manga fór so long

Boku Dake is okay at best, but this is some shitty taste. Cradle of Monsters is just some schlocky Poseidon zombie Adventure shit.

>cuck
I don't know why I'd expect good taste from cancer, though.

>Boku Dake is okay at best
So true.

Aqua Planet Chronicle

pretty much that one as well.

Sadly still in 'updates when' for the sequel though.

Funny thing: it was Emanon.

Edgy as fuck

Just finished 20th and 21st Century Boys yesterday.
It's insane the amount of interconnectivity and story density there is. Mystery genre isn't generally my thing, but this stuff is masterful.

I'm always amazed by how forgotten Urasawa is in Sup Forums. Unfortunately, the only mentions I see of him are usually to say how overrated Monster is.

Just out of curiosity, not trying to stir up shit or anything like that. How many manga have you read?

Any manga genre you guys tend to lean towards? I always stay on the ecchi side, not really any manga I'd probably call good on there but they do entertain. Magicalize is a pretty decent read if you want to see tits. The artist is an h artist. When I was younger I used to read pretty much everything I could find on onemanga, I's, Happy World, and Mai Hime are some of my most memorable manga from that site.

Not that much actually. I've always been more fond traditional novels, particularly sci-fi, but I've been getting more into manga for the past year even if it's just to try new things. I still have a lot of "classics" left to read.
I've been watching anime all my life though.

I'll eat shit. Meant for

...

Comfy shoujo, as of recently.

Just go read it user, the art, story, characters and world building are all great and really different from most shit out there.

you started reading it because it looked promising/friends kept bugging you about it/read it when there were only a few chapters
and now youre stuck on this ride because youre too proud to drop it and it doesnt update that much anyway

I've recently read Cradle of the Sea, Im enjoying it so far.

Not everything you like or enjoy is going to be objectively good. And if you don't understand the difference, you're probably useless for a thread like this.

Ok, I guess I'll start reading it again.

Itezuru by Kazuo Kamimura

...

Just reread Hare Kon.

It's pretty good.

I dropped Vagabonf Around chapter 200 to.start reading 20th century boys. Then I dropped 20th Century Boys around chapter 200 and started reading light novels. I don't know, after a lot of chapters the whole tomodachi identity thing went from super exciting to mildly interesting, I should pick it up again before I forget everything and never finish it.

Overall, I'd say the story of 20th is a lot more intricate and complicated than Monster but it's not as intense and well paced. Perhaps a bit too long as well. Still, great read.

I personally loved Monster's story from the point Grimmer was introduced all the way to the end, maybe 20th century didn't handle timeskips well enough to keep me interested and excited. Otso is aight though

One Piece.

Just finished Nausicaa. Great read, but I don't think it's Miyazaki's magnum opus. Honestly I much preferred Parasyte in how it handled its environmental themes. The eco terrorist aspects were very offputting to me. That being said, the art, story, world building, and characterization were all top notch. Except Selm, fuck that Mary Sue.

How's it overrated?

Read Darwin's game from the chap 1 again, shit was good

20CB is horrible and shit. I'll never understand how people can ever like 20CB over Monster. Everything about 20CB, from the characters, to the main villain, to the overall theme is absolutely bad. It shows Urasawa's worst traits on the structure of his stories (main villain does whatever, while the rest of the characters are powerless to stop him and do literally nothing the entire story) with only one good twist. Killing Friend out of nowhere was pretty good but only that one part.

For example, Friend's daughter gets an entire arc about gathering the mafia gangs together and fighting Friend or something. It gets foreshadowed that she's going to die and bla bla bla, and then what happens? Nothing. Then she comes back after the time skip as the Ice Queen and falls out of the story entirely.

Or how about the main character who does basically nothing the entire storty, then shows up at the end with amnesia, only to do nothing, then sing a concert at the end of the world.

Fuck 20CB.

In love with this, the OVA's capture it perfectly too. I'd kill to have more of it, but the mystery of the world in that state is a big part of what makes it so special. The giant winged ship, the mushrooms and lights, the rising waters. it doesn't matter, everyone has come to accept it.

Nice rec thread faggot

Hatsukoi Zombie is pretty good
