What's the most underrated manga you've ever read?

Title says it all, post the best thing that no one reads.

Mine is Bambino by far. Beautiful series with not enough people reading for the second half to be scanlated.

Nobunaga no Chef.

so underrated it's not even rated

I hate Bambino for the unplanned abortion of LoveInterest'sExLover and his Baby.

Japanese and their cooking mangas man.

I just recently read Bambino, is that in Secondo because that hasnt been translated fully and I aint read it all.

It's not underrated, as everyone who has read it says it's amazing, but Voynich Hotel. More people should read it, which is why I'm posting in this thinly veiled recommendation thread.

Ill check it out, though I may have heard about it before. A seinen in that art style looks good.

Anyone read Soil? Im only 3 chapters in and it's truly wild with a fantastic art style but not sure if its worth jumping in.

From what I'm currently reading and buying:
Ajin
Inuyashiki
Welcome to the Ballroom

Don't hear much discussion on them but I like the artwork and find the stories enjoyable.

>Anyone read Soil?
The only people still reading it are the ones who waited 3 years for translators to pick it up again.

It's been such a long time since the last volume i don't even remember their names.

The problem is usually getting the volumes. Baminbo was only finished when a gaijin flew to Japan and took the last volumes home to mail to the (sole) scanlator.

It's not 2006 anymore.

Whats up with 2006?

The raws for Soil have been around the whole time, nobody wanted to translate them besides Hox but he was busy with his three kingdoms manga so it's only recently been getting worked on. I would up asking some frenchanon about the ending during that time since the series was fully published there.

>Baminbo was only finished when a gaijin flew to Japan and took the last volumes home to mail to the (sole) scanlator
Are they not aware of the existence of Amazon JP?

Raws are not a problem. Shipping doesn't cost an arm and leg. More and more stuff is getting available digitally every week.

first time on Sup Forums?

they're on every OPT and regularly get threads when something good happens. Ballroom was getting weekly threads while it was being translated

This. so underrated not even Sup Forums reads it. story is feel good slice of life. it's like Sakamoto with less perfection and more MC learning and making everyone around him feel good

It's more because the sequel is utter shit.

Been coming here for years I've just been out of the loop for a while with manga.

Secondo is really bad and barely has any of what made the first series awesome.

That manga's MC probably has the most beautiful soul of any series, ever.

Jin
Team Medical Dragon
Super Doctor K
Jyoshikausei

Good taste, user. Bambino was fucking exhilarating the first time I read it.

Biorg trinity why scanlators why

Threads of Time

Dragons Rioting is the best over-the-top shonen parody I have ever read, but that's only because Kowashiya Gamon is 2313d ago. I guess it got a lot of hate while it was being translated but I missed all that.

That redrawer needs to be shot.

Bambino was fucking top last I've read. Is secondo regularly translated?

ran to Haiiro no Sekai

>Jin
>Team Medical Dragon
>Nobunaga no Chef
wish updates came faster, especially since the first two are finished

Jyoshikausei is also good, there should be more non dialogue manga

Is that image originally pencil-colored?

>Team Medical Dragon
it's great

It actually highly rated on Sup Forums.

Probably Sahara Mizu's manga.

Probably Houkago Play, I never see anything about it.
>a 4koma ero
The madman

Homunculus
RRR

>those afterwords where he put down his friends' surprised and freaked out reactions because it just straight up became ero by the end of the first volume

And god bless him for it.

As The Gods Will

I think she falls down the stairs.

psyren's a lot of fun.

No translations for a good while doesn't help.

what ero at this point, this is a TTRPG series now (which i'm quite enjoying).

Like on this board or in general?
If in general I'll go with Tsugumomo, that manga get so much shit for it's fanservice while it's basically one of the, if not the, best ecchi series, and an amazing harem and supernatural/battle manga.
On Sup Forums it's probably wan-piss, it's not as bad as people make it look like.
Aldo this

Hell's Kitchen

Mostly underread rather than underrated, but Jiro Taniguchi in general is very rarely, if ever, talked about on this board. Haruka na Machi e (Quartier Loitain), Chichi no Koyomi (Le Journal de mon Père) and Kamigami no Itadaki (Le Sommet des Dieux) are his best works and what introduced me to the world of manga that stretches beyond the likes of Naruto, One Piece and Bleach that would completely monopolize the shelves of any book store.

Noramimi.
As far as I know, only Hox and I like it.

Considering it's a long running shounen battle manga, there is quite a lot of love on Sup Forums for One Piece.

Jiro manga seem difficult to discuss for some reason.

The live action movie was pretty cool .

Was there anymore after the 2 dudes attack the big bad? Or the other part with the kids that skip school that day.

I think what made Bambino so great too was the groups who worked on scanlating it did such a professional job, it looked fantastic all the way through.

The only thing that comes to mind is VITAMIN

or whatever it was called

I can't even remember what it was called anymore kek

part 2 is still going, but seems to be in the finish stretch. Part 1 kinda got integrated during part 2

Bokura no Kiseki.
No one ever talk about it.

Those were the best part [besides the cute romance]
The second volume's epilogue where he revealed Sharktooth and Senpai had a kid but got divorced was sad, though

Thanks for pointing him out, ill bookmark those three.

What kind of themes do his mangas cover?

jitsu wa watashi wa HELP THE TRANSLATIONS please.

this

i am not even gay but damn this guy is lovable

>succu-shortbut
fuckin kek
Love the art style of this one

Don't know about underrated but what the fuck is up with Aoi Honoo?
1 chapter released half a year ago and no updates since.
I watched the drama for about half of its length but I can't deal with that acting enough to finish it.

ehh it gets threads and the girls get mentioned in waifu wars arguments quite a bit

Astroid.
same author as Ultra Heaven. It's eyeporn.

It's mostly full-blown slice of life with a very sensible touch of nostalgia and melancholia. Subjects such as "memories", "mourning what could have been done" and "being at peace with yourself" come to mind. Kamigami no Itadaki kind of treats all those but with a twist as it's dedicated to mountaineering, with an overarching theme of dominating and transcending yourself. If you liked Kokou no Ito there's a very good chance you'll enjoy this one.

There's also some surprising stuff such as Kodoku no Gourmet. It's literally just a guy who goes around eating stuff at cheap restaurants ; or Aruku Hito, a dude who just wanders around the city and that's it. Both of them go on for several chapters and it's way more fascinating than it has the right to be. Taniguchi is very talented when it comes to writing about nothing, or rather what seems so to be empty of interest in general.

He's very popular in France, which is not that surprising as his works do have a very western feel to them even though they all take place in Japan. His main audimat are mostly older people that don't read any manga to begin with. An odd ball in all the sense of the expression, really.

not him but you've convinced me to check it all out, thanks user

All Rounder Meguru is one of the most humanist mangas I've read. It's a shame no one can be arsed to translate the rest of it.

Wait, it's in translation hell? I was hoping the author was just taking a long break.

Dammit.

Pic related is too underrated.

Where's a good place to read this. Can only seem to find part 2.

>no new scanlated chapters in a long time
>surely it's the author taking a break
You're this retarded. Also, it has ended like in April.

it gets posted in opts but I've been burned too many times by unfinished stuff to check it out

Not really underrated on Sup Forums, I see it all the time in OPTs. It is really good though.

I've seen it posted some times, but not as much as it should. It's not as good as Kokou no Hito, but still pretty damn good.

>authors can't take a long hiatus
>this guy must be retarded

okay bud

Anyone?

mangareader.net/kamisama-no-iutoori-fujimura-akeji

I was reading that version but it's "booby trapped" and has many critical pages missing from chapter 5. Not on nyaa either.

C'mon user, it's on nyaa and bakabt

ooh damn you're right.
Guess I kinda forgot when I read it..
sorry dude.

mangalife.org/manga/Kamisama-No-Iutoori
read it on there, didn't feel like anything's missing

Looks like a good version, thanks, user.

Thanks anyways, friendo.

Personally anything by Kouji Mori, D&R can be a little all over the place but I think SI and Holyland are fantastic although it seems most people who've read Holyland agree.

this. eden was a masterpiece and i looked forward to this but seriously nobody picking this up?

Check goddess in the future.

Great

This so much.

Easily one of my top 5 manga of all time.

I WANT MORE CHAPTERS FUCK, this Real and Vagabond.

Stop trying to sell me on a manga that gets less than one volume a year, I can't do this to myself any more.

SOMEONE SCANLATE THIS PLEASE

its well worth the read.

I like that for all the gore and violence it never seems to take itself seriously.
I just hope the author doesn't fuck up the ending, the dead people actually stay dead thing from the last chapter makes me hopeful for a non-bullshit conclusion.

Children of the Sea, Daisuke Igarashi's masterpiece.

Best get those shekels because scanlations stopped a decade ago when it got licensed.

We barely mention this. This is just pure art form. The scanlation takes a long ass time, fuck.

Takemisu Zamurai is almost entirely unheard of from what I can tell.

Takemitsu Zamurai, rather.

Aruosumente.

How the heck did Fujimura's art take such a nosedive in part 2? I almost thought it was a completely different artist. Did the transition from monthly to weekly chapters hit him so hard?
He seems to have gotten better lately, though.

>Team Medical Dragon
God, I need the rest of the manga scanlated now. There's only 5 more full volumes left to be scanlated, aren't there?

It's reasonably popular. I think that interest in Taiyou Matsumoto's manga in general shot way up after the Ping Pong anime.

No one ever talks about webtoons.

Not manga, and they are absolute trash.

I won't get a better opportunity to mention them.
Also rude. I like one leg.

>same author as Ultra Heaven
Sold. I don't even care what it's about, since Ultra Heaven was phenomenal.
