2nd GiG is almost 10/10 but this insert song is undeniably 10/10
I agree with this. It was far superior to the first season and was just overall brilliant. Even though its been said before, 2nd gig, cowboy bebop, logh, and mononoke are the only non-movie anime I consider to be 10/10.
>if you criticize me I will not respond, because I am too scared
For me, Kuze make 2nd gig > 1st gig.
It's great when the enemy have deep relationship with the MC.
>2nd gig, cowboy bebop, logh, and mononoke
Great taste, user.
You're right.
>Madhouse is ded for sure this time (still no good adaptation from last year)
>Mappa & Bones milking Fujobucks to avouid bankruptcy (I can forgive that)
>Sunrise went full Gosh, only IG can save Manime now with their Perfect Bones & LoGH.
IG could become the equivalent of Kyoani for serious & mature audience. But, looks like they doesn't realize this.

The first SAC was terrible, is 2nd GIG really that good?
>first SAC
>terrible
Can I watch SAC 2 without watching SAC 1?
You can, there's not a lot of carryover from 1st Gig, but why would you want to skip it? Also, you'll miss out on one of the best callbacks.
>You're that prick!
>10/10 anime doesn't exist
I'm with you OP, I just recently watched this for the third time and it still stands up 100%.
>that chopper pilot episode
>that major/kuze backstory episode
>that berlin episode
>that secondary character developement
>that soundtrack
>that principled antagonist who has a fascinating backstory with a legitimate philosophy who could just as easily have been the protagonist of his own series
And the plot with the refugees and Goda manipulating them into succession via Kuze and the Individual Eleven is only more prescient with the migrant crisis in Europe now.
Re zero is 3/10
just fuck off
...
That was one hell of a ride.
Some of the stand alone episodes in both seasons are a bit subpar for me to call them 10/10, although others (especially any of Batou's) are phenomenal. Main story in 2nd Gig is better but I prefer the 1st overall.
2nd gig is fucking amazing with a great soundtrack but what pisses me off is that the music that plays when the tilt-rotor gets blown up and when the bridge is destroyed is no where to be found in the soundtrack.
I am forever in search of the version of Gouda's theme that has the horns instead of the kazoo or whatever it is.
God, what a time that was.
It's a shame they went out of business, but at least they had a wonderful swan song.
>Rose of Versailles
I don't see why this is so highly praised. It was good and had some cool direction, but I was expecting far more based on the way Sup Forums talks about it. Is it just because it's historical fiction?

RIP Manglobe.
Yes amigo, it was, sorry to burst your bubble and invade your safe space. Get the fuck outta here.
whats wrong with the first gig?
...
Im curious as to what you think made it terrible. Like i understand enjoying something is objective and some people might not like it, but theres a difference between disliking something and thinking it was terrible.
I put the first season on hold. Does the first season ever get any better, or is it a slow burn?
You're right they don't. Only one 10/10 animation.
Laughing Man is a better villain than Kuze. The creepy intelligence officer guy was a big minus for me.
>Sunrise went full I don't understand.
Define better. Some of the stand alone episodes are very good at any point in the anime, but the overarching story kicks in more if you want that.
2nd GIG on the other hand is amazing all the way through and every episode feels relevant.
10/10 characters don't exis-
2nd GIG is far better, but i promise you that SAC has its quality increase towards the end.
IMO It's good that Kuze and Goda actually have some connection to the protagonists and a large overarching scheme you see built up over the entire season.
When I think back on season 1 the Laughing Man almost seems like a background character and every time we start to get some backstory memories get wiped and everything goes back to square one. Also the bait and switch with how there were actually two Laughing Men and the true villain was that politician that only has like 10 minutes of screentime the entire season was a big disappointment
What I like the most from 2nd GIG is how brutally honest they are with its political conspiracy. I think there is simply no way Kuze could have won. He's doomed from the start.
Unfortunately, while very masterful in execution, I simply don't see anything interesting from this show. First is probably because I'm a programming illiterate. I don't know much about all the technical stuffs in it. As for the political thriller aspect, I'm kind of cynical in the feasibility of a revolutionary event that resemble/was inspired by 19th to 20th century types of political terror and agitation, in the era of where cybernetics is so ingrained within society.
Maybe I'm wrong, it's been years since I last watched it. It's still awesome though, but I guess everyone already knows it.
10/10 anime don't exis..
>10/10 anime don't exis-
>Macross

They only make idols related anime now.
>10/10 manga don't exis...
>describing all the things that are good about it and calling bad
Might just be shit taste, honestly.
fuck this show, I've dropped 4 times and haven't passed episode 30, so many good ideas get ignored and the few that don't are introduced at the most random times.
Why have so many interesting characters if they never do anything.
I recommend anyone even remotely interested in manga to stay away from this. Nothing will ever compare after you finish it.
Call me a sucker for traditional narratives. I enjoy a payoff at the end of story. Goda getting his brains blown out mid-smug was satisfying. Seeing an evil politician so boring I completely forgot his name get arrested by unnamed policemen in the background wasn't much of a payoff.
It's a 4/10 at most, and I'm being generous.
>10/10 anime don't exis..
Finally, a true patrician
I tried watching the YKK OVAs, but even though I absolutely love SoL, it was a whole new level of "nothing happens". I figured it must only be as popular as it is because of the manga, but probably half the time I see it mentioned it's in reference to the OVAs so I dunno.
Tell it to me straight, user. Is the manga really the masterpiece of SoL on par with Aria that I've heard it described as?
Absolutely awful. An unfunny Konosuba with one tryhard shock episode that never paid off in the end.
It's the best manga I've ever read. Yes, there is a lot of 'nothing happening' because of the setting it takes place in. Its arcs can pass by in days and sometimes years.
It's about the twilight of humanity, and the passage of time. The relationships of the few that are still here, and every now and then a tiny vision of the past.
There are mysteries that are never answered, but they give the world a true mythical quality that make you wonder about its fate.
There are dozens of chapters where no one says a word, and its story progresses through vast landscapes. It makes you feel connected with such huge scenery, but does even more when characters connect with each other.
The OVAs are good, but it's impossible to capture the magic of the manga with such a small sample size.
Alright then, I'll trust you. Thanks.
Kuze didn't deserve to die like a bitch.
Literally this.
tfw three of your favourite anime get posted right away.
Bless your fine tastes mt brethren.
