Remember, the Syrian crisis happened because the Asaad regime (a close Russian ally) chose the Iran-Iraq-Syrian pipeline over the Qatar-Jordanian-Syrian pipeline. Russia and Iran would have had total control of the oil/gas market for Europe. Europe and the West could not ha ve this while being in such opposition of each other. It would have been likely that Russia and Iran would have immediately left the dollar and started a rival currency. Similarly, Russia and China had been floating the idea of a rival currency. Trump has pledged support to assist Russia in stabilizing the region.

Today has been weird! I live in central Colorado. Close to Denver, I70-corridor. Helicopters have been flying around all damn day. I have lived here for years and have never seen anything like this.
