Life changing books

What are the best books/authors I should read to enhance my intellectual development on the current cancer that is cultivating in the Western world (which covers many areas), Marxism/immigration/globalism/post modernism/multiculturalism/feminism – and their origins/goals/tactics/plans etc. This knowledge will help me be more unassailable to the left when I have incontestable truths and facts, instead of just calling them snowflakes, soyboys and muh Fake news.

The Bible and absolutely nothing else.

Would he still class himself as a socialist in today's current climate? The West is not like road to Wigan Pier anymore. A lot has changed since then and I think he would be wise enough to see that, and how capitalism (although not perfect) has completely transformed to world for the better in a way socialism never could have.

Read Chomsky and you will become a socialist.

What did you gain from reading the bible?

Read The Bible, then Iliad, then Silmarilion to best understand the progression of Western mythology and what we used to be capable of doing with language alone.

...

“There is a sense in which it would be true to say that one was experiencing a foretaste of Socialism, by which I mean that the prevailing mental atmosphere was that of Socialism. Many of the normal motives of civilized life--snobbishness, money-grubbing, fear of the boss, etc.--had simply ceased to exist. The ordinary class-division of society had disappeared to an extent that is almost unthinkable in the money-tainted air of England; there was no one there except the peasants and ourselves, and no one owned anyone else as his master. Of course such a state of affairs could not last. It was simply a temporary and local phase in an enormous game that is being played over the whole surface of the earth. But it lasted long enough to have its effect upon anyone who experienced it. However much one cursed at the time, one realized afterwards that one had been in contact with something strange and valuable. One had been in a community where hope was more normal than apathy or cynicism, where the word 'comrade' stood for comradeship and not, as in most countries, for humbug. One had breathed the air of equality. I am well aware that it is now the fashion to deny that Socialism has anything to do with equality. In every country in the world a huge tribe of party-hacks and sleek little professors are busy 'proving' that Socialism means no more than a planned state-capitalism with the grab-motive left intact. But fortunately there also exists a vision of Socialism quite different from this. The thing that attracts ordinary men to Socialism and makes them willing to risk their skins for it, the 'mystique' of Socialism, is the idea of equality; to the vast majority of people Socialism means a classless society, or it means nothing at all. And it was here that those few months in the militia were valuable to me.

>Chomsky

His father was William "Zev" Chomsky, an Ashkenazi Jew

PROTOCOLS OF THE LEARNED ELDERS OF ZION. READ IT AND AWAKEN. EVERYTHING WILL MAKE SENSE.

For the Spanish militias, while they lasted, were a sort of microcosm of a classless society. In that community where no one was on the make, where there was a shortage of everything but no privilege and no boot-licking, one got, perhaps, a crude forecast of what the opening stages of Socialism might be like. And, after all, instead of disillusioning me it deeply attracted me. The effect was to make my desire to see Socialism established much more actual than it had been before. Partly, perhaps, this was due to the good luck of being among Spaniards, who, with their innate decency and their ever-present Anarchist tinge, would make even the opening stages of Socialism tolerable if they had the chance.”

This doesn't seem like someone who would be okay with todays capitalism.

of course he would still call himself a socialist, but probably more the welfare, tax the rich type then the hurr workers must own everything type.

Nice copy pasta

>That would be classed as classical liberalism today

to build a foundation on

I have found a lot of Behavioral psychology books to be very beneficial. Mindwise, time paradox, difficult conversations, stumbling on happiness (misleading title). These will help you understand why people think and do the things they do and also help you communicate better with them you.

Did you even read what he wrote?

>any of the normal motives of civilized life--snobbishness, money-grubbing, fear of the boss, etc.--had simply ceased to exist. The ordinary class-division of society had disappeared to an extent that is almost unthinkable in the money-tainted air of England; there was no one there except the peasants and ourselves, and no one owned anyone else as his master.

Does this sound like a social democrat speaking?

They're the foundation for most of Western philosophy

i would recommend capitalism and freedom by milton friedman
what has goverment done to our money, by muarry rotbart
The power of concentration by Theron Q. Dumont
All books by nietzsche
And probably the origin of the species by charls darwin

yeah m8 also post that mega folder of 1000 ebooks, surely people are accually gonna read all of them.

>Why would you recommend starting with the Greeks?

All the communists have refferences to Ancient Greece.
Prometheus and Thersites was the first anarchists.

READ KIERKEGAARD
EVERY BOOK FROM HIM
EVERY SINGLE BOOK FROM THAT DANISH FUCKER
DO IT FAGGOT

The Bible/Christ quite literally saved my life. I was an absolute hopeless degenerate. I was redpilled, aware of NWO and every conceivable conspiracy. I took an entire year out of my life to re-educate myself and was researching ~6 hours a day on the extent of how bad this world is.

I fell into total existential depression and was suicidal when I realized I couldn't live an existence like this. Pizzagate and the realization the elites literally worship Satan set me over the edge.

I realized there has to be a Truth to this existence, because evolution, space and science all came from the same people who rape and sacrifice children to statues of Baal and Moloch.

I researched Christ and took him seriously for the first time ever, realized his existence and works are historical fact. I realized there is an explanation for why the world is the way it is.

I read the KJV Bible and basically broke down, repented and realized this was the indisputable Truth.

I was a hardcore, scientifically minded atheist my whole life. I humbled myself and realized I had been completely brainwashed, as we all have, and I did not know the truth. I now know Christ is the Truth and only Truth.

I am saved, at peace with myself, and can finally understand the world.

Read the Bible. It's the final red pill.

I don't think you are understanding how different things were back then. No one had any workers rights, many lived in abject poverty, there was no free shit for everyone if you wanted to be lazy. The poorest people in the West in 2017 (unless drugs/addiction etc) live better than 99.99999% of people that ever existed before he died.

Eternal salvation

naah, thats only what i assumed, thanks for the quote. He is still a retard and 1984 was incredebly boring, oh look he gets caught what a surprise, oh look they brainwash him, what a surprise, oh look he dies, whomst could have thunk that approaching.

Yeah...I don’t get it this was his experience in the “militia” so everyone being equal in the military then bred socialism?

Read this. It's pretty short. chomsky.info/government-in-the-future/

Chomsky goes over how libertarian socialism is the proper and natural extension of classical liberalism and compares state socialism, state capitalism, libertarian socialism, and classical liberalism

my most life changing time period was taking a (((great literature))) course required by my university

we had to read books by authors like frederick douglas, ghalib, kafka, etc and i just kept searching the author + marxism/communism before reading

really redpilled me on what was going on and taught me what to focus on

Using the same logic your saying Marx would be a social democrat.

Cool story bro. I have teetered on the edge a few times.

Meditations

>on the current cancer that is cultivating in the Western world

Without a doubt, Nietzche is what you're looking for. Maybe Aristotle and the Socratic dialogues if you want to understand argumentation.

Its great for dumb people, it gives them a meaning.
seeing all these depressed low life atheists really triggeres me, they critisise mormons etc. and are unhappy underachieving fucks, that dont have any meaning or direction in life.
Religion is opiate for the masses

It wasn't just the militia. He lived in actual socialism in Spain.

>Marxism/immigration/globalism/post modernism/multiculturalism/feminism

Those are vastly different things...

Marxism is dialectic materialism. Read Hegel and then Marx. Note that todays Socialists have very little to do with the original goals of Marx.

For immigration, read about the causes. Its mostly economic interests of the state and the upper class, to keep overall GDP growth in a tike when white people refuse to have 2 kids. As for the acceptance of immigrants and their culture, post-structuralism.

Globalismnis the logical consequence of market fundamentalism or neoliberalism: what is efficient must be good, basically. The dominance of macroeconomic logic over everything else.

Postmodernism is simply a more fashionable term for post-structuralism. The roots of this movement lie in structuralist ethnology and culture studies, as well as Nietzsche and Heidegger. Its very complex.

Multiculturalism is a Protestant or Enlightenment doctrine which guarantees tolerance as long as it is useful, for example, for the economy. Modern multiculturalism is influenced by postmodernism as well.

Modern feminism is basically post-structuralism.

I dig the Bible but people cling to it all so
Literal and bible thumpers ruin it for me

"you're"

We will never know. The world was a completely different place. The law of accelerating returns has completely transformed the world. Plus, he would have seen how every time it was implemented it failed and ended up killing over 100m. Pretty big pills to swallow knowing you caused that.

Oh so he saw how bad it was? I mean we just saw Venezuela so idk how socialism is even a thing in 2017

I don't think so cause none of the countries you are thinking of actually did what Marx wrote.

After WWII, every european country that matters had a sizable communist party in parliament. The European capitalist elite shat their pants and started giving more to the worker population to prevent communist revolt. The more they gave, the more the European communist parties faded in obscurity. Now the communist/"""social democrat""""" parties are back, demanding more gibs than ever. Will the capitalist give more gibs than ever, or will the commie revolution happen?
Stay tuned the next 2 decades for it will decide the distribution of money in europe for the rest of the century.

Venezuela isn't socialist. The government protects the right to private property. The economy is dominated by private businesses and the workers don't own the means of production.

There is not a shred of socialism in Venezuela.

Thanks for the info - I'll check them out.

That’s why they’re moving the refugees in for Gibs for the communist party. More poor refugees more gibs needed?

My life doesn't now have a special meaning to it. I simply understand the truth of my existence and am happy. Scientism and the current world-structure is actually opiate for the masses. I do agree organized religion and anything other than secular faith in Christ is for dumb people.

Believing in Christ means identifying the things that make you feel fundamentally good and at peace on a spiritual level and doing them. Those things are literally being kind to others, not stealing, not lying, and not engaging in sex and degeneracy that leaves you depressed and spiritually lost.

It's really, really simple.

Believing in Christ and God isn't religion. It's the truth. That's it. I don't go to church and no one commands me to do anything. Christ and God want you to be happy in this existence, and happiness will come through identifying what is good for you as a human being, and that is living in accordance to God.

Religion is opiate, I agree. Everything other than faith in Christ is wrong. All organized religion, Islam, Buddhism, Catholicism is all wrong, and I agree is for stupid people.

Faith in Christ and scripture is God's intention for you.

God bless you, do not fight the spirit of God if and when it comes to you.

Reading Programmed to Kill had a similar effect on me

Ok I’m wrong then I’m just following along here. So give an example of Marx Socialism View implemented or what the ideal platform looks like if not the socialism we see today

>he did not at the very least read the bible for knowledge historical social context

The stories of war and conflict in the bible have an important social meaning for people living today. Humanity has not changed biologically since it was written, so read the book you atheist, since it still has lessons for today. Better stil if you read it and believe it.

my dude that aint god speaking to you you're actually schizophrenic.

He said the meme!

yes thats whaat I mean, you found your meaning, and are happy, good for you.
already bought my king james version, will read soon, but you cant tell me most people read the bible for "knowledge of historical and social context"

Plato's Symposium made me understand that the only way one can aspire to be immortal and have a part of you live through time is through reproduction.

The European Social Democrats are weaker than ever before. In both your country and in mine, the Social Democrats are reduced to laughable shares of the voters. The working class now votes far right or refrains from voting altogether.

This is because the Social Democrats abandoned many of their positions and bought into the market fundamentalist doctrine.

That’s the “that’s not actual communism meme” I’m living in a paradox

Fuck off Karl Marx

Fucking clown world. May as well read The Lightning and the Sun

...

NOT

Ok so Marx was a retard and is probably taught in all the SJW universities I take it. Who’s a red pill philosopher who thinks the war is unavoidable and sometimes needed but isn’t full on We must kill all who are not like us. And also has a grasp On subjects like the benifits of Religion or Christianity even if you don’t believe in God.

I'm telling somebody on Sup Forums, in a book discussion thread, to read the bible for knowledge of historical and social context. By the very fact that you post here on a Thursday during the daytime, you are not a normie, and are actually intelligent enough to read the bible for knowledge of historical and social context. If you think genesis is corny, think by yourself: "what would the human authors of this book have tried to explain by this, and what is the underlying moral message and why?" That should be the way of studying of any religion.

Infinite Jest
The Bible
Schopenhauer and David Hume's philosophies

if you want to change on how you see the world, psychology is recommended, start with NLP.
Aristotel, Plato, Nietzsche, and so on are reccomemnded of course.

Dan Carlin good podast (not very political, its a good explenation of history though, lots of research)

RedICE very good stuff, expect you know that already though

obviously 'The Athrahasis'. If you want to start properly, start at the beginning. Sumerian tablet translations are patrician taste.

>Gods arrive at earth
>lesser Gods forced to dig the earth
>lesser Gods revolt
>Man is created to work for the gods
>Man profliferates enormously
>Gods attempt to wipe with disease
>Gods attempt to wipe with famine, taking away the rains from Sumer.
>Humans eat their own sons and daughters, yet still survive

?>? Watchers go with the daughters of man

>Gods wipe humanity with a great flood/dont warn humanity of impeding flood
>Enki, co-creator of man, orders a King to create a ship that can submerge
>King, his familiy, friends and animals survive and end up at mount ararat (arafat, old Armenia)

Has any Russian bro's read the Two Hundred Years Together
Book by Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn?

>A two-volume historical essay by Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn. It was written as a comprehensive history of Jews in the Russian Empire, the Soviet Union and modern Russia. He wrote in Russian of course but various publishers decided they were not going to put out an English version because they were Jews or frightened of them.

>Please sir, tell me the names of books that will confirm what already believe to be true.

Pathetic

This is a decent enough list of places where workers owned the means of the production. The ones to look into are Revolutionary Spain, Rojava, Yugoslavia, Ukraine, Soviet Union from 1917-1918. You can also look into Mondragon Corporation and the large number of cooperatives in regions of Italy.

Frenchie Redpilling

I fucking hate this image.

>Muh don't follow the politics of your online peers
>Tells you to read a series of books that are politically biased towards the left

Dude, why do you assume that we shouldn't kill everyone not like us? Rock yourself.

The Wealth of Nations- Adam Smith
The Meditations of Marcus Aurelius

>Dostoyevsky's The Demons
Responsible for 50% of my awakening
>Elite theory (Mosca, Pareto and Michels)
The only thing worthable in my PolSci course, because it really explains reality. Btw, Sup Forums should know more about Michels' Iron Law of Oligarchy.
>Clayton Christensen's Innovation Dilemma
>Albert Camus' The Revolt Man
>Eric Hoffer's True Believer/ The Ordeal of Change
>Bible's Chronics I and II
>John Kennedy Toole's A Confederacy of Dunces
>Ortega y Gasset's The Rebellion of the Masses
>Schumpeter's Capitalism, Socialism and Democracy
How old are you? 20?

in addition, i would further recommend 'Enki and Nihmah' for further details of the creation of man including an array of failed experiments

and Enki's journey to Nibru,
and Lament fof Eridug (Gods leave the earth and destroy all major cities)

What countries did you presume I was talking about exactly?

Those dates. Wow a whole year in most cases.

Are you baiting? It's the canon of political theory. Do you want it to filled with only ancap and fascist books?

user I’m just wondering what Philosophers actually believed that stuff user. By all means I’ll read anything that has view points and states reasons to why they are good. It was a question, on the other side what are some renoun philosophers who thought religion all together was a joke and That peace was the only way to thrive as a human species. It’s more fun if you match up the 2 sides anyway I don’t mind

Well you should be intelligent enough to comprehend the texts and not being brainwashed by them, they are valuable books for study.

Huxley in general. You don't have to agree with him, but you can't function in any discussion without being familiar with his major work. I suggest Ape & Essence because Brave New World is for normies pretending they're read up and woke. Start with Ape & Essence, then look around for a good sampling of other Huxley. Most of his stuff is short, he writes & presents in very concise terms, but it's also fairly densely packed with some of the most relevant topics we are living with today. You'll discover rapidly that a lot of the sewage published in the last 50 years is pale imitation and highly verbose regurgitation of Huxley's insight.

And, like I said, you don't have to agree with him. But you will have to really stretch yourself out to honestly articulate positions and viewpoints that are legitimate alternatives.

>Nietzsche
I always hated Nietzsche. He was a total moral relativist; which is what SJW's and roasties are. They all love him. Because EVERYTHING is relative. Oh and by the way, he drove himself mad, ended up in the nut house and killed himself. Best steer clear.

...

ROJAVA HAHAHAHA,

''democratic'' military dictatorship guilty of ethnic displacement and forced conscription in ''liberated areas'' serving Imperial ambitions of Israel and the USA.

they started the whole democracy thing and did it the best

See

Tbh I’ll just have to read a bunch and find my own favorite but not giving each side it’s time and attention would be only hurting myself

You said 100 million deaths which comes from the black book of communism. A book which includes no actual evidence and no historian would ever recommend. It's basically a dude fanfiction.

His family in general are worth Studying. His father used to debate constantly and was a huge proponent of Darwin's. Julian's is responsible for orgs like UNESCO and global education.

Yes, Ayn Rand. Good call, user.

Ayn Rand- Atlas Shrugged. Very good

I was looking at that to. My grandma is like Half Yugoslavian

Don't be fallacious you ignorant slut

>Give or take 20 million.

The Protocols of the (Learned) Elders of Zion.

The single most important book published in the modern era. It is the playbook the elite are using. It's predicted every major development of the 20th and 21st century.

It's the reddest of red pills. Ignore the anti-semitism and process what is being said.

Copy Pasta from /r/Anarchism/

Tell me, if workers owning the means of production was so great, why has it only lasted a few years or completely collapsed every single time?

>thinks the workers owned it instead of seizing it by force.

read more, get different perspectives user.
its about having a more complete world view.
even if youve read it and come to a conclusion that you disagree, you still have read it and come to a conclusion.
do you get my point?

hertz would share nietzsches opinion on relativity though....
