Mei doesn't want to end up "the MC's imouto is fine too" tier in Oka's eyes, nor does she want Oka to be in a one-sided relationship founded on regrets. If he doesn't love her enough yet to take it seriously then it's going to get stagnated and fall apart before he can love her. And even if they don't end up together, they'll be happier with whomever they do end up with that won't be such a one-sided love. Mei knows what she's doing to end it before they end up hating each other, far better than most teenagers.

I got the say. This is a pretty good arc. Normally, I REALLY hate it when the love interest gets together with some other guy because they couldn't win the MC Bowl and it's treated like a consolation prize. I like it that this manga is actually putting in effort into developing the secondary characters' love relationships after one of the MC's love interests had gotten rejected. Makes it actually FEEL like a proper romance.
