Here as part of a series I'm working on debunking alt right talking points on race, gender, immigration, and various other issues, I'm going to address several common alt right talking points you'll see floating around.
Alt righters are notorious for being able to spam misleading, out of context, and often outright false statistics and claims to further their narrative. Because of the Gish Gallop, many liberal and leftists can find it difficult to counter. Hopefully this can help put a stop to that!

Once we control for these factors, rates of violent crime among ethnic groups become approximately even. Of course, for a variety of historical and ongoing social reasons, blacks tend to be more concentrated in urban areas, while whites tend to live in rural areas and suburbs. The density factor is one that's very important to keep in mind, as the structure of modern day policing varies highly between a well-off town in Long Island and a dense metropolis like Upper Manhattan.
Examples of black cities and towns with lower crime rate than national average
Elmont, New York
Fort Washington, Maryland
Stafford County, Virginia, actually has a more affluent black population than white population, and a significantly lower crime rate than both Virginia as a whole and the national average
Bottom line: improve opportunities and living standards and crime will decrease. Case in point for differences in treatment of urban and rural crime: many crimes such as rape are notoriously underinvestigated in rural, white areas of the country

The only thing we need to know is that studies of racial differences are quasi criminal. If there were no differences then the Leftists in academia would have beaten us over the head for decades with study after study showing the evidence.

For 2014, the percentage of states' populations that were black accounted for 64% of the variance in homicide from state to state. This is because inner city blacks don't give a fuck about education and kill each other in gang warfare. Race/ethnicity is THE most important thing when it comes to predicting violent crime rates on a state to state basis. Not population density. Not median income. Not gun ownership rates. The racial and ethnic makeup of the state is it. Period.

27 murders in that whole state.
That's the thing with low population states, it completely over-inflates the per-capita crime. Imagine a state with 3 people in it, and one of them commits murder (kills one of the other two people). This state now has a 33% or 50% murder rate (depending on whether or not you count the murdered guy), vastly surpassing anything we've ever seen, including countries in Civil war.
