I've been a vegan for about SEVEN years. I mostly eat cooked produce and fruit. It's my main source of calories.
I don't take any supplements. I don't eat any imitation meat or dairy.
I don't eat beans very often. Edemame and tempeh sometimes if we're talking soy.
The highest protein food I eat is greens.
I never think about where I'll get protein. There's complete protein in all plants. It's just certain foods that have more of it. Like greens, beans, nuts, seeds, animal flesh and secretions.
