In 1913 there was a Norwegian scholar who came to the country to record Irish. He went out to the Blasket Islands in outside the Dingle Gaeltacht stayed there for a few weeks and went back to the mainland. He returned to the Blasket Island a short while later because the Irish in the Dingle Gaeltacht was too mixed with English. That was in 1913. What the fuck even is the language thats being taught in schools now?
