Reddit REEEs out this hard at the prospect of having to put their technology down and go outside

>Reddit REEEs out this hard at the prospect of having to put their technology down and go outside

Do you really not understand? I'm beginning to suspect y'all suffer from a rare form of illiteracy that allows you to write passably but prevents you from reading a single fucking word.

Why do you suck corporate chode so vigorously?

>can't even question the movement without getting completely censored
>funded by Soros
Maximum thinking

Yeah man let me go post my conservative opinion on Twitter and Reddit oh shot I m banned well at least I have my net neutrality!!!!!

Wait, plebbit supports net neutrality? Wtf I hate free and open internet now!?

>Everyone got tired of me smearing shit all over the walls and equipment so they banned me from entering, so I don't care if they close the gym or not

>tfw true red pill is supporting your favorite monopoly

someone explain this all to me

what side is Sup Forums on this time and what side is reddit on this time

Quote from faggot posting on the internet.

Same as always. Sup Forums follows its corporate overlords just like daddy trump tells them too.

this, trumpcucks are fucking pathetic

well the internet including Sup Forums is all degenerate garbage scum

what is wrong with stepping back a bit and giving people more of a chance to go outside

Well based on the shilling on Reddit and on your post it's safe to say he is probably on the side you should be on.

Hey lucky you, if you don't like those platforms, you can just make your own and run them in a better way. And thanks to net neutrality, you'll be on completely even footing as those big, established sites!

who are you talking about

i dont see how this issue affects me most people say they support net neutrality

Just imagine if all these bloated liberal shitholes start charging their users and lose their monopolies on social media. It would be glorious.

Everyone is basically on the side of 'fuck off' to Ajit Pai, but the reality is, that's not even relevant to us Canadian cucks; if you didn't know Rogers, Bell, and almost all other internet service providers already throttle certain http protocols.
Americans aren't yet used to losing their precious freedoms, and knowing the situation for most Americans' accessibility to more than a couple ISPs, and the raging capitalism they have over there means that if this net neutrality gets fucked, ton's of people will have to pay a lot more money to access they're favorite websites.

>what is wrong with stepping back a bit and giving people more of a chance to go outside
That's not the point. We don't want businesses telling us what we can and can't do. Do you really not get it?

Fuck you, Sup Forums has always been for net neutrality you newfag piece of shit

They're spamming every sub reddit. It's ridiculous. Just looking for Escape From Tarkov info last night and end up arguing with retards.

>corporation doesn't like Sup Forums
>throttle connection to it
>a good thing
fuck off

We're fucked in either scenario. Net Neutrality stays, the government now has the authority to regulate and censor any and every part of the internet it wants (Seriously, actually read the NN bill as its written right now).

Net Neutrality goes away, and monopolistic corporations fuck us in the ass. The entire internet backbone is owned by 3 companies in USA. Version, Comcast, AT&T. These "small" cable companies you see here and there like WOW and Charter? The reality of those companies is that they buy bandwidth from one of the three big companies and resell it to you. Its the illusion of choice.

Whether Net Neutrality stays, or goes, I don't fucking care. We're fucked no matter what. Its literally a choice between turd sandwich and giant douche.

If reddit is for it, then against it. Eat my pee, pledditors.

Without net neutrality those monopolies will just be even stronger as startups won't have the means to offers users equal access to their sites.

but consider the sheer corruption and filth and degeneracy the internet has wreaked upon us

why should i care if trump and corporations want to put a fucking cap on that

i dont even support trump but he seems to be doing the right thing here

For over ten years Sup Forums defended net neutrality until today the board filled with shills and newfucks who just want to be anti leddit

this isn't something to butt heads over, fuck that shit, our opinion on this existed before reddits actual inception

I don't give a fuck about your neutral burgers you piece of shit 56% mutt redditors. Leave this board alone, go shit up some other place like ebaumsworld or stormfront.

Should be supporting the FCC on this one. What is going on here is they are removing "Net Neutrality" rules that the Obama-era FCC put in place that is enabling companies like Google, Amazon, etc to have complete domination of the internet, censorship etc.
We are essentially deleting those rules and useful idiots and literal bots are pouring in by the thousands crying that the internet is gonna be handed over to corporations when that's actually what we're trying to stop. Net Neutrality won't die because it existed before Obama rebranded it as his corporate-govt takeover of the internet.
The sheer amount of autism over this issue shows what kind of power social media really has on people, because many have not even looked into where this all started.

>Without net neutrality those monopolies will just be even stronger as startups won't have the means to offers users equal access to their sites.

That makes absolutely no sense. The argument is that large sites generate too much traffic and cause a larger than their share load on the ISP so the ISP will charge them or the user for it. That doesn't effect small sites at all, you can't have it both ways.

>Sup Forums 2014
>let's save videogames/anime/internet/whatever

>Sup Forums 2017
>let's just watch everything burn

nice try shill, get out of here, shoo.

>ISP can charge large sites more than small sites

Hmm I wonder which groups will get preferrential treatment? The big, important clients that pay extr and who have a lot of users that will complain if they dont get fast access or the new, small site nobody cares about?

Not gonna lie former Trump supporter here. It's hilarious watching Trump crash and burn but in all seriousness we can't let this guy get his hands on the nuclear codes

From what I’ve gathered its mostly about Leddit wanting the NN to stay, meaning their is a governmental institute of unelected board members that are going to review all the shit ISP are doing. What anti-NN are saying is that the free market would fix it, seeing as new companies could underbid the current ISP and the their retarded schems.

The truth is somewhere in the middle since the major ISP’s in the states basically have a monopoly or are in cahoots with each other to fuck everyone over, the cost of laying new lines also seems astronomically high thus preventing new companies from breaking into the market anyway.
TL;DR: Reddit cries and they’re fucked until someone actually fucks over the ISP and their practices.

yeah because Sup Forums tards are totally social and outside all the time.

>wanting internet communism

Honestly I'd rather Sup Forums die taking the rest of the internet with it in one final act of autistic spite.

>all the commie fucks itt who want the government to regulate their bowel movements

Reddit has truly colonized this place, so who cares if verizon and comcast shut it down?

>Sup Forums is a hive mind
Fuck off libshits.

>he wrote, on Sup Forums.

This post perfectly exemplifies why no one here will lift a finger to help reddit

based pajeet cleansing the internet of americans

desu this argument is so convoluted and full of propaganda I'm just picking a side based on who I trust.

>google, amazon, Obama, facebook, netflix all blowing a gasket propagandizing me 24/7 about how important (((net neutrality))) is

or

>my isp

Yea, i'm going with my ISP. Fuck (((net neutrality))).

But you're american, you're ISP is most likely the devil.

>I have no idea how the internet is routed the post

I trust the free market and future tech advances (5g, 6g, etc) to guarantee a competitive and free marketplace over government regulations

Are you people fucking stupid? What happens if Bernie sanders becomes president in 2020 and another Charlottesville incident happens?

The fact that kikebook, Google, and reddit aka the biggest censorship whores on the net don't want this should be telling enough.

Comcast is greedy as fuck and will continue to be greedy but they've never had political motivations nor targeted certain speech/parts of the web like all 3 of the above have (and increasingly continue to do).

...

Why do you consider Reddit, Google and Facebook not a corporation?

Enlighten me then instead of just posting memes.

if reddit wants net neutrality then I don't

Considering that right now the bandwidth hogs like streaming services pay as much as the startup I'd say they already get preferential treatment, so why do you care so much if it goes away. Without it the cost for startups would just decrease

Low traffic doesn't effect them at all, the problem is they need to upgrade their shit for high traffic clients.

it's literally not a free market
complying with the rest of fcc regulations makes it impossible to compete with comcast and this won't change it, it only removes consumer rights

Fuck off, I support my favorite corporate monopolies.

I hope it passes just to piss them all off.

Generally wherever I go there is plenty of competition and reasonable prices. Never had a bad experience.$50 gets me anywhere between 300Mb and 600Mb down.

Meanwhile the other side of this argument is foaming at the mouth socialists and censorship happy tech companies.

Fuck (((net neutrality))).

I don't really care since I don't live in a 3rd world shithole like America where my internet gets censored

Yeah but the idea is without NN they can basically shaft small (low traffic) sites, prioritizing big ones at the expense of speed for the rest.

There is literally no reason to throttle low traffic sites, it doesn't gain them anything.

So the solution is MORE regulations?

ALL POSTERS IN THIS BOARD WHO ARE AGAINST NET NEUTRALITY WILL BE CONSIDERED AS A DIRTY SHILL OF THE JUDEN

Haha sums it up pretty well

Because he's a nu male to that would die without their shitty products so he does what they tell him to do.

Exactly. ISPs have had this power for decades and have never abused it. Only when people started streaming TBs worth of Netflix did they step in and want more payment.

If you look at the statistics, 78% of Americans have access to 3 or more ISPs

I'm in fucking Detroit and have like 5 legit choices

Yes, you do.

They wouldn't go out of their way to do it (unless they're feeling spiteful for some reason) but the reality of the internet is that during high traffic hours, for many areas there is only so much bandwidth to service requests. Right now it's pretty much first come first served, but without NN that may very well change to "paid more, first served".

But how will I be able to show off what I did last weekend without facebook!

when the fuck has this ever been a thing? It hasn't. And why the fuck are so many eurofags sticking their noses in these threads?

sure there is
they can charge more, like they did with high-traffic sites
they've done it before

remember how netflix started choking in 2015?

Well because if history is any example, the rest of the world tends to follow suit with what happens in the US.

Thoough given recent rulings, I actually have some hope the EU might stop this business around here, if only because they sure like fucking american companies and most of the internet big players (Google, Facebook, Amazon, etc.) are based in the US.

Also if Google and Facebook and other (((sites))) are against net neutrality then I'm against it.

Cuz muh free markets!

Everyone knows Government = bad, Corporations = good

Corporations care about us, trust me!

>I'm okay with being neutered and shot as long as people I don't like are also neutered and shot

Sometimes I wonder if there may have been some truth to the claim that Sup Forums is entirely satire. Atleast I honest to god hope so.

>BASED internet companies spend millions of dollars on a campaign to get reddit and other nu-sites behind Net Neutrality™
>these retards then come here and accuse people of "sucking the corporate chode" for not teaming up with Google, Facebook, Twitter, Microsoft, etc. to give the FCC the power to regulate the internet.

>reddit, google, and facebook
Without enforced net neutrality, those three are going to be the entire internet.

Jews want net nutrality because it's crucial the net becomes a subsidized cesspit of nogger propaganda viewed by normies who wouldn't normally pay for it. Net nu-trality is like a kike telling you 'please fund PBS/NPR,' because (((reasons)))

Retards, they wanted to charge netflix because they literally needed to build new equipment to accommodate them. There isn't a pool of bandwidth that the low traffic sites will lose out on if high traffic takes a lot, that's not how it works. That's how it works for you the end user when you're allocated a certain amount of bandwidth to use, not with the routing of the traffic.

fuck off soyboy and go lift some shit outside.

>Why do you suck corporate chode so vigorously?
Sucking corporate dick and worshipping money like a God is part of American culture.

What's with these slide threads coming out so intensely again?
Whos raiding us?

I 'member. Comcast held Netflix hostage by basically blackmailing them to pay extra or suffer slow speeds through their lines. Considering that Comcast owns 1/3rd of the nations internet backbone, it fucked a LOOOOT of Netflix's customers over.

> There isn't a pool of bandwidth that the low traffic sites will lose out on if high traffic takes a lot, that's not how it works.
It literally is though.
>That's how it works for you the end user when you're allocated a certain amount of bandwidth to use, not with the routing of the traffic.
Oh yeah and the end users always gets that allocated bandwith, right? Speed never drops during high traffic hours.

So you're saying we should pass net neutrality based on some "what if" shit with no real precedent?

>with no real precedent
see

Reddit supports net neutrality
Sup Forums is mixed

>being this fucking autistic
hand em over, goy

ooooh I 'member

voodoo voodoo voodoo voodoo voodoo >:)

Redditors keep bleeding about their fucking Netflix. NOBODY HERES GIVES A SHIT. NOBODY HERE CONSUMES JEWISH MEDIA.
Sup Forums is a think tank if they make it harder for surface web users to access the quality will only go up. If they sell internet packages based on sites they're only shooting themselves in the foot as less people pay for it. I swear fucking reddit has no concept of Capitalism.

Companies like Comcast had years to upgrade their falling apart infrastructure. Hell, they were even under investigation by the damn government for misusing the money that the government had GIVEN THEM NO STRINGS ATTACHED just to upgrade that shit. Comcast sat on the money, did nothing with it, then paid all that money out as bonuses to their board members leaving them with no money left to actually upgrade their shit. Comcast had to pay that money back. So Comcast not having the infrastructure to accommodate Netflix like Verizon and AT&T did is entirely on their own fat greedy asses.

>flag
(((net neutrality))) is a JEWISH proposition you faggot

Dumb question but: Shouldn't it become easier to have startup ISPs without Net Neutrality? If NetFlix is the monster, then can't there be startup ISPs that cater to people who don't use it?

At least while they grow?

The ISP doesn't care what you use your bandwidth on jesus christ. The problem was with high amount of routing requests not being able to be processed and bottlenecking.

And thats all this really boils down to. It's not about muh freedomz. It's about big data kikes like netflix and google trying to save shekels from ISPs.

>net neutrality outlaws arbitrary surcharging
>thinking the highest consumers of net traffic with the deepest pockets won't be charged first

Muhammad

See

the problem is getting access to the actual network infrastructure

Both sites are on the side of NN, except for the very loud and very obvious shills who think Trump can do no wrong and love it just because it triggers some people they dislike, aka children.

>implying net neutrality is at all in line with the spirit of the free market
yeah daddy government PLEASE regulate the internet as a utility for me, i'm sure this can never go wrong
