I think a Saki live-action could work, but the problem (the same problem that plagues most anime to real life adaptions) is that they're trying to imitate the manga/anime too much. It doesn't work with real people. Anime hair looks silly in real life and anime dialogue doesn't work either.
If they toned it down and made it its own thing it could probably work, but.

Main complaints: (1) it hasn't been broadcast everywhere in Japan [not seen in Nagano or Kansai]. (2) Taco is acted well but the actress is noticeably taller than normally depicted (3) Kansai dialect issues (4) no Kyoutaro (5) the actresses are cute, but not erotic enough
