I have always considered pol to be the place where intelligent, educated people go to talk politics.
I was wrong.
The fact that many of you think Net Neutrality is a good thing, shows how easily (((they))) can brainwash you.
Let me, an engineer and comp science major who works with a large East Coast cable company, explain why we need to get rid of Net Neutrality:
1) We shouldn’t have websites that can hurt us.
Right now, I can post a link here and people will click on it, getting a virus or directed to a CP website. We need our ISP to protect us from this!
2) Russia.
How are we, the most powerful nation on Earth, just letting the Russians hack our elections? If we stop Net Neutrality, we stop the Russians. FACT.
3) Finally, websites like Sup Forums/Pol which promotes Nazism and Antisemiticsm can be shut down.
It’s NOT about freedom of speech! It’s about protecting our children from being brainwashed into hate groups like the Alt-Right.
This is why in December, the FCC will push for a vote to save our children. Our future!
You know I’m right.
Zachary Flores
Agree. NN is a threat to national security.

Agreed. Sup Forums is a source of islamophobia and transphobia and it needs to be put out of its misery
Bentley Martin
I'm actually looking for reasons to say no to that lol
Angel Phillips
It’s good to see Canada posting the most logical, most intelligent reply, as always.
We love you, Canada.
We stand with Treadeau’s plan to reintegrate ISIS fighters into Canadian society.

Well, it’s hard to argue with Truth.

Carter Robinson
Day of the gym will come when leftists at time warner will shut down Sup Forums because its "unlawful"
Connor Barnes
Can someone explain what NN is and what it implies? Please if you are a nu-pol mongotard do not say shit.
Lincoln Thomas
It means that ISPs must treat all traffic equally. That is, the ISP can't concern itself with if this traffic is from Facebook or Netflix or whoever else. They can only concern themselves with the fact that it's traffic.
Basically, it's a regulation that prevents ISPs from telling you what to use your Internet connection for.
Nolan Reyes
Net Neutrality means absolutely no censorship online, which is why children watch porn and turn transgender.
We need our Internet Service Providers to censor hate websites that hurt us, like Sup Forums and Breitbart.
Aiden Garcia
build the wifi mesh. fuck all the central controllers.
Adam Thomas

Cooper Nelson
Bingo.
Follow the money trail, you foolish sheep.
Eli Johnson
Reddit is filled with this shit.
Josiah Thompson
right now all packets are treated equal, if nn is gone the ISPs can discriminate against sites, that might mean that google hast to pay its fair share, or that Sup Forums gets shut down for certain people. People say its a first ammendment issue, what i dont see is why giving private companies more power to cencore will do away with online cencoreship
great argument, if sorros was against war with russia you would also want to attack them?

The term "just and reasonable" appears 47 times. Can anyone give me a clear standard for what is considered just and reasonable? No, you can't.

No, I would not want to attack them. Of course you never know what the future holds.

thats the point, leftists can be right, leftist protesting the invasion of iraq or vietnam were cases were they were completely right.
Gavin Gomez
Fuck off. It's one regulation I actually agree with cunt. Who laid the fucking trans atlantic pipelines? You think they would sell service to lolbertarians?

Fucking hypocritical libertarian piece of plebbit shit.
You people literally have no principles and change your mind at the whim of my feels.
If you had principles you would be against things not by how they affect you but by how they conform to your ideology.
Christopher Bell
have you ever heard of the concept of maximising freedom? removing regulation does not mean increasing freedom.
Samuel Miller
>I have always considered pol to be the place where intelligent, educated people go to talk politics. Here was your first mistake.
Adam Lopez
I didn't say anything to the contrary. But I don't see very many leftists condemning Obama for his fuckup in Libya, his complacency with ISIS, and his love of drone warfare. That's neither here nor there. I'm talking about NN.
Liam James
Meant for you
Nicholas Hughes
Plebbit? HA!
You fucking idiot. I've been on Sup Forums since inception. I'm only posting because cunts think a world without NN is somehow magically going to be better the only thing better about it will be normies wont have to hear about fucking Sup Forums in the news anymore.
Fuck off cunt. The world is more complicated than simplistic strictly linear elements dumb fuck.
Hudson Fisher
If you don't know what it is, shut the fuck up and let the big boys talk.
Julian Jackson
Honestly getting rid of NN implies that there is something wrong with the internet as it stands today and that ISP are the cure for whatever that is. I don't think any of that is true. There is just no logical reason to get rid of NN right now.
Lincoln Smith
Type the holocaust isn’t real on Facebook.
Then American’s will listen to German laws.
Henry Cook
le quadruple bluff
Ryan Hall
well you posted reddit screaching and sorros funding, are those not meant to be arguments against NN? Just because leftists are dumb mutts that support obongo on everything doesnt mean its wrong to oppose republicans goint to war. us not having free speech will surely be fixed by your isps having the power to cencore, now you can be cencored by leftists on facebook and by leftists at atnt
Elijah Wilson
>world is complicated with nuances >laws can address nuances >lolbertsrian
I’m sure you’re for open borders too.

I actually really want to have a good discussion about this subject, can you offer some proofs of who you are so i feel like i can trust you ie.

Zachary Bell
Your sarcasm is subtle enough some people here will think you're serious.
Not everyone here would recognize "A Modest Proposal" as satire.
Nathaniel Hall
>believing you know the law >>hasn’t read the law enlighten me my fellow white friend
Gavin Cox
Ok ive read your post in its entirety and i believe i can BTFO you witha single question
What evidence or proof can you offer us that ISP's actually care about OUR interests, and wont just block everything they dont want
Austin Moore
I have Time Warner and no other options, so yeah... I can't wait to pay out the ass for a bunch of packages on sites I use.
Joseph Richardson
Oh jesus. Rhetoric at it's finest. No. I am for equal access to the internet.
Quite simple really. A nigger doesnt pay more for water than I do do they?
William Garcia
Who cares about cuckchan? p2p is the future
Andrew Morales
i have no idea what the words of the law are, i think i gnow the gist(?) of it. It sounds like a very vague regulation, dont know why lawmakers always write 20 pages full of nothing
Joshua Gutierrez
If you use more water you pay more.
That’s why municipalities have water meters.
Are you dumb?
Jackson Powell
You lost it when you said Alt-Right and left out Alt-Left. Fuck you and your high holy political bullshit, FACT.
Andrew Miller
You see the problem now? You see why people take issue? I'm actually taking the time to read the fucking thing and I get called a shill by the actual fucking shills.
Brody Bell
>google doesnt pay more then Sup Forums to use your example: oh you are buying water for the republican national congress? oh sweety the price just increased. doesnt mean you are right, you probably dont know the exact meaning of our speech regulations, you just need to know that speech shouldnt be regulated
Robert Thomas
Lol day of the gym. Glad to see the krauts still have a sense of humor down there somewhere
Bentley Reyes
Net neutrality debates are for brainlets. It's jews jewing each other over bandwidth and interconnection fees and you idiot goys eat it up. Retards.
Jason Hernandez
Can you explain to me why I would pay for showering as a service by water? I pay for access to public water. Why should I pay any fucking more if I choose to use it showering?
Jose Parker
I clearly asked for the conditions needed to meet the standard of "just and reasonable". I didn't say I was right. It's more ambiguous language within the text.
Owen Lewis
yeah and i responded that i have no fucking idea what the law accually says, i just roughly know how it is enforced, if you know the law so well you can easily proof me wrong I guess. But just because faggot leftists wrote a vague law doesnt mean the principles behinde it are wrong
James Gray
All I know is when big business gets what it wants, its rarely good for consumers.
The whole thing sounds like a way for them to charge as much or more to do less.
As for free speech, there is no stopping the end of it. All our rights are bullshit. They are claims to make us feel better as they find every way possible to take them away. If the elites dont like our lateral communication, they will find way here or some other way to criminalize it.
Look at this shit Twitter is doing. The end goal is to make sure there is never another Trump and to hold his account hostage.
The real motive, I believe, is money. Ive heard this explained different ways. One of them seems to translate into somehow making it even easier for idiots to get internet. Like smartphones, they have to dumb everything down to 3rd grade so niggers can use it and find more ways to blow money. I swear, it seems like they would rebuild the whole grid if they thought it would make Amazon another dollar.
And as for politics, make no mistake. If they decide the internet is too much of a threat to their perverted interpretation of democracy, dont think for a second the elites wont find a way for an 'accidental' black out when ever they need one.
The military has always had contempt for civilians and liberty. Thats what no one talks about. Wtf is a military but a cabal of armed government workers. You dont think they've studied China's internet and would like to see it here?
Ryan Bennett
You're dense. Again, I'm pointing out the vague Lang used. Yes, vague laws will be loosely enforced.
Logan Parker
but its enforced sufficiently, can ISPs discriminate against certain site?
Andrew Sullivan
As long as it meets the definition of "just and reasonable" I would assume, yes.
David Baker
>look I said it again so what the point? the law is too vague so you want to do away with it? make a new law without faggy language that states the same sure, but why drop the whole thing because democrats want to play shakesbear while making laws?
Angel Baker
FUCK YOU MOTHER FUCKER. WHY THE FUCKING FUCK WOULD ANYONE WANT TO PAY EXTRA TO GET WHAT THEY ALREADY HAVE RIGHT NOW. U FUCKING NIGGER FUCK YOU
Levi Price
If we make the internet more expensive there will be less niggers on it.
Dylan Reed
This is a scam. Obama shouldn't have never have to deal with the Internet to begin with.
Lucas Butler
nah dude the true elites don't really care about money, it becomes about power. ever wonder why the CIA rarely pays anyone off? it's cause somebody else can come along and pay them more. gotta find other methods of control people if you wanna maintain power over them.
elite don't want to black out the internet, in this day and age it's vital to them maintaining power. reason being is that it keeps the populace content.
when people cease to spend hours a day hearing what the elite wants them to as a form of relaxation, they will realize just how shitty their existence actually is. sooner or later, they will likely realize who is responsible for why they feel that way. and thats when things get real interesting.
Landon Richardson
Yes, I want to do away with it. But that's not the only reason. And I'd be against this shit no matter who wrote it. The phrase can be lawyered in many different directions.
Carson Scott
...
Evan Adams
>Right now, I can post a link here and people will click on it, getting a virus or directed to a CP website. We need our ISP to protect us from this! What about a service that lets household decide what they want to ban? >How are we, the most powerful nation on Earth, just letting the Russians hack our elections? If we stop Net Neutrality, we stop the Russians. FACT. Don't it go both ways? Do USA support Navalny? Maybe this is the new normal. >This is why in December, the FCC will push for a vote to save our children. Our future! Who will push the vote? WHich vote? aany links?
William Reyes
So could someone correct me if I'm wrong >Be FB, Twitter, various publicly-traded social media companies >Have millions of fake accounts >Have higher stock value because of perceived value
No NN
>Markets realize there aren't as many people paying for access to these networks >It's all inflated >Value crashes >Stock market gets hit hard as a domino effect occurs
Am I mIssing something, Sup Forums?
Mason Smith
so stop posting about the wording, why do you think big ISPs will uphold free speech values and not cencore anything they dont like? Some areas only have one provider, how will it work out in those areas?
Colton Campbell
ANSWER ME
Adam Edwards
Educate him you dummy
Carson Carter
Basically the big Jews at Comcast and Verizon wanna repeal this so they can charge you more based on what sites you visit, if you don't wanna pay they'll just throttle your speeds to a crawl
Cameron Diaz
stopped reading at 2) Russia.
It has been proven over and over how little they were relevant. I honestly believe you're not even an engineer and comp science.
>protecting children that is not our job its the parents job.
I know you're horribly wrong.
Nathaniel Cook
Buddy, we are being SWAMPED with shills right now. It’s not Sup Forums making pro Net Neutrality comments.
Google, Amazon, and Soros have ALL pumped money into “online activism” for Net Neutrality and they may be shilling for this harder than they shilled for Clinton because this effects their very own propaganda machinery and schemes. This isn’t even about their figureheads anymore, it’s about their means to keep disseminating their psyopses and their false flag operations. Without the current infrastructure and corporate systems in place, the liberal world is at risk of losin. EVERYTHING they’ve built. Their entire narrative strategy: GONE.
That’s why they shill so hard and that’s why they’re so afraid and want YOU to be afraid. They’ll call you a corporate shill or a braindead drone, but in the end they are only projecting the very thing they are on you. They can’t fathom change and reality hitting them. They want the status quo so bad they are willing to die for it. They fear the smaller businesses taking away the monopolies.
Andrew Phillips
NN is "splitting the pay", meaning that SpamKings, Youtube and Netflix can clog all the bandwidth making internet super-slow, and really expensive for users, because they don't have to pay for the bandwidth they consume. That's why jews want it that way. There is no "neutrality" because those Jews also censor everything that it is not SJW enough. When dealing with liberals and Jews, remember that the words always mean the opposite of what the dictionary says.
Alexander Cook
Net neutrality is a meme. It is much better when companies can block problematic sites, my ISP blocks Pirate bay and that benefits content creators and makes the world better. I bet a German like you will agree. Merkel is anti net-neutrality because with net neutrality then there would be all sorts of nazi propaganda which is illegal.
Jason Clark
Shut the fuck up shills, you have no power now that you've stopped spamming as many pro-NN threads
Isaiah Morales
>where intelligent, educated people go to talk politics. Just
Connor Torres
so make an argument against NN then, guilt by accociation is a fallacy for a reason. nazi stuff is plain illegal here, Im fairly sure we have NN, but nazi stuff is just against the law, and will be cencored that way >Private companies fuck us over >give private companies more power over the internet.
Jayden Parker
Not sure if reverse psychology shilling or just being fat
Jaxson Lopez
>make an argument against it Its promise of a free and open internet by companies that actively silence "wrong opinions"
Jacob Sullivan
Lol, not at all. USA is the only moron country to have their cables in hands of private monopolies. This can be fixed with laws. But that this has not already been done should be no reason to let the abortion of NN stay alive and keep fucking you. It is actually worse, because if it is not shoot down now, it creates legal precedence and it becomes harder to shoot it down later.
Josiah Reed
>We shouldn’t have websites that can hurt us. >Right now, I can post a link here and people will click on it, getting a virus or directed to a CP website. We need our ISP to protect us from this!
He who gives up his freedom for security, deserves neither.
