Say what you will about the catholic church, but this is the sort of thing why I'm against protestantism as a principle. Protestantism is basically liberalism as applied to religion, in that it's a rejection of natural order/hierarchy. Yeah, when you start looking into it and you start seeing all the strange blurry lines. For example, the most extreme example would be how the Mormons insist that they're a form of Christianity, even though their theology is completely different (it's akin to calling Islam a form of Christianity). And then you have the groups that reject the trinity like Jehova's Witnesses and (((Unitarians))). And then it gets worse from there to the point where you essentially just have feel-good hippies who don't believe in anything at all but still nominally call it christianity.
