How do you feel about this studio?

How do you feel about this studio?

my favorite studio since i watched SZS in 2010

they make the best toothbrush porn

Feel like I get shafted every time I watch their shows.

limited

No other studio can compete with it. Literally number 1

I wish there was some kind of contrivance that would force them to make another season of SZS which covers the ending.

It's not for everyone.

Studio war general.

Good studio, obnoxious fans.

Erectile

I swear her tits in Kizu are fucking double the size of her tits in Bake
not that I'm complaining

I love Shaft and I cannot wait to see their latest masterpiece next week.

redpill me on *monogatari

are they actually worth watching?

ive seen countless shaft shows but never paid attention to them

If you're ESL you will struggle to keep up with the subs.

3-gatsu no Lion actually had more discussion in the manga threads before the anime started up, which is really weird to me. That hardly ever happens.

Fujiyoshi's VA passed away last year due to illness.

Shit. Every work by them post-SZS is shit. They compete with DEEN and TRIGGER for worst studio.

>Every work by them post-SZS is shit.
Katte ni Kaizou was not only by the same author, it's literally a stealth season of SZS. Give that a look.

>season
it had to be 5 episodes at most

shame joshiraku ended up being just average but the manga wasnt too special either

What is the objectively best work by Shaft? Without taking your feeling into this.

I think it is either SZS or Bakemonogatari.

bakemonogatari is shit

The second best studio behind KyoAni.

Owari

>Without taking your feeling into this.
I don't get what you mean by this. I don't like Nisio Ishin's stuff period, am I not allowed to take this into account?

ZSZS for me.

Madoka
prove me wrong.

Pani Poni Dash

I'm talking objectively here. Production value, music, art, etc.

If we're going to take feelings into account a lot of people are probably going to say stuff like Monogatari SS solely because snail dying

>Production value, music, art, etc.
Then none.

madoka

>production value
>shaft
???
??????
?????

For fucks sake. I'm asking what is Shaft's Magnum Opus.

3-Gatsu is nice, there's just not that much to talk about with it. I am impressed by how Shinbou is mostly managing to hold back on cramming all his usual dopey visual knacks in there (necksnap head twists, random solid color backgrounds, etc) all the time, though it did start to pop up in last week's episode a little so who knows.

ii like SZS and the monogatari . i don't like madoka ! those are my favorites studios
sunrise>GAINAX>bones>I.G>madhouse

>likes monogatari
>has shit taste in studios
pottery

So much this. Like everything else good in this world, the worst part of anything is the fans.

Shaft has good shows, all in all. Sayonary Zetsubo-Sensei has goofy dark humor, Hidamari Sketch is comfy as fuck, and Popotan makes my dick diamonds.

I think what people dislike is Monogatari and Madoka becoming obscenely popular shows, shitty release schedule for Kizumonogatari, and Nisemonogatari being largely pointless

fuck off kyoanifag you are the cancer of this board

They're very hit-or-miss when it comes to the experimental works they've come to be known for.

Obviously SZS, Hidamari, and Monogatari are very acceptable. A lot of their other adaptations are fairly lacking, lazy, or just boring.

Mahoro was cool but had a hard time balancing comedy and drama.

Madoka was great while it was airing but it feels like it's kinda fallen apart, especially after Rebellion fucked up the ending. Kajiura's compositions, Ume's character designs, and Inu Curry's visuals really carried the series. Once you look past the production values it's not all that amazing.

Esl?

>sunrise
>better than anything
Almost had me there, user.

English as a second language, aka the sort of shitposters you see in Dragonball threads.

I don't like KyoAnus.

Reminder.

Unironically Madoka by virtue of Monogatari already being a successful LN and being hard to fuck up. With that said, I wish they would move beyond MadoGatari.

>I wish they would move beyond MadoGatari
No one cares whenever they try to do this though

madoka is for yurishitters
monogatari is for teenage boys with sensitive penises

it what sells. it couldn't be helped.

Considering Sup Forums just lied to itself and claimed they went completely bankrupt a few hours ago I have no idea. What were you looking for another shitpost or something? Too bad I guess someone else will have to do it.

When is it going to be aired?

Honestly if you take it's dreadful fanbase away while anime has it's issues right now it's so much more tolerable as a thing. Shitty loud obnoxious whiny fanbases are ruining every medium at this point now thanks to social media and the apparent need to always have something to bitch about.

I can agree with that. Even at their worst Shaftfags aren't as bad as, say, the Steven Universe fandom. It's just Monogatari quickly turning into shipping wars is mildly annoying

Just read the doujins instead. I'm dead serious.

It seems like they are making a slight effort with Sangatsu no Lion, Fate/Extra and that upcoming movie with TOHO that'll be their first non-Aniplex project since Koufuku Graffiti which somehow feels a lot longer ago than 2015.

It's gotten ridiculously one dimensional out of SHAFT for sure in the last decade though and they do need to prepare themselves for when the time eventually really does come that they do one day run out of Monogatari (even this feels like it's just barely banking off the backs of fanatical loyalists at this point and only generating periodic BD revenue for Aniplex as a publisher and no renewed interest in SHAFT itself as a brand) and Isin stuff to adapt cause right now it's not them but that 3rd party brand clearly carrying the studio's recognition and shaping it's entire 40 year identity. Even with Sangatsu they're just struggling to get any sort of mainstream market penetration or variety going and that's a hugely popular one where the manga continues to do well and no doubt the live action adaptation will be a success so it's not going to be easy to get them back on track at this rate.

...

Madoka is clearly going to just be another Aniplex cash cow type thing at this point with no real direction or purpose beyond trying to hit up on what's currently trendy with otaku. They only seem interested in trying to monetize it through an upcoming mobage, even switching out Claris for theme song for their new label they're trying to push in Trysail. No shits are given beyond this it seems nor even since the TV series ended as Rebellions shit show of a script proved.

This is basically the fate that awaits anything that becomes a hit through an Aniplex type company. First work is decent, everything beyond that is just trying to cash in on what producers THINK made it successful and well received.

What did Kyo-ani mean by this?

Unironically my favorite studio.

Literally anything can be turned into shipping or studio or console wars and for some reason the people that engage in this stuff are allowed to totally dominate the conversation of any thread they enter virtually on any forum (it's not just Sup Forums that has piss poor moderating, forums just seem to have stopped trying to keep the idiot shitposters out or at least muzzled, even places like Something Awful where it's the entire purpose of the site) and be complete shits about it all the time. They also enjoy trying to put it back on people telling them to fuck off with it and shitpost with more people that care in proper containment threads.

If at any point the apparent "fanbase" and industry feels like getting serious with this stuff again instead of just being complete shitheads about it on the internet all the time and borderline enabling this sort of behavior with the content it produces respectively I'll probably take it more seriously as a hobby again but at this rate I feel like I'm going to be waiting a while on that sort of thing.

You need to like dialogue and banter. This is what shines the most in the series. That and the couple lewd scenes.

As long as it still has Inu Curry I'm okay with it

The cast in that was just not as likeable as the one in SZS
