All their songs are about love and dates and liking someone or being liked by someone

>all their songs are about love and dates and liking someone or being liked by someone
but
>they all go to an all-girls school
>they never express any interest in any boys (though they do admire some famous musicians, though it is never implied that the interest is romantic)
>they are never seen going out on dates or even trying to get dates with boys
>don't even talk to any men besides the guy at the guitar shop, never gossip about boys, and don't even look at boys when out in public

I could go on, but I think you get my point. What was the deal with these girls anyway? Were they just writing songs they thought would go over well with other girls? Did the songs mean anything to them?

In S1, Ritsu did get that letter from Mio, and she assumed it was from a secret admirer. That made her all sorts of flustered, which is interesting, but she never talks to boys at all, so did she really think it was from a guy that saw her one day or something? The only male she talks to regularly is her brother, and maybe her father.

Maybe they just didn't want to focus on romance at all in this show. Which is good since that would just ruin it.

It's haremshit without the MC.
Since the MC is the only potential romance option in all haremshits, removing him nulls all the romance options altogether.

But then why not have the girls sing about something besides romance? It's a really jarring contrast when you read their lyrics and then watch what they go through in a typical day. If you just listened to them sing, you'd think they're all out there picking up guys and having fun and partying while in real life they just sit around and study or eat cakes.

It's for (You) user, they'll date you.

uhh HTT have plenty of songs that aren't about romance

Obviously they're all lesbians

And only half their songs were about romance

It's almost as if all their songs are actually about different things and you're complaining about nothing.

>In S1, Ritsu did get that letter from Mio, and she assumed it was from a secret admirer. That made her all sorts of flustered
>The only male she talks to regularly is her brother, and maybe her father.

I think you could be on to something there.

This.

Yui's lyrics are about food and all kinds of stupid shit. Mio is the only one who comes up with romantic lyrics among all the fluffy puffy marshmallow stuff.

Onii-chans and otoutos, user. Onii-chans and otoutos.

Ritsu and Mio are into boys.
Mugi and Azusa are into girls.
Yui only cares about food.

You can see Mio and Ritsu throughout the show wanting to go on a date with a boy but for some reason, the author nor KyoAni gave them a boyfriend. Obviously because they knew it would rage the fanbase.

It wasn't the point of the show and it would've distracted from the focus on their friendship. Avoiding it altogether was the right move.

You're telling me that Gohan wa Okazu was about dating?
Mio songs are about love, Yui songs are about food and Mugi song is about fun

Who the fuck actually reads the lyrics lmao

What else do you think high school girl bands write songs about?

Most high school girls actually want to date boys. The Keions seem to have no actual interest in boys. Just saying.

But Ritsu and Mio are into each other

Nice head canon.

If they got boyfriends, I'd set myself on fire and would probably be able to extinguish the flames with my salty tears.

Non

Okay, show me the chapter or episode where they say they are interested in a boy or would like a boyfriend or even talk to a male (asking for directions or if the man is working and they're asking for some sort of service from him do NOT count).

See
Because they didn't straight up address it doesn't mean it didn't exist. The songs are proof of their yearning for romance, not the other way around.

It's only Mio the one with the songs about boys and stuff. She wants that kind of teenage love.

This

>Ritsu gets a letter in an all girl school
>She thinks it's a love letter
>Gets all flustered

And it's basically scientifically proven that Mio is all over Ritsu, thus the probability of them ending up together is high.

It's kind of sad that artists and authors working in a medium have to censor themselves as to not upset their own audience....

>Because they didn't straight up address it doesn't mean it didn't exist. The songs are proof of their yearning for romance, not the other way around.
I never said they weren't interested in boys, I said introducing romance would change the show's focus. They're in an all-girl school (and university) so they wouldn't have to deal with that.

You're right, they should write about the EZLN and the plight of the indigenous people in Mexico.

My wife

Because their songs are actually written by a professional team who wrote them with maximum marketability in mind and to promote a few of the VAs looking to break into the music industry.

And it worked.

Was this a reference to Léon or not?

>all their songs are about love and dates and liking someone or being liked by someone
Unless you happen to be David Bowie, either that or death are basically the only things you'll really allowed to sing about.

So aside of Mio, Jun and Sawako, who else wants the D in HTT?

>series finale
>all girls reveal they actually had secret boyfriends
>mass otaku suicides
Better?

Mio kept crying about never getting a husband because of her embarrassing moments

Mio writes the kind of songs a high school girl would write, either because she is good at playing her part or because she really is totally normal. It's about boys because that's what pop singers sing about and she is being a pop singer

>watching K-On for the music
That's kind of like saying you watch porn for the story.

Fuwa Fuwa Time and I think U&I were written by Kakifly.

>the worst song is the one not written by professional pop music writers
That would explain it.

Then there's this motherfucker

>boys
>men

This is where you get it wrong

>implying implications

This is what happens with design-by-committee. Every girl was cynically designed to pander to a niche.

Logical inconsistencies like that are just part of the territory.

>This is what happens with design-by-committee. Every girl was cynically designed to pander to a niche.
But that's fucking wrong you retard.

No one else, the rest of the girls are actually pure.

You see, that someone that they're referencing in their songs is supposed to be me

What does your favorite Keion say about you?

>all their songs are about love and dates and liking someone or being liked by someone

And? It's not like you can only love boys.

Don't be lazy
I'm trying god dammit

>ching chong nip nong

Daisuki

Ritsu.

No. It's a reference to Mugi being my wife.

Yui
>fancies himself taking care of his waifu, wants her to dependent of him
>likes fluffy cuddles

Mio
>more of an average-ish guy
>like Yuifags, wants to be depended on, but this time as a shoulder to lean on
>likes teasing

Ritsu
>wants a fun active lifestyle
>likes the idea of his waifu having a side to her only he gets to see

Mugi
>has lower self-confidence so wants a girl that will accept him
>into more lovey-dovey couple stuff and nice strolls together
>wants to called "anataa"

Asuza

>likes cute things especially
>will take months to get past missionary in the dark
>values being a reliable partner

What is it about k-on that attracts the autismist of autismos?

Because the main character herself is an autist.

>they're all Asian
but
>they don't look Asian

...

RATM with high school girls when?

>they're all asian
>they don't even look human

>Lilly still best girl
Everything else is forgettable.

You have restored my faith in humanity.

Well as a musician, and personally, I'm one of the least interested in romance because I've had such bad experiences with it that I just don't care about pursuing it. But theres days when I write love songs because it makes me happy, or reminds me about someone, or I just feel the need for that song to be written. I'm sure they just write songs like that. Christ I'm only realizing now how autistic this whole thing is but whatever.

There's nothing autistic about it. People write songs about their feelings, that's what human beings do.

Hell, I think K-On is probably one of the least autistic series since the plot lacks definition and requires you to understand other people's emotions.

i could help by cumming on you

unf

Would smash

Don't

BUT I WANNA

these girls don't know love yet

great doujin btw

Jesus Christ the dubs are grating on the ears.

This is the kind of shit they show terrorists at Guantanamo Bay.

There's a dub?

They were just going to fold Jun and Ui into the band after they graduate, weren't they? How would that ever work? Three guitars? A horn section?

Yes and it's horrible.

youtube.com/watch?v=DOta_f_9uoU

I liked University and High School, but this plot with Nodoka really gnaws at me.

*Unresolved plot

Also Yui looks great with long hair (and like her mom).

What songs are about romance?

...

Just about everyone Mio wrote.

So basically Nodoka lies to Yui about meeting with her parents. Her comment about "never looking back" makes me suspect that Yui didn't keep in touch with her at all.

That sucks, I like Nodoka. She's too good for Yui.

Also, while I'm on this tangent: what the fuck is Kakifly doing?

I'd rather have Kyoani make another season, but they're not going to do it then I'll take what I can get. What the fuck do I have to do to get more K-On?

Yui is too autistic for romance. The girls probably protect her from getting close to guys because they know she'd be too easy to molest.

She's not autistic, she's got ADHD and a very kind heart.

Her and Ui are both savants, but Yui can't focus long enough to make the best use of her gifts.

Also, if the girls have never been to Sawako's apartment, then where did she take Yui for vocal lessons when she was a freshman?

A love hotel.

That would be glorious

I'm guessing they probably did it at school during off-hours or something.

I'll allow it.

written=/=composed

It's easy. The sex scenes happens offscreen.

True, I think he only did the lyrics.

No matter how hard /u/tards cry, the girls like to suck dicks

>Yui's lyrics are about food and all kinds of stupid shit.

Ui is not a stupid shit!

Mugi is pretty much a lesbian. There's a reason why she picked an all-girls college. Azusa could go either way. She's got a thing for Mio.

It depends on how much stock you put into the manga - the show doesn't really directly contradict any of it.

As others have said, I can only see Mugi being a lesbian. The others are all straight.

In short
Mitsu
YuiMugi
UiAZu

Read Fanfiction

>least autistic
>requires you to understand other people's emotions.
Different user here. Anime in general is *perfect* for autists because it's actually super-duper-easy to "get" the emotions when character's facial features are reduced the most expressive parts and then exaggerated on top of that. I'd have A LOT less problems if reading body language was this easy IRL.

>K-On Season 0: Death Devil prequel
>K-On Season 3a: High school
>K-On Season 3b: College
>K-On Season 4: Yui becomes a student teacher at their old school and advises a new band. The season culminates in all the various bands playing at Mio and Ritsu's wedding.

In general, yes cartoons are easier to read. I just think K-On isn't the easiest among them.
