I have worked in several industrial fields and all I can say is this. They are horrible workers. Their work is sloppy and inferior. They are obsessed with picking holes everywhere they go. They are obsessed with competing against other women and get furious if you don't try to dominate them.

They are not our equals in a linear sense (physical strength, engineering ingenuity, leadership and so on), but a good woman is an equal in her own ways (fostering communities, creating beauty, nurturing). Depends on the woman/dude. I work at UPS. I had one supervisor who was a total waste of life (rude, lazy, didn't put in any effort, complained, she was black and was only helpful to other black employees and rude as hell to white ones). Eventually she left to go to a different company.
I have another supervisor who works hard all the time, and she is relatively nice to everybody and competent. They're both black, so it isn't about race in this case.
Some people bust their ass out of habit and some people are just incompetent and lazy. I haven't noticed a "women are lazy" trend that is true for all of them. Perhaps upper/middle class women are different. It certainly seems that way from what I see in colleges.
Women really only compete against other women when there is a man involved. And then they get really intense. Without a man involved, I've noticed more cooperative/submissive attitudes from them.
One thing that is true is that women can't handle interpersonal conflict very well. An alpha man will deal with conflict by ignoring or professionally shutting down the person that's attacking them, and won't "burn the bridge". In other words, he wins over his subordinates, and can discipline and motivate them while maintaining their respect (of course, I'm talking about a GOOD leader here, as there are plenty of truly terrible male leaders).
I think women find it hard to discipline/motivate other men while maintaining a respectful attitude. They escalate too quickly and come off as insecure, which is reasonable due to the size/aggression difference between men and women. It is extremely rare to find a woman who can discipline and motivate like a leader while maintaining respect. It's rare to find a man who can do that, let alone a woman.

I work in a large supermarket and the vast majority of the workforce here is women.
It varies, some of the ladies are absolutely tireless however I find all of them are completely adverse to any technology and the second something breaks down or becomes complicate they throw their arms up in the air and stubbornly wait for a man to fix it.

Glad I left, that place was fucked up.
On the whole, based on my personal experience as someone that has worked since 2009, I believe women can be good workers, but they must not be in charge of anything.
