Is Inuyashiki good? Or will I hate it if I hated the direction Gantz went?

It showed promise at the very start, but turned into hot garbage way faster than Gantz.

Not OP but really? I hated Gantz for the same reasons but this here looked more rational and the idea was pretty good.

Its good when it is about the old man daily suffering and beating the shit out of the edgy kid.

Literally half the chapters out are about some edgy kid going around shooting cops and civilians. Not enough old man.

You'll like it *because* you hated the direction Gantz went. The 'edgy kid' that everyone mentions exists so that he can suffer and have the shit kicked out of him; he's not treated as a positive in any capacity.

It's probably because building up a super villain is more fun. The old man story is just happily depressing.

They clearly try to humanize him, followed by a bunch of chapters of him going on a killing spree with little dialogue. That shit is too drawn out.

Well that sucks.

Did you miss the part where he gets exploded, then has his arms and the back of his head ripped off?

Lemme guess... Oku entices readers with girls with big tits, and then it turns into ridiculously depressing bullshit filled with Oku's pretentious nihilistic philosophies that he tries to shove down the readers' throats. Am I right?

>girls with big tits
I went into Inu expecting this and got some old geezer instead.

An elderly salaryman is horribly abused by his family. He tries to reject the fact that they don't care about him, but is unable to continue to do so after he is diagnosed with terminal cancer and none of them can be bothered to pick up his phone call from the hospital. He's a horribly weak, shaky man who has seen countless injustices in his life and has always been too weak and afraid to do anything about them. This leads to him not being able to tell his family about the cancer after he returns home. He goes off into the night and sobs while musing about his life, eventually ending up in an empty park. He and a teenager are the only two people there. They are both killed by an alien ship accidentally crashing into the Earth, and their external bodies and personalities are 'reconstructed' by the aliens; their internal bodies are the only substitutes which were available at the time: nigh-invulnerable war machines, with extraordinary powers beyond fighting. The two independently grapple with what it means to be alive, as they both "died" in the crash. After resolving a great many conflicts of injustice, the old man realizes that his life was never a waste, that he *is* still 'alive'; and that everything which he has experienced was necessary in order to produce the man that he is now, who can accomplish miracles for humans around the world.

So, no. Nothing at all like your half-assed prediction.

There's an entire short arc about him becoming good and living with the girl, before things turn to shit again. Instead developing the story, we ended up with the WolfGuy of kill spree.

>Inuyashiki

I don't know but with the shithole that noitaminA has been I'm expecting something either dreadful dull and boring or something off the walls and retarded as all shit.

Is the dog an Ayyy?

It was supposed to be similar to Falling Down, if you're familiar with that film. Just read the top panel here.

I am kinda interested in this one but I guess I'm gonna wait till this is finished and read it then unless it turned into an almost-endless series or exaggerated abstract shit again.

When does evil teen appear chapter-wise?

>literally no explanation about the robot shit whatsoever after 70 chapters
>it's just shock value to more shock value
>the whole thing made from shitty ass real life photos with art lazily drawn over
Why is this allowed?

Is it gonna be all-3DCG?

Appears at the end of the first volume and starts doing shit in the second.

He could draw good porn. He should.

Yeah, Old Man is awesome.

Thanks.
I could swear I read the entire volume but it seems I dropped it faster.

The pacing was a bit off at times but I agree that the overarching story, as you described it, was really good.

It reads super fast. Just read it.

It anime it will be probably done much faster

Who the fuck is gonna watch anime about old fag?

Well its being made by Mappa, and Mappa has been on a roll lately with some hit shows, so I'd say people would be willing to give it a shot.

Old man vs yakuza is amazing.

Amazing & heartbreaking at the same time.

The newest chapter was fucking great, even with the tracing/photoshop it deliver some great moment for the old man. Will the edgy kid turned mega edgy kid? I kinda dread on how it will go but I'm guessing alien ala gantz is in the pipeline, hopefully a better written one though alien doing what they think right with usual cliches wasnt wrong too.
