Everyone getting revived wasn't particularly surprising. The relatively cheery mood in the first half was too different from the dark stuff in the second half for the dark stuff to really stick to the end. What was bullshit was that several characters who were just shy of being full on villains by the end somehow getting all their bad shit swept under the rug (shitho, lesbian rapist). After all the shit they pulled, their relationships with the main characters basically stays the same, and no one even looks at them slightly differently.
