How do we avert the coming environmental collapse?

How do we avert the coming environmental collapse?

You mean Yellowstone?
Good luck with that.

Depopulate the African continent

Rockies are brown from pine beetle devastation. When that shit catches on fire, people in the Midwest won’t be able to see three feet in front of themselves

What rules us now is a soft-headed, mushy, egalitarian, feminine sort of altruism, where we are more inclined to feed the starving picaninnies of Africa than to take account of the fact that every picaninny who doesn’t starve to death now will grow up to breed more picaninnies. We feel sorry for the disease-ridden Blacks and Browns of the world, and instead of keeping them and their diseases strictly confined to their part of the world, we bring them into our part of the world so that we can share their diseases — as in the case of New York’s current outbreak of West Nile encephalitis imported from Africa.

What we need is a hard-headed, masculine sort of altruism, which makes us as concerned for the preservation of our own racial quality as for the stamping out of the fur trade, the sort of altruism which leads us to sterilize our own defectives rather than permitting them to breed a White welfare class, just as it leads us to thin out the two-legged population of Africa rather than permitting it to continue encroaching on the four-legged populations.

And you know, whenever I say something like that I can hear the screams of protest in the background. I can hear the softheaded altruists screaming that I am advocating genocide, and oh, isn’t that awful. But as a matter of fact, it is their policies which are leading to a far more terrible genocide, with our race as the victim.

When one has a world overcrowded with races competing for a limited living area and limited resources, there will be genocide. The feminine altruists cannot face that hard fact, and their activities simply guarantee a bloodier and more destructive genocide in the end. The masculine altruists, on the other hand, should be capable of imposing a necessary discipline in order to preserve the health of a beleaguered planet and permit its most valuable life forms to continue developing, instead of being dragged down by the least valuable.

By stopping the cis white male scums, like the Canadians who wear flannels and axes while cutting trees.

No I don't mean Yellowstone. I mean the human intervention into the natural world, which has propelled the planet into a new geologic epoch that is without analogue for all of Earth history.

>which has propelled the planet into a new geologic epoch that is without analogue for all of Earth history
Meaning?
Nature's done it thousands of times worse thousands of times before.

the what?

>I mean the human intervention into the natural world, which has propelled the planet into a new geologic epoch that is without analogue for all of Earth history.

are you kidding.
Earth is just coming out from an ice age, both poles should be without any ice, a couple of thousands of years ago it was a forested land, not an ice filled no-mans-land.

That's not true. It's as I said: human beings brought the planet into a no-analogue state. For example, you have to go back 2.5 billion years into the past to find a comparable perturbation of the nitrogen cycle to the one that is happening now. Other current events (the trans-oceanic exchanges of marine floras and faunas) likely don't have any precedent in the geologic record at all.

This is just completely false, where are you getting this from?

Is that a quote from Pierce? If it is, I'll actually read him. Environmental concerns made me right wing.

that pic doesnt say anything besides buzzwords, got anything solid?

>where are you getting this from?

thats a great question i had an answer to from a nice science page.
unfortunately, im on the 6th page of Google right now and everything on these pages is Buzzfeed, the Guardian and CNN articles.

For the love of God, what happened to Google?

No, the earth isnt going to explode.
No, the surface wont turn into lava.
In fact, nothing will happen besides beach properties in florida needing to be pushed back 1 meter every 400 years.

...

>hat pic doesn't say anything besides buzzwords, got anything solid?
If you want something more substantial, you just have to read the article (there are more words after the abstract, you know...)

>No, the earth isnt going to explode.
>No, the surface wont turn into lava.
Who ever said it would? You're arguing against a non-existing position.

you don't expect me to respond to all of this crap, right?

We don't. We drain the planet in order to find a way off of it, and embrace our destiny as the virus of the universe.

by decreasing the population.

what? the picture?
the picture is filled with buzzwords.
if there is more, give me a link, because this picture doesnt prove a damn thing.

>you don't expect me to respond to all of this crap, right?

why would you, it only shows how "global warming" is a retarded meme for gullible people.

So far, global warming is a "consensus". Which means a certain commity has more people "believing" in it, that not.
Science isnt a democracy, or a religion.
Something either IS or ISNT.
There isnt a solid evidence for global warming, because its a lie.
There just isnt even a single, solid evidence.

There isnt a consensus on 2+2=4, for example, because its easy to prove.

If anything needs a "consensus", it means its bullshit.

What you need to understand is, humans aren't as badass as we like to think we are. The damage we could ever do to this planet pales by orders of magnitude to what nature does regularly(by earth-time standards). Our own species has weathered several of these catastrophic events. You live on a planet with volcanoes that's flying through space in a minefield of giant rocks.
The very metals we have used for eons as currency arrived here on asteroids that obliterated entire collections of species like it was just a sneeze.

You naive fools worried about global warming know nothing of pollution and catastrophe. Hell, you think ice ages are normal and that global cooling is now a good thing.
Lemme tell you what happens when cooling happens. People starve to death en masse. Plagues follow as people's immune systems wither from lack of nutrition.
Now, here's the fun part. Eventually you're going to get your cooling, after a big mountain blows its top. Volcanic winter. Most of us are fucked. People in cities are royally fucked. They'll be eating each other.

It's going to happen again, just as it has many times before.

Why should we?

thats a nice post.

You just have to put the article into google, the title is given right there. Is that really so hard for you?

As for this long meme image:
Let's just take the first implication of the image as an example. The point of the first three images is obviously to show that the role of CO2 is negligible because it has such a low concentration compared to other gases.
But that omits two crucially important facts:

(1) Most other gases that make up a majority of the atmosphere (N2, O2) have no impact on the surface temperature

(2) the next biggest greenhouse gas (water vapor; which by the way makes up only ~50% of the greenhouse effect, not 95%) can't change independent of climate and therefore can't drive it but rather acts as a positive climate feedback; which isn't the case for CO2.

That's why CO2 is called the "principal control knob of Earth's temperature" by climatologists.
But I don't think that any of that is going to matter to the sort of person who posts these ridiculous images. I actually think this is supposed to satirize climate 'skeptics', especially the end about "President Trump knows best :^)"

there is no averting, let it happen, like every other mass extinction even that happened.

also

2017

giving a fuck if this world makes it another 10 years.

didnt even bother to greentext it.

ive checked the article, no evidences, just a page filled with buzzwords.
Just like i expected.

>muh CO2

CO2 isnt destructive, in fact, CO2 makes plants grow bigger/faster.
Its something i learned in primary school, you know.
Basic biology.

CO2 doesnt even increase temperatures, there isnt a single solid proof of that.

climate consensus, lmao.

We don't. The planets needs a cataclysmic purge.

> How do we avert the coming environmental collapse?

If we assume it's caused by CO2 as you undoubtedly do: tear down the fucking windmills and build lots of nuclear power plants.

> by decreasing the population.

Yeah. Let's start by culling the population of oxygen thieves who turn it into CO2 and bad ideas. Green party politicians and Greenpeace members, come to mind there.

Overpopulation is real and its killing the planet. I am genuinely ashamed that great pacific garbage patch exists. Animals and plants are going extinct faster than ever.

Why can't you believe that 7 billion people can affect the planet, especially when we are all burning fuels, buying plastic or foam disposable goods, and driving more and more industrialization. Global warming really isnt about the human race, its about the planet.

>also, please stop talking about global warming like you have some authority

let it happen
by 2400 the planet will be uninhabitable for humans
let the whole fucking thing burn

overpopulation isnt real.

this planet can easily hold even 30 billion people.

Its not about what we can hold, its whats environmentally sustainable. Of course humans could cram billions of people on the planet, and the economy would probably look great on paper of we did, but we would live on a dead earth, and I just think its not worth it.

And just imagine a world with substantially less people, doesnt it sound amazing? All this modern tech and these resources are cheap abd readily available. Everyone is happoer with their jobs because they see the function they serve?

...

Kill communists and socialists, they are the worst environment destroyers (cuz they are extremely bad wich dealin0g with recources ).

>Its not about what we can hold, its whats environmentally sustainable.

the planet can easily sustain 30 billion people.

>And just imagine a world with substantially less people, doesnt it sound amazing?

not really....

no thats exactly what it means when we say the earth can hold 30 billion and more

You have to take them out of their urban environments.

The amount of nature destruction it's so much that no matter where you go, you'll be exposed to it and automatically redpilled by nature itself.

Human beings have become the biggest evolutionary force in operation right now, they commandeer between 25 - 40% of net primary production of the entire planet, have removed most of the apex predators in the terrestrial and marine ecosystems globally (with cascading effects on the Earth system), they have created a homogenization of animal assemblages that is unique ever since the supercontinent Pangaea fragmented 200 million years ago, and have subjected 45% of the Earth's surface to wholesale transformation.
The results are that there is a small number of extraordinarily abundant, invasive hybrid species that in some places outnumber native species, wild animals only make up ~5% of animal biomass anymore, vertebrate populations are in rapid decline all over the world and extinction rates are between 100 - 1000 times higher than normal background rates - signaling the onset of the sixth mass extinction in Earth history. All of this could induce rapid, nonlinear responses of the biosphere that might do us all in.

Talking about how insignificant humans are might sound convincing to some sections of the internet but it has no relationship to what's going on in the real world.

>being this uninformed and delusional
First of all, its heavily predicted that the world population will flatline at 9 billion.
Secondly, we cant sustain 7 billion, look at the great pacific garbage patch
And lastly, how does it feel to be the gas companies' sheep?

>but it has no relationship to what's going on in the real world.
I forgot, silly me! Volcanoes and meteors don't exist anymore! Black science man magicked them away! AWOOWOO AWOO!
I really hope I get to see Yellowstone fuck you ecotards up the ass. I know how to raise cole-crops and animals that eat cole-crops so I should be able to manage.
If you REALLY wanna help the planet, stop trying to cure hunger/starvation in the turd world, and let nature do its thing. And nuke chinese cities. And indian cities. In fact, nuke all cities.

let me ask you directly:
do you really think that the things I have been describing so far are caused by meteors and volcanoes rather than human beings?

Those "things" are nothing. NOTHING. Light bullshit that will seem like child's play when mother nature decides to troll us.

>How do we avert the coming environmental collapse?

realize it's fake.

Plant food trees and dig ponds

Holistic Planned Grazing can reverse deserts.
