No it isn't. In ponzi schemes you don't profit unless you're actively screwing people over. In bitcoin the profit margins just decrease the later you buy. Every time the price rises too high, demand falls and prices follow, which will cause an increase in demand, and therefore prices, for as long as bitcoin continues to allow traders to quickly and easily turn a profit.
