Because just like I predicted, he was going to keep drawing things out with side trips and rescue arcs. And when we do get relavent arcs, they get stretched out to eternity with thousands of stupid side characters. The series has been going on for 19 years and in that time we've gotten like a dozen arcs, and like 10 crew members.
In the next 19 years we'll get maybe 3 more arcs and maybe one new crewmember, BUT WHO CARES BECAUSE WE SEE WHACKY NEW CHARACTERS THAT SAY "PERCHO" AT THE END OF EVERY SENTENCE, AND FALL ASLEEP IN THE MIDDLE OF A CONVERSATION!
