Watches anime for a good amount of years

>Watches anime for a good amount of years
>Still can't read or speak moon

pathetic

Who are you quoting?

I'm learning okay
Dont be rude

The good folks are Crunchyroll provide me with professionally translated subtitles for all of the most popular anime.
The time I would spend on learning Nipponese I can instead spend on banging hot girls and having an active social life.

We don't have a thread to learn it, how am I supposed to learn it then?

>Wasting your time on learning another language in this time and age when subtitles exists

The only untranslated stuff are obscure porn and who needs translations for porn?

did he release the nude yet?

Sometimes it's more hot when it's covered

I have no faith in my self and I'm an insecure lazy NEET. That's my excuse.

I would only bother to learn Japanese if Japan was becoming a globally dominant culture.
But for now, the Anglo-Saxon Western Hemisphere is, so it makes more sense to just be capable of understanding English. Since all anime and manga from Japan that is relevant enough for the majority of anime and manga fans in the West is being translated quickly in English, I am not missing out on anything at all.

>learning a language just to watch cartoons

There is still a huge amount of untranslated anime and especially untranslated manga

only sometimes

They're being translated into English by other fans for free.

Huge number of classics that have not even been touched by any subber

>This f/a/ggot speaks chink
>Doesn't realise most of us here are a bunch of manchildren, who just want to watch shitty cartoons.
>Tries to validate his retarded life-choice with calling us pathetic
>Doesn't realise he makes himself look like a filthy, subhuman, weaboo retard, not even fit to breathe my air
pathetic

...

If it's great enough, somebody will find it and translate it.

>Not saving the Cornucopia in a bookmark.
>Needing to circlejerk about nonsense other than studying.
>Learning something from people that don't know the language either.

Be glad there's no thread like that anymore, it was pure cancer. Now people can fully use their time to study and watch stuff instead of doing nothing.

Not really. Fansubbers only work for attention and few plens care about old manga. Much easier and more rewarding for them to be the fifth group subbing a seasonal battle harem

>mfw those Indonesians sub literally EVERYTHING
Fucking sandniggers

>learning subhuman click click spoon-speak

Fansubbers don't matter anymore in the age of simulcast streaming.
It's the scanlators that matter.

But who knows, perhaps software will come that is advanced enough that even those will become superfluous.

I only know enough conversational Japanese appropriate for Hotel service. For all those shitty Jappo tourists visiting Guam, asking dumbass questions, There are fucking maps everywhere?!

Simulcats are even less likely to touch something that isn't brand new

indonfag here, the worst thing you want to do is mixing islam with anime

shitton of cringe thanks to that

Tell me about it. Worse than niggers mixing with anime.

Why the fuck would I learn a language to better support my escapist hobbies?

I mean Jesus, I'd learn it if I was actually going to Japan.

>Half a house with little sister
>Little sister is a Japanese language teacher
>Every year she has Japanese schoolgirls for home stay

Why have I not learn Japanese to seduce?!

Of course. Nothing of value is lost anyway if simulcast streaming services don't translate the older anime shows.
The modern anime fanbase wants the newest thing as quickly as possible, watching it around the same time as Japan watches things.

But since fansub-groups only cared about attention and only wanted to translate the newest anime shows themselves, it was good that they stopped trying to compete with professionals who get the anime shows earlier than anybody else by virtue of being the licensee.
If the fansubbers really cared about, they would do all the older shows, and fulfill the niche that is open to them. But since they don't, nobody will miss them.

I only need to know the word uresai if I ever visit Japan

they would probably be grossed out by your attempt.

>No real japanese knowledge
>Familiar with enough anime tropes and phrases to follow along without glancing at the subs

>watched too much anime to correctly predict what's going to happen next

>mfw sometimes say "etto" out loud in public while thinking

Cute, user, cute!

pls be a cute girl and pls be in swansea

I only read manga
I wish I could read moon it'd open up a whole new porn world but for the sake of my life and my dick its probably for the best

this, i've been in japan and sometimes i'd understand conversations. their vocabulary seems small

The most pathetic part is they hate dubs even though they can't understand moon

>learning the language of a country that hates you
>learning a language because your favourite kids shows are in japanese and not because you actually want to talk to people

>remembered using "ara ara" accidentally in highschool in front of my friends
>the girls look at me in utter disgust

>mfw a fat neckbeard said kawaii next to me
Which one of you was it?

I carried my bookbag like this all through freshmen high, despite it placing a huge strain on my shoulder and wrist, and would occasionally bump against people walking the other direction.

You are a true bakaero if you think I havent learned fluent nihongo from watching anime over the last 15 years. You are truely the nasakenai one

>not holding it against your chest like a qt loli

"I think I can understand moon because I watched a lot of anime" is one of my favorite memes.

Not that guy but I actually do that if I have something I consider precious.
It's not even from anime

Next year, you'll see!

>learn the kana and get tired of flipping anki decks for kanji/radical shit
in 4 years i'll be good, slowly but surely.

i do that too sometimes, fuck is that an anime only thing?

>tfw too poor to ever go to Japan
>tfw stalked salarymen all over the terminal last time I was at a major airport in order to get some live listening experience

Planning a trip to Japan for the Olympics, I'm working at it.

Anime japanese is nothing like real japanese.

When I wear sunglasses I do this like every few minutes. Feels so autistic but oh so good.

You really need to try harder when you bait

Learning moon hasn't gotten me jack shit.

I got my current job because of it, I've got a translation gig on the side, and I also have a good number of close friends because they genuinely care about the little things about Japanese culture.

Oh. Oh I see now.

hidoi

Yeah, but like everything else, it hasn't gotten you laid.

そりゃ男だったら日本で言ってもも変だろ

「やれやれ」か「おやおや」の方がいいと思う
ま、「おやおや」はちょっとジジくさいかもしれんが

Pin-pon, you're right about that one buddy.

How fucking weak are you lol

I was a computer science student, guess

I can read hiragana, that's something at least.

There are no stupid reasons to learn a new language.

Autistes for some reason often feel the need to carry every book for every subject around with them. Knew a guy in my uni's anime club that walked around with a waist supported backpack who kept everything in there. Others in the club did the same thing, but didn't go full LARP with the waist support.

Same for some of the guys in highschool, although most of the guys that joined the anime club then were guys of disparate interests that liked one of the big three and joined to fuck around watching anime while meeting mandatory extra-curricular requirements.

誰?ばかやろう

Wrong.

日本語をちゃんと勉強しなければ、上達しないことは当然。

You don't really believe that.

>watch anime for years
>never learned how to speak in moonrunes
>manage to somehow get the accent right
>sound legitimately nippon even when speaking gibberish nippon
>some classmates in my uni think i'm legitimately nippon
>this has been going on for a whole year
