Historians already fought over this, contrary to a popular belief germans likes to whitewash their history. After the war they tried hard to find some exactions on german minorities by the poles yet they found very little. There is only the "Bromberg massacre" thing but it happenned during the conflict, it was not one sided and the german fifth collumn was involved which was confusing for the polish army that was in a chaotic retreat. Anyway Goebbels changed 300-400 "civilians" germans deaths to 60 000 for propagande purposes, the fun thing is that today's wehraboos are using this exact same source to spread their ideology
