Watched some of the earlier debate, great exchanges with Pat Toomey (R-PA) fending off retards like Claire McKaskill.
So there's an amendment proposed that would allow universities that dont take federal funding to not owe tax on their charitable endowments. One of the institutions it would benefit is Hillsdale, a major self funded conservative university. And they just kept berating him with questions about how this is unnecessary because the donors to the endowment are already allowed to deduct their charitable giving. They just played stupid and made Toomey explain over and over that this was a chance to reward universities that dont take any federal money. It was mind boggling to see such juvenile argumentation in the US Senate

Under SALT you can deduct your state income tax from your federal taxable income. EXAMPLE:
