Even the cross is a pagan symbol

Damn dude. Imagine how happy you could be if you just let it go.

That's like saying "9/11 has cinematic origins" because 9/11 had vague similarities to a movie made in the 1970s.

Just because one idea precedes another in time does not necessarily mean that the latter idea actually comes from the former idea.

You actually have to demonstrate the fact and degree of derivation using historical sources. You're using the word "origins" like there are actually established and SIGNIFICANT connections rather than vague speculations from Lutherans and gaytheists and neofagans.

Every single fucking day on the calandar was a holiday in some part of the world at some time. Should Christians just not have had any holidays because God forbid they should happen to coincide on one of the 365 days of the year where a dead religion from centuries or millenia ago also happened to have had a holiday?

You people are whining endlessly about nothing.

>halloween
I don't understand how this one is related to modern christianism, could you explain?

Seriously, the pagans larpers are the fucking cancer of this board, kys

This.
The best way to tell if a christian is legit is if they DONT wear crosses and recognize them as idolatry.

Blows my mind everytime I see some deluded protestant praising Jesus with a cross in thier hands. They're better than Catholics however, champions of vanity/blasphemy

>christianity
God does not exist
Stop pretending like it does.

Name one thing P*gans built or accomplished that rivals Christians

Sven theres a negative spirit inside you, copтиpoвaть ceбя

All Hallows Eve is the night before All Hallows Day (All Saints Day). Hallows is an old fashioned word for Saints. It's a Catholic holiday.

Getting really sick of all these religion threads and the constant muh paganism this and that.

Catholicism really isn't Christianity.

That's because people who convert don't fully let go of their past traditions. As a result Christianity changes slightly. This makes a good argument against immigration, since there are shit cultures that we'd all prefer to not absorb elements of.

the roman empire

This thread is fucking stupid. Meme flags are fucking stupid and LARPagans are fucking stupid.
Just because these things share dates with old pagan holidays does not mean that there is any other connection.

Not even close to Christian empires

Everything.not worshiping jews has pagan origins in yahwahism mythology.

>The best way to tell if a christian is legit is if they DONT wear crosses and recognize them as idolatry.
So the best way to tell if a Christian is legit or not, is by not understanding the nature of idolatrism?

Thanks

None of those actually have pagan origins. They happen to fall around similar dates to certain preexisting holidays and so certain traditions of these holidays have been carried over.

Easter is the most ridiculous one, considering its date is dependent on Passover. Its "pagan origins" amount to a superficial similarity in name to the Goddess Eostre, its pronounced completely differently and the connection doesn't even exist in non Germanic languages.

>easter

Faggots do you know how is Easter called in non-english speaking countries?

i think that's exactly the point.

>Easter is the most ridiculous one, considering its date is dependent on Passover. Its "pagan origins" amount to a superficial similarity in name to the Goddess Eostre, its pronounced completely differently and the connection doesn't even exist in non Germanic languages.
let's see:
-eostre/ostara/easter
-festival of life and rebirth celebrated in april
-originated in northern europe following the christianization of the anglo-saxons, who followed a variant of germanic paganism

Exodus calls for three feasts a year, and one of them was to end the year. Christmas is the Christian interpretation of that feast.

Which is why none of those things were incorporated until Alexander forced pagan traditions on Christians, ages after Christ died.

Not sure how you determined that this in any way discredits the most-scribed-ever historical account of Christ's life performing miracles, innocent death, resurrection and ascension. But yeah, you must know better than the people that literally gave their lives upon insisting what they saw was true and the 5700+ manuscripts we currently have, because Santa isn't in the Bible. Thanks, OP.

>Christianity
>Catholicism

You should know by now that the catholic church is a pagan corrupt deception. The current pope is a false prophet and none of their teachings come from the Bible, but from men.

Jesus came in order to abolish those kind of robe wearing hypocrites that draw people away from a true relationship with the Lord. lurk more

>nature can be a church
Damn pagans.

Ya, Christianity (the church organization) is pagen. They co-opted the pagan dates, because they worship that shit. We're dumb, and follow the church. They are not real church holidays.

The Mongol empire

That's odd coming from a brit. Look at the mongols now. Christianity is objectively superior.

dumbest thing I have ever read

>Believes athiest propaganda that even atheist intellectuals admit is false

Really makes you think.
