Last but not least, the interview with yoh yoshinari:

animeanime.jp/article/2016/12/26/31933.html

Interview with Yoshinari. Details:
>They decided to start from Akko's arrival to the school to work on the world building and the mysteries of Luna Nova. He felt that the world in the movies felt a bit small and wants to expand it.
>One of the reasons he decided to do a TV series over more movies is that there are many things he wants to do. For example, in a movie the focus would always be around Akko but in a TV series he can even give focus to characters like Amanda or Constance.
>Even if Yoshinari tried to trim it for a TV series, they still ended up having a large amount of unique mob characters on screen.
>Yoshinari wants to make a show for kids that can be enjoyed by adults because Trigger has done nothing of the sort.
>In terms of the story, he wants to balance surprising developments and delivering on the audience expectations. He mentions Gurren-Lagann as contrast, because Gurren-Lagann was a show that followed the usual pattern of super-robot anime.
>He picked Hori as main animator because Hori is someone that can animate magical creatures and make them feel real. He says that drawing magic is easy but drawing magic that feels real is harder.
>In terms of the feel, they're aiming for something that combines the feel of a Japanese magical girl anime with the more classical foreign image of a wizard (like in Lord of the Rings or Merlin from the Arthur legend)
>He hopes to be able to make the characters interesting and deep in the long term.

I haven't been paying attention, is this going to be on Netflix?

So close.

Yeah.

Yes, but lets hope a sub group picks it up

>Yoshinari wants to make a show for kids that can be enjoyed by adults
i don't like the sound of this, so its gonna be u?

I have absolutely no idea what sort of logic you used to reach this conclusion.

show for kids

...

I am going to marry this witch!

i mean U rating.

Okay, Akko.

Yeah, it's going to be family friendly. Just like the OVAs.

Say thanks to based Yoh

>confirmed no yuri
>confirmed no romance except maybe boy crushes

This is going to be so good

Then it's going to be family friendly like the the first and second movies.

>[YouTube] Little Witch Academia (2017) Trailer (embed)
I think you messed up

>boy crushes

I want this, it makes everything extra cute.

>sucy in a kimono

Are you people really excited for another quality trigger anime?

Threadly reminder.

That is absolutely not confirmed. It's not even been addressed. Why would it have been?

I'm going to watch the LWA stuff that's already out today, what am I in for?

I made a mistake here's the first two ova's fucking 4chanx

PV 1

PV 2
youtube.com/watch?v=pgz2bMz-Zz8

now I can kill myself with no regrets

>tfw you will never be a cute boy living near the academia, meeting sexy boy-starved witches on regular basis
why do I even bother with this world

I mean pv's,

I swear im going retard with each passing day on this fucking site

Two OVAs titled "Little Witch Academia."

Yoshinari and Imaishi have very different sensibilities when it comes to anime. I don't know why you're expecting him to make the same thing Imaishi would.

>that linking
WEW LAD

First ova is near perfection. It's a treat, it's like you bought a meal that you thought sounded great when you saw it on the menu, received the meal and left very satisfied.

Second isn't as good but if you liked the setting and characters of the first one then you'll probably like this movie as well.

I want an episode where Luluco walks in on Lotte and Akko raping Nova-kun

>Imaishit is nowhere to be seen
Good

You're in for a surprise.

It's his studio, motherfucker.

He did KA on ep 3 and he's storyboarding at least one episode.

Sorry but I don't watch anime with Finns in it.

4chanx is fucked my shit, forgive me user

The two LWA movies/ovas are filled with quality reminiscent of KLK and the minimalistic and cartoony style is very similar. There is no reason not to expect similar levels of quality from the LWA series.

>LWA1 debuts at Anime Expo
>LWA1 is positively received, Kickstarter for LWA2 is set up
>LWA2 Kickstarter is a big success
>LWA2 debuts
>LWA2 is positively received
>Trigger announces LWA television anime
>LWA TV will be on Netflix
>Yoshinari interview adds to the hype
[You are here]
>shitposters and false flaggers raise the excitement to unrealistically high expectations like with Kill la Kill before it aired
>LWA TV debuts
>of course it doesn't meet the unrealistically high expectations
>LWA TV is positively received by normalfags and becomes more mainstream
>LWA series becomes hated by Sup Forums

>The two LWA movies/ovas are filled with quality reminiscent of KLK
Such as?

>Imaishi
>storyboarding
Is this bizarro Trigger?
Also, as long as they don't let him withing 10 feet of the director chair I'm fine

>implying there was a single episode of KLK that looked as good as LWA for more than a minute
Ha ha, delusion

Episode 5 looked really good and I would say it was on par with the first LWA OVA
Just that episode though

>give focus to characters like Amanda

>the two movies/ovas are fillied with quality

So did you actually watch the movies?

You could say the entire thing since the art is so simple, but here you go, a quality frame.

Is this bait

Are you stupid or just pretending?

>using an inbetween frame as a screenshot for an example when it's in motion

are you baiting or are you actually this fucking retarded

It was also one of the episodes Imaishi had nothing to do with, and probably a residual from the original version of the show before Director-san took his scissor blade to it

Die

>that Making Of documentary where Imaishi throws out a well-animated draft of Mako's shenanigans and replaced it with the more simple, choppy animation
The poor animator must have spent ages drawing it out and Imaishi tosses it, what a dick

It still looks great even if it's an inbetween frame. user's just baiting, don't give him attention.

Are you also a DB super shill?

marry sucy

MOST POWERFUL RACE

I hope we get more wacky animation effects like these in the show

>using an intentional inbetween that show cases yoh yoshinaris western influences and even then it was well animated

I think you should stop with your baits, user also

>shill

>probably a residual from the original version of the show before Director-san took his scissor blade to it
Why do you hate Imaishi so much that you'll make this sort of far fetched attempt at divorcing him from the good aspects of his show?

Link?

I'd say marketer, but you are doing it for free so shill is appropirate.

>m-m-mu-mu-muhh pantyshuuuts
you're not making any point here, leave

Just search "making of kill la kill" on Nyaa, though there aren't many seeds

Because the huge drop in quality in the middle of the show that makes the last third feel incredibly lackluster
The tournament arc is literal dogshit

>quality is okay as long as it's by the saviors of anime

The difference here is that the frame you posted from KlK is representative of the entire scene and the frame from LWA isn't.

>deliberate decision to not draw a magic skirt OR panty shot is QUALITY
Off yourself

the key word is "motion", I'll let you figure out the rest

Stop giving him (You)s

I gave him the benefit of doubt seeing how he actually went through the trouble of getting these screencaps

Yes, and that leg making the c shape is not quality, right? Or the other leg looking incredibly short and disproportionate? Face it, you wouldn't know quality unless someone pointed it out to you, and funnily enough, you just proved that by just going by the filename. Check and mate ;)

an (embed) to you too user kun!

I want sucy to experiment with my mushroom

This guy is trying too hard

Man, waiting for subs is going to be ass.

This is the first anime I'm legit excited for since 2013.

>what's an inbetween

Stop giving him attention, man

It's going to be subbed on Netflix though, isn't it?

still unconfirmed if they're dropping it all at once when Japan finished airing

I don't even care about the series, I just want the doujins to continue. Literally every character is a semen demon except for megane

Reminder that this will figuratively, or literally happen in the anime.

>continue
There's like two, and only one of them is scanned and on the internet. unless you have any more, then do tell

I'd bet on it, considering Ajin.

Fuck off

I don't think I will lad. Why don't you go fuck off yerself?

You keep posting this garbage but it's never happening.

>That giant rooster in the first PV
Is that how this year is going to be?

What time do the episode become available on Netflix? Wednesdays each week?

What are you talking about?
There's nothing unusual about Imaishi storyboarding.

I'm hyped.

Most likely, considering that Netflix main audience are binging normalfags

D-dont

I meant that Imaishi is (in)famous for being unable to stick to a storyboard or even bother to storyboard until the last second.

Episode 5 is not even in the top 10 of KLK's best animated episodes, what are you talking about?

The imaishi storyboarded episode will probably be the worst one

our only hope is to have small threads just when episodes air, to avoid attracting too many contrarian fucktards

I'm just trying to keep things light hearted, but you seem determined to be damned serious about whether, or not a thing happens in an anime.
