It was done better in the game. The anime also added lines that weren't there.
I've never played the game but when I was watching it, I thought the anime was pretty much setting her up to be the Rin of the series since her being haughty, kind of tsundere, and a talented mage is the obvious parallel. And I thought she would help guide them and travel with them through the other singularities.
I would have much preferred having her there to complete the trio instead of just only having "starstruck for senpai" Mash.

MC and main girl had no personality, Olga was pointless besides some ridiculous death scene to show how evil SW was. The only decent fight scene was Cu and Archer, other than that it was the Wall. It wasn't terrible but had no redeeming qualities outside Cu. It was bad and people who like it are wrong.

I think Nasu wrote the plot for the game, but someone else wrote the actual script. But the prologue felt pretty terribly written and some anons in another thread were saying the writing was bad till Nasu started writing again so guess it's all shit
