Why is it that intelligent, well-rounded, well-read and educated people tend to be left-leaning? Virtually every lawyer/engineer/doctor/professor I've known has been liberal and left-leaning.
It seems that only the uneducated and close-minded tend to be right-wing.

Same. You can't spout any conservative opinions in the workplace without risking punishment. Just a while ago a chick got fired from her job for posting on her FB with 'it's okay to vote no'. This was regarding the same sex marriage plebiscite in Oz.

The intelligent and educated tend to be politically correct, if they opened their mouth they wouldn't appear so open minded as you think they are.
The uneducated on the other hand tend to voice their opinions without caring what others think, that makes them appear close minded, but they are just being honest.

That's not true, unless all these professionals you speak of are Jews or diversity hires. Lawyers especially seem to lean right, rest are mixed, with professors being the only ones who lean left. Almost every white working professional I know is a conservative.

That's the thing, conservatives are the ones considered intolerant, but it's almost always libs saying this shit. Conservatives will discuss their beliefs and politics with anyone civilly with mutual respect, can't be said about liberals.

simple a lot of it is just a facade. I have a master's degree and work in a very liberal profession. I'd be fired in a heartbeat if I ever mentioned anything contrary to liberal ideology. my social media is clean and absent of anything political. I nominally agree to their absolutely retarded drivel but that is in no way how I actual feel.

Probably, but if you work in a liberal sphere you at least have to pretend to be apolitical. If you work in a university, it's best to pretend that and then stop giving a shit when you get tenured, at like age 50.

Neo cons and neo libs are traitors. These "educated" people only chase after money and they have no sense of community, they are comfy with having an engineered society that barley has any cohesion and they will suffer the most for their delusion when the economy finally crashes.

>right-leaning >uneducated >close(d)-minded I don't believe that for a fucking second. They're hiding in plain sight if you have never met a right-leaning "renaissance man". The cultural norm is very antagonistic for such people and for bullshit reasons too. That same group has tradies and boots on the ground, on top of the innumerable autist sleeper cells that somehow come out full force when maximum asshurt is in the works on the chans.
On top of age and experience, it's a well known axiom that you should hide your powerlevel. Tactics & Countertactics 101.

I'm a big lit guy and it's pretty easy to see why some many "book people" are left-leaning - it's because 95% of what they read conforms to and reaffirms their views. The modern literary scene is just one big pseudo-intellectual leftist circlejerk about disabled trannies and WE WUZ negroes in space. We need more intelligent right-wingers to write fiction that breaks apart those assertions.
Also don't assume well-educated = intelligent. A lot of academia people are actually pretty stupid.
Adam Lee
Same here. People think i'm a left, leaning even socialist (go bernie!) and total cosmopolitan cheerleader. In truth, 14/88.

Considering the treatment conservatives, and generally right-leaning people are given by the media and SJ institutions, I'm even surprised about how many intellectuals still identify as Conservatives. The right wing has dominated the academia and generally the entire intellectual discourse at least up until the 90's. There have only been spikes of the number of Marxist and Socialist thinkers, of (((a certain ethnic identity))), during the Marx era and early 20th century, but aside from Noam Chomsky, I don't recall many left leaning academics who have contributed to any academic field as significantly as the top right-wingers. Besides, most significant intellectuals don't even have some radical leaning in any direction, the left-right spectrum is for retards.

>plenty of studies out there just a google search away Bro, if you make a claim have some backing ready to give when someone's asking you for it, don't tell me to google it ffs, i'm not willing to spend half a second moving my finger to do your job.
Now, I do have the data backing me that most Economists and engineers are right-wing, even if they identify as right-libertarians instead of conservatives. Most social studies and humanities "intellectuals", are left for the very obvious reasons, that has always been that way, and I expect it to remain that way. Most scientists, do not have a political affiliation, and if they do, they most likely do it on the basis of whether a left or right policy would benefit them personally more, (in terms of what kind of policy enables them to do their research, financially).
Why do you think that virtually every lawyer/engineer/doctor/professor isn't black? Why are blacks so underrepresented among the intelligent, well-rounded, well-read people?
>uneducated >close-minded
Does it follow that only the uneducated and close-minded tend to be black?

Could it simply be that people who are more educated are more likely to believe in the power of education over genetics due to survivorship bias, kind of like how talented athletes and artists tend to discredit their own gifts in favor of the power of hard work?

The university intellectuals also play an important role in carrying out the System's trick. Though they like to fancy themselves independent thinkers, the intellectuals are (allowing for individual exceptions) the most oversocialized, the most conformist, the tamest and most domesticated, the most pampered, dependent, and spineless group in America today. As a result, their impulse to rebel is particularly strong. But, because they are incapable of independent thought, real rebellion is impossible for them. Consequently they are suckers for the System's trick, which allows them to irritate people and enjoy the illusion of rebelling without ever having to challenge the System's basic values.
Because they are the teachers of young people, the university intellectuals are in a position to help the System play its trick on the young, which they do by steering young people's rebellious impulses toward the standard, stereotyped targets: racism, colonialism, women's issues, etc. Young people who are not college students learn through the media, or through personal contact, of the "social justice" issues for which students rebel, and they imitate the students. Thus a youth culture develops in which there is a stereotyped mode of rebellion that spreads through imitation of peers—just as hairstyles, clothing styles, and other fads spread through imitation.
