Probably not. Emilia's reasons for giving the name are sort of weak, but at least explained. It was a polite-ish way of telling him to piss off. It sets up Emilia as a stronger character than she really ends up being for most of the series.

As for Pete, he had a hard life and mostly just went insane. His affection for Satella is likely due to his mind breaking and repurposing his love for his actual waifu.

The S2 would be an adaptation of the LNs and the LNs are still in the Ruins part of Arc 4 .

Subaru is also suspicious for having a star name which possibly relates to the Sage Flugel who also names shit after stars. His apprentice is Shaula, also a star name.
