Princess mononoke

anyone seeing this? its in theaters only today

Yes.

>dubfags

Kill yourself

Was thinking about it, missed the subbed one on friday though and I'm a bit bummed, it's only dubed today.

Why? Ive already seen it like 20 times.

i missed the subbed showing on friday and i only know about this cause facebook had it as a "sponsored" post and its like oh wow i havent seen this ghilbi movie why not
havent seen it lmoa

le dub est bon

Yeah, but I saw the dub as a kid, I'd rather have seen the sub on the big screen once.

Not to mention sub tracks (on home releases at least) often fuck up the background sounds for whatever reason.

I'm about to catch it with my sister tonight, whom I only recently found out likes Studio Ghibli films

You're going to see this with someone else... r-right anons?

The dub for this movie is fucking excellent you wanker

It's nice to not have to stare at the subtitles once in a while for fuck's sake

>You're going to see this with someone else... r-right anons?
No.

I already went to the Jan 5th showing (Japanese Dub) but I am not sure if I feel like going tonight (english dub). Aside from the fact that it's a dub, this may be the last time to see this movie in theaters in awhile. However, I already saw this movie 3 days ago, would have to shower, and drive 40 mins just to see it again. The only plus here is that i'll be taking advantage of it's short lived return to theatres, which i already technically took advantage of 3 days ago. should I go tonight, or stay home Sup Forums?

One user said I should go if the sub was my first time seeing it, which it was. I just feel too depressed to get a shower then make the 40 min drive ;_;

We wait u

>He serious.

No worries I already got a refund for tonight's ticket! I think I made the right decision for me, I probably was not going to have very much fun driving 40 minutes to see a movie in theatres that I just saw 3 days ago that I could technically watch right now online if I wanted! However I am very much looking forward to the Ghost in the Shell re-release now

>gf loves manga
>hates anime
wtf?

how embarrassing. just ditch her while you still can

But she has better taste than him, she should be the one to ditch anyone.

I was going to get some tickets at my local theater but turns out it was sold out. I didn't think that the weebs would be so plentiful

>facebook
>hurrr I hate reading

I knew dubfaggotry was bad but wew there hahaha

I went to see the subbed version on Thursday and it was actually full. I think its the first time I've ever been in a full theater in awhile, really wasn't expecting there to be that many people.

I was pretty excited to watch it, too. The only theater within my area showing it was like a 40 minute drive, and when I asked hearing that it was sold out, I was pretty bummed.

What was the crowd like? Was it full of neckbeards?

Mine was full of attractive people and their fucking girlfriends, anime is dead. Don't do it. There was like one ugly neckbeard there, but even he had a girlfriend.

No. It was mostly groups of teenagers and couples in the ~24-25 area.

It's a Ghibli film so its to be expected for the crowd to be relatively normal.

A funny thing though, before the movie started they showed a SAO screen and like half the theater started laughing.

I saw it on friday with ym gf and tjought it was pretty good. They showed a music video before the screening, and although confusiing, was entertaining.

I'm not really an Sup Forums regular, more of a normalfag if anything. Just needed a place to discuss :^)

Has there already been anniversary editions of other Miyazaki movies? Any chance for some future ones?

>more of a normalfag if anything

Eh, at least you admit it; not like the dumbasses from /r9k/ or Sup Forums who complain about the "normies" on twitter and facebook and shit.

>Has there already been anniversary editions of other Miyazaki movies?

They had one for Spirited Away, don't know if there's gonna be any more.

>full of neckbeards?
>ghibli
Ghibli is for normalfags user, at best you'll see pretentious artcore hipsters, and families.

Ah, well. I can just go pirate Mononoke and other Ghibli movies and watch them, anyway. Can't beat the big screen, though.

I didn't like Mononoke, and the audience was kinda shit, so seeing it at home might have been better, but yeah, Spirited away was very good. I'm pretty content with watching them at home though, the audience's laughter and noises get pretty annoying. I think I'll watch the rest of his films like that.

>SAO
Fuck me, I looked at the other anime fathom events and it's garbage like SAO or wan piss and that's everything for the year. I don't know why but I was hoping that they might do some other famous anime.

iirc Kimi No Na Wa is supposed to air sometime in 2017, not sure if it'll be fathom or not
